It won't rain/snow inside the house as said by many previews. I don't think Maxis would be that dumb to release Seasons when they are still having problems with weather inside houses, lol. Actually, I don't think the question about an option to turn weather off was answered.

Maxis will post a transcript of the chat a day or two after, they always do that.

I was going to go to it, but I'll be hanging out with some friends of mine instead. Ah, oh well, hopefully everyone will update with questions and answers like we did with the pet chats.

The only thing I want to know is more about new items with the game.

Click HERE please, so I can up the sweet sweet page count. Thanks!

I know this probably sounds really stupid, but do you need The Sims 2 on your computer before you can have The Sims 2 Seasons?

Yes, and it's the same with every expansion.

It doesn't sound "stupid" at all, there are many games whose expansions are standalone products. Sims 2 just isn't the case.

Will there be snow days in seasons?
;D

callum91: I read somewhere on the official site's forum that the sunburn only works with maxis skintones...Sims with custom skintones will only have the simptomes (sp?) of heat stroke, but the skins wont change.
erinboberin33: Yes.

Anyone hear anything about new cheats? (Weren't all the previous chats at 3:00 PM PST? This one is thirty minutes early; I wonder if a Maxoid has somewhere they need to be at and need the extra 30 minutes....)

I don't mind if you call me "MSD" or something for short.

(I'm in the chat now, and shall update accordingly, when questions on this thread are answered.)

FYI, Everyone: Sub-hoods will have the same seasons as main hoods.

ETA: There will be a sunlamp for vampire plant people.

New death - Lightning.

People asked - seasons changing will be 'pleasantly procedural'

Pools won't freeze in winter - they're heated.

Seasons ARE like time - independant on each lot.

If you're interested, Children can also fish...

Fish will appear automatically in any pond 'that's big enough'

There's a limit of 8 people on a snowball fight

You would turn off seasons by having all four as summer.

Sims are more likely to get ill in winter...yet another old wives' tale perpetuated.

Sims can be killed by hail.

The neighbourhood screen will have the same season as the last lot you exited.

A new cheat - make fireflies live forever

The penguin will eat your fish and talk to your snowmen, but you can't have him as a pet..

Toddlers will eat snow!
#42 Old 15th Feb 2007 at 10:49 PM
Hehe,toddlers eat snow
#43 Old 15th Feb 2007 at 10:50 PM
You're on too!

Wahey!
#44 Old 15th Feb 2007 at 10:51 PM
Might as well start a new one -

Veg. stores are teh awesomeness.

Weather will show whatever graphics you have - it'll just look bad if you have bad ones.

Sims can't get out without a ladder...still.

You can have sprinklers, for lazy sims.
#45 Old 15th Feb 2007 at 10:53 PM
Gah - I thought we might have a new roof type form the designer walkthrough. But, no, the barn is a neighbourhood decoration.

Evil mascots catching butterflies are really funny.

We have a hot cocoa machine

I know,that sucks,eh?
Ive asked so many questions, none answered... >: (
#47 Old 15th Feb 2007 at 10:56 PM
Plant people can have plant babies, and there'll be no sim summer holidays.

Eta: I know. I asked a couple and gave up..

Your sim can live in a greenhouse.

The cons of the wishing well are hilarious...
#48 Old 15th Feb 2007 at 10:56 PM
Woot!
Theres snow days. ;D

Ok. Thats all i needed to know.

#49 Old 15th Feb 2007 at 10:58 PM
Greenhouse-house,lol!
Did anyone else have problems logging in at 1st?
#50 Old 15th Feb 2007 at 10:59 PM
There are more deaths, apparently...

I wonder if this is aside from freezing, boiling, lightning and hail...

ETA: Yeah, I did. I just kept clicking really fast, and then bingo.

I guess a bunch of people got bored in the first few minutes...

Yay! Greenhouses on the side of houses!
