o, the darker the alpha, the more that wont come thru. Like a dark gray would let less transparency than a white color

bonita is right...but when you make the alpha white still there will be small transparency
i dont know the tutorial but i have fixed it

i am providing one texture file here...download it and put it in saved sims folder
if you use it to make the recolors-they will be opaque...you can still make this skirt short or long with this recolor-but no transparency...for transparency use the recolorfile porvided in first post with mesh (if youw ant you can use both)(no conflicts-dont worry)
