Default Pet Adoption Pool;
Hello, has anyone ever made a default pet adoption pool? Is it even possible?
if so, is there anyone who can tell me step-by-step how to do so? After playing with the pets expansion since its release, I am sick of seeing the same pets in the adoption pool every time I start a new neighborhood.

So long as you have strays the game can make baby pets. It does the same thing for baby human sims, takes one male townie and one female townie and mix their genes.

Download the empty pets hood that replaces the original. Then dont use the nostrayrespawn mod and when a sim calls the pet adoption the game will use the strays it creates when you start a new hood and fill the adoption pool.

If you wanted to make your own custom strays pool, you could make it as a subhood like this: https://modthesims.info/d/570154/de...od-version.html

Or take a copy of the clean Pets stealth hood, and add them there, then offer that as a default replacement P001 template.

This is the tutorial for creating a clean/shareable subhood e.g. for template purposes

I use the sims as a psychology simulator...

To add to this: I realised the other day that the stray pool and the pet adoption pool are not the same.

If you spawn the townie/NPC gun from debug mode, and change species to dog/cat, you get an option to generate strays, which are basically like townie pets - they appear as walkbys and on community lots, but aren't available to adopt, or you can generate "orphan pets" - these do not appear as walkbys, but show up to be adopted.

Sorry for the super late response, I truly thought no one else was going to respond to this thread & stopped checking it.
