Holy OMG! I have 9.60 gigs with 34,414 files I had NO idea it was that bad! I probably use barely any of those files too. I'm one of those who grabs everything I even think I might like/use, including themed stuff for sci-fi, fantasy, grunge, Harry Potter, etc. What I should do is shove all that in temp folders so I can load it situationally if I want to make a themed family or neighborhood hmm... Plus I need to delete all the stuff I thought was pretty but actually looks like crap in-game

Time to cleanup :eviltongu The game loads a bit slow but runs perfectly fine with no lag once it does load... and I have an old computer (thank you 2 gigs of RAM)

I used to have 40,000 files ~ 20 Gb (must be some kind of record:P) , well, as you may figure...my game was unplayable. So one day I just deleted them all and started over... Right now I'm not sure how much it is but not more than 10.000 files anyway...Time to start cleaning. >_< Yes, I'm a downloadaholic. :P

Update: I deleted some files...
so... 629 mb -> 2634 files / 62 folders.
No custom clothes.. I have only objects, make up and hair.

My Downloads folder is "only" 1.57G, and I do suffer from slow load times. (I was concerned that my custom content was out of control, so these confessions of 9G+ make me feel so much better!)

I had 22000+ files, but am cleaning things out a lot. Problem is...I keep adding!!! Mine takes forever to load up but once it is up it runs fine. I organize by the site where I got it from so that way it is easy for me to find it (as well as revisit sites I forget about)! Works for me pretty well, except for duplicate meshes...thank goodness for the download organizer though!

Well, our computer is extremely really slow and creaky and old.
Last time i checked, there were 688 downloads.

Surprisingly!

I'm not allowed to download stuff, just 5, but you can't really do that with Custom Content. Can you?

I have now 42.812 files - in 80 folders or so. I've stopped downloading .. almost, and just try to delete all the stuff I don't use. My game takes 45min to load and runs quite ok - but it would probably run alot better with less items in the game.

Far too much... I can take a bath, dry and straighten my hair, dress, and put my makeup on in the time it takes my game to load. But then, if it loaded quickly, I'd never get anything done!

3.54 GB - 10,877 files. I'm sure there a couple duplicates that snuck in... but all the same - Dang that's a lot. :o

Not much at all. Just a few make up, hair, and clothes download. That's really about it. And some hacks. I don't have very much free space on my laptop so I don't want to clutter it up too much.

2.03 GBs.... and I just took a stopwatch to my load time - 11 minutes, 11 seconds. Not a lot compared to some other peoples'... but I'd still rather not sit around and wait 11 minutes just for a game to load!!

308 objects/skins/makeup/hacks which equals 193.2 MB. Doesn't take *too* long to load the game itself, but going back and forth between community lots is soooo annoying.

-58 files which hack/modify my game ( less than 58 mods though, because some mods have multiple files.. like inteen..)
-46 addional majors
-519 foods
-47 careers
The rest I guess are objects, genetics, etc.

Takes ~22 minutes from startup until I can play my first family, but then the game runs smoothly without issue. I should prob do another clean-up soon though..

WHOAH!!! I get freaked out when I have over 20 thousand, and I go do those little "clean-ups" . Currently though I have 17 some odd thousand, only 4.93 gb. I was just saying to myself earlier that i really needed to go through my clutter and my walls/floors and hairs. lol, how many toilet paper things do I really need?? little stuff like that. I guess I am more anal about how much CC I have than I thought!!
