Default Playable NPC Skins~
Has anyone ever like turned every single one of the NPC skins from The Sims 1 in existence into playable skins?

I don't know anyone who's extracted EVERY SINGLE ONE, but OddSim has extracted many of them. You can find the adult female skins he's extracted at https://www.oddsim.com/the_sims_skins/female.html and use the pane on the side to see skins for the others.

I've made some mods for The Sims 1 -- yes, The Sims ONE :-) -- which you can find at http://corylea.com/Sims1ModsByCorylea.html

I know this one site has extracted a bunch of NPCs, but it stopped before it could finish all of MM's NPCs. Its a shame over would have liked having those two wisp cleaners, Molly and Wally, the NPCs from Magic Town, and the Beauty or Beast's enchanted skins as playable skins over who doesn't want a werewolf or a headless man or a floating pair of clothes roaming normal Simsville.

Well, if you'd like to have them, you can extract and convert them yourself! There's lots of information about how to make stuff for The Sims 1, so I'm sure you can figure it out. And as it turns out, making stuff is fun! I've made a ton of things for TS1, and I love seeing things I've made in game.

How am I able to do that?

There are a ton of tutorials out there. Don't you know how to Google stuff? But here, I looked some of it up for you; this'll get you started:

You extract the files using the FarOut program, which you can download here: https://www.fileplanet.com/archive/p-13088/FarOut.

Once you've found the files you want, then you need to convert them. This page will tell you how the files need to be named: https://boogleberry.tripod.com/tutorial.htm, and this page shows you how to edit the internal specifications of the skin files so that they become usable by regular sims: https://mayday555.tripod.com/cmx.html#one.

BeyondSims has links to a huge number of tutorials for the Sims 1 here: https://beyondsims.com/the-sims/the...rials-the-sims/ . Some of the sites they link to aren't there anymore, but some of them are, and most of the ones that no longer exist can be found on the Wayback Machine.

I learned to make stuff by looking for tutorials, looking through the game's files to see how stuff works, and figuring things out. You can, too!

LOL. I know how Google works and I've been on there before to search for 'How to turn NPC into usable' stuff before. I just asked over you prolly have better information than I could possibly find. Hah hah.
Also like Google changes what you search up over the years. Like Google doesn't show that Sims 1 comic with the 7DeadlySims skins anymore.

Oh, here -- here's another tutorial about converting stuff. This one is about how to convert Formal outfits to High Fashion outfits, but the principles are the same: http://www.woobsha.com/diy-renamingskins.html.

Oooo, I see.
Are these links going to help me be able to make workable skins for my Sims? Just like SimEnhancer?

By the by, I tried to make a usable skin with the power of SimEnhancer but I chickened out of the program over it felt too hard for me.
And then there's SimEnhancer's trial being finished and now having to unlock the full version. I don't have the money to pay for SimEnhancer to go full version.
