Default Sim Wardrobe and SimMetamorphoser don't work
I reinstalled the Sims 1 two days ago and found that the Sim Wardrobe and SimMetamorphoser don't work at all. They have the same drop box saying.... Unrecoverable Error - Program Execution Halted. 'Error: 63 Bad record number'. I don't understand what this means. Can somebody give me some help? Thanks.

They both start up fine for me -- I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro -- though some of the features don't work as well as they might.

The Sim Wardrobe and Sim Metamorphoser programs require the Visual Basic 6 runtime system to work. Do you have that installed?

Sim Wardrobe also requires that TABCTL32.OCX be installed; I found this page at Microsoft Answers to be helpful in figuring out how to get that installed in Windows 8.1, even though the answer is for Windows 7, so it may work for Windows 10, as well: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...51-5d6353ed3105

(I'm not any kind of computer expert, so I don't know what your error message means.)

I've made some mods for The Sims 1 -- yes, The Sims ONE :-) -- which you can find at http://corylea.com/Sims1ModsByCorylea.html

Thanks for the reply. I did all the things you mentioned but still no goal.
