Has anyone played the ottomas family? I was reading their description thing and it said "with more children on the way" I am like what the heck?! Does that mean twins? So I got into the game and played the family and sure enough......twins. A boy and a girl. What did you guys get and how do you handle them because I dont think I can.?.

I got twin girls, I didn't expect twins. I'm using the maxmotives cheat I'm afraid.
I'm going to boot the teen out when he turns into an adult (not bothering with university) so that will be more room. Granny Ottomas will probably pop her clogs soon too. I've moved them into a three bedroom house which I've had to mod slightly but the twins will need granny's room. So hurry up granny

Is it true the father of the twins is a dog? That's what a couple of people have said, but I haven't played them yet and I'm curious :P

My sim brings the pregnant woman home from work every single freaking day. It's sad that a woman that heavily pregnant has to work every day...

How to fix your neighborhood if you've played this family:
http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/s...hp?topic=7499.0

The "Great One's" (JM Pescado) take on why this is occuring:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is basically an unresolveable problem. What happens is that when the game crude-splices this family into your neighborhood, it doesn't correct the token data. Therefore, while in the template hood, the pregnancy token contained the correct NID, when they're added to your neighborhood, they get new NIDs. As a result, the NID of the father from the old neighborhood now belongs to an arbitrary sim instead.

They're basically irreversibly corrupt, and you should use either the rollback technique or blank templates.

The thread contains possible fixes for the family.

I'm worried that my latest Salvation Army donation will result in homeless people looking like sluts from the 90s.

With this family I have noticed that almost every adult female fancies the dad! I mean why???? He has a horrid porn star moustache fo a start.

I took a female sim to a community lot to try and find a man, i did scope room and guess what... he was the only one she had chemistry with. The poor sim has to wait until I can find her a more suitable partner.

Patricia Wan is a maxis made family.

So my ottomas mum had twins, I don't know about the father I haven't looked yet. But does that mean my games bugged?

I dont know but the mother has blond hair and the father has brown but the babys have black. Weird. Anyway it made it easier for me cuz the toddler is a child now. Just got the twins to worry about for the most part. I love maxis made families.

I've not played this family yet, but now I kind of want to! Neighborhood women as baby daddies... pregnant women who don't get sick leave... way too many family members... this sounds like fun!

I no it is. The babies are toddlers now and they are ugly. I sent sharla or whoever that blond child was to college when she turned a teen. It did the first semester of freshman twice. Weird. I gonna get preggy again.

i just played the ottomas, and my comp restarted after the twins were about to turn into toddlers. i'm don't remember when the last time i saved, but i'm pretty sure it was somewhat recently. anyhow, in my game (i have them in pleasentview) samantha (the mom) had the twins, which were both boys, and it shows that their mother is Brandi Broke! so maybe they will look nice? i named them luke and loki. they both have black hair and gray eyes. they're pretty fun to play though. i have no problem taking care of all the sims though. i like big families, they even adopted a doggy!

I used the Insim and changed the twin-pregnancy to a single baby pregnancy and also fixed the father's ID which is totally fucked up by the way.

Good work birene. The link I posted above shows the extent to which the family can mess up your neighborhood. I'm not planning on playing the family until Maxis patches the mess. If they don't fix it, they are staying in the Simbin. I've worked too hard on my game to flush it and I am not willing to do the work to fix their mistakes!

Tut tut Birene - you swore :p

Meh, I don't play them. They looked annoying.

I just left them in the family bin, they look horrid even with a makeover. And I'd rather not let my game get glitched up, either.
#24 Old 15th Mar 2007 at 8:05 PM
My twins came out really cute.

I did end up giving the whole family (except for the twins) plastic surgery after playing them for awhile. They were just so ugly. And what I don't get is why does every female sim in my game love to check out the dad in that family? I mean, they all swoon over him!

Don't hit me, but I don't think they look that bad. dora's cheeks are a bit...hollowed though. but otherwise i don't think they look that bad. sure they could definatly look better, and they're definatly not models but there not like some of the sims i've seen in the ugly sim pictures thread...
