There's always a reason behind why a person acts the way they do, that's not to say it is excusable but the whole point is to understand one another and forgive and heal. Unfortunately, there are many families around the world with generational trauma. This movie is powerful in its message but not everyone will understand or care about its deep meaning.

A soon-to-be stepmom is snowed in with her fiancé's two children at a remote holiday village. Just as relations begin to thaw between the trio, some strange and frightening events take place.

You have to turn the volume to 11 to understand the whispers, but then some of the sound effects and music are a couple of magnitudes louder than everything else - I mean, really loud - which is extremely obnoxious.

Memories of Murder (aka, Salinui chueok) (2003) Korean with English subs - 8/10
In a small Korean province in 1986, two detectives struggle with the case of multiple young women being found raped and murdered by an unknown culprit.

A number of funny scenes, despite the subject matter. Interesting insight into Korean film culture, and perhaps overall culture, somewhat.

This started interestingly, but got dumber and dumber as it progressed.
