I have finally figured out how to make a playable therapist and have an office for him.

In Thalia and Duma Key, I created a psychiatrist (Dr. Freedman, whom I've described before), placed him into a family, made him buy a 'office" (already set up for him) with his funds and have him go there to set it to open all the time.

It has Inge's meeting controller panels and the electrono ticket machine, and when he returns home, I made him into a townie, cleared him off the lot and thus his office is always open for business but I don't have to worry about his clients because only the playables I send there show up.

It's an elegant solution to a scenario I've been working on for a while. It took a while to figure out how to do it without adding a new family in and it works for any community lot should one want one open but not have to look after the owner.

The "lights" are ON in the lot imposters in Downtown in Open for Business. All floors are dark in FreeTime and Mansion. This is true for both lots that I have built on, and ones that I have not.

I discovered I could fufill my teenage dreams of deleting Sims without fear of corruption, thanks to the wonderful April Black on here and YouTube. As a very indecisive player, I'm glad I can finally humanely get rid of unwanted Sims instead of having to murder them on a far away killing lot.

I ramble a lot, and get confused easily, so my apologies to you in advance.

I spent a great deal of time aligning two bookshelves to not intersect the walls and each other. I think they look nice. To my dismay, people would try to pick up books from behind the club chair and stomp the foot. We study hard in the Academy of LeTourneau, even during parties. Now, I set the inner bookshelf to Disabled, and it can stay there without causing trouble.

It is possible to Disable objects not to be used for any reason. Like when visitors come and do silly things.

Disabled is how items for sale or people in faded rooms are.

I only learnt a couple of years ago that if you buy one of the Solar Panels or the wind Windmill it will generate income. If you have a small lot then the amount will be more than your bills so you never have to go to the post box to pick up or pay bills. If you have a bigger lot then just add more panels or windmills. The postman still comes but you just get a message telling how much you have made once the bills have been deducted.

You should get him to learn couple's counselling! And he could have the business perk to improve customers' mood. I also think he should buy the ReNuYu-Senso-Orb to offer in case someone wants to come out of therapy with a drastically changed perspective. If he uses the social "Ask... What do you want?" then he might be able to increase a sim's aspiration enough to allow them to safely use it. (It's a shame that outings don't allow you to see the other sim's wants panel, like a date).

Check out my thoughts on Psymchology (Sim Psychology) - latest post is on the main six aspirations.

That is a thought about the couples counseling, but so far he is treating the mentally distressed. (I have the Traits system in my game-one being "unstable' and the other being 'insane')

But also, I could send couples there to talk to one another for therapy-I'd done something similar with a lot before-two chairs and neither one of them could leave until they got their relationship back up where it should be. It always worked.

Couples therapy is just talking to each other with someone else there to make sure that you don't kill each other. XD It also costs more.

I didn't know that toddlers could eat sand!

I guess I had never taken a toddler to a beach lot before. I even bought a sandpit (cc) to put it over the sand and pretend the kid was playing on the sand, and then I thought "I wonder what options he'll have if I click on the sand," and there it was!

I hang out sometimes because I prefer this over the aggressive stand up chat. It is very rare that I see them on the floor. The ones that I happened to see were young adults, which I started playing only recently.

Hang out is great. While normal sim chatting can negatively impact a relationship and end the chat, hangout doesn't. They keep chatting even if they disagree on some topics.

That's odd. I select "hang out" and everybody sits down on the floor. If they're near a dining table or sofa with someone already on it those people can join the hangout without moving, but all my hangouts have a huge floor component.

Teens can play with the firetrucks!

Sit on the floor. But very rarely/some people lay on the back on the floor. Looks funny when there is sometimes a large piece of furniture between the chatters.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the hunger drop happens at all if they are off-lot at the time due to being at work. Eating at work and school happens whenever the sim is hungry enough, also, and not at a set time.

I couldn't tell if she wanted to be a ghost or to see a ghost. So far no deaths by satellite yet, hopefully she's not the first!

I thought the only toys sims could play with once they grew past child stage were the dollhouse, sir-bricks-a-lot, teddy bear, and the water sprinkler (which is also usable by pets). But the other day one of my teen sims wandered into the nursery, sat down, and started playing with a firetruck!

^ They can also play with the toy robot. I've had Pascal practice robot making, and placed a couple of the robots outside. The adults in the house love playing with them (especially Vidcund and Lazlo, after work ).

It was no surprise to me when, in the Anderson household on the day they moved into their new home in Monopolis by Veronaville, a Downtownie 'phoned at 1 minute past six in the evening, asking to speak to Josh, who is planning to open a business nearby soon. But when Josh got to the 'phone, the Downtownie turned out to be Lora Jones, who is still a child. She did talk briefly to Josh on the 'phone, but she didn't invite him to go downtown clubbing with her!!

Despite the surname being Jones, Lora is not, as far as I know, related to Andrew or Gloria. Jones is a very common surname.

All Sims are beautiful -- even the ugly ones.

Seems like all ages can lay on the back while hanging out, but they cannot be positioned diagonally, and there needs to be free room behind, which there often isn't.
