Default Big Brother: Sims Challenge
If you are familiar with the Big Brother reality tv show, this challenge will suit your fancy. This is the Big Brother: Sims Challenge. All parts of this challenge suit the Sims games.

This is the beta test of this challenge. I have never made a challenge before. This is the first one. NO PRIZES ARE AWARDED FOR COMPLETION. THIS IS ONLY A CHALLENGE.

I. Big Brother: Sims Challenge

8 Adults walk into a house, having never met each other before. The challenge is to win the game by eliminating the other players. Whoever wins, gets their own dream house and a large sum of money.

You will eliminate the other players by making sure they have the lowest amount of friends in the house. Challenges and other things will get in your way of winning the game. Can you overcome it!

II. Recipe for Success:
There are many parts to this challenge to making sure this challenge goes off right. Below is a list:

A) House:
Here are the required things when building the Big Brother House:

1) Lot size: Enough for a house and a big backyard.

2) Rooms:
a) 3 Bedrooms: 2 Single Beds in one room, 3 Single beds each in two other rooms. Low comfort beds.
b) 1 Bathroom: 2 Showers. 2 Toilets. 2 Sinks
c) Living Room: NO TV
d) Kitchen
e) Dining Room: With table big enough for 8 chairs.
f) Punishment/Panic Room: For loser of challenges (See below)
g) Reward Room: For rewards gained through the competition
h) Head of Household: 1 Double Bed (Comfy) 1 Bathroom with bathtub, toilet, sink. Other stuff optional.

3) Backyard: 2 Hot tubs. 1 Good-sized Swimming Pool. Other stuff. Wall high enough where Sims can't see out to the sidewalk.

4) NONE OF THIS CAN BE IN THE HOUSE: TV (except in HOH), PHONE, COMPUTER.

B) Set up stuff:
1) Must have:
a) Lock Front Door and any other way that lets outsiders come in. NO GUESTS ALLOWED!

2) Recommended:
a) Use Aging Cheat
b) Use Automatic Bill Payer Cheat
c) Use Automatic Refridgerator Filler Cheat

C) Sims
1) 8 Sims: 4 Male, 4 Female
2) Give them any astrological sign and personality you choose.
3) No jobs. No work. The sims will be locked in the house and backyard.

D) Challenges:
1) Elimination: The person with the lowest amount of friends in the house gets eliminated each week. Week is seven days. Can be cut down to 3 days if you choose.
2) Veto: If one person wins veto, and their best friend is the lowest person in the house, that person gets saved.
3) HoH Challenge: Winner gets rewarded with the HoH room and other stuff of your choosing.
4) Food Challenge: Loser gets put into the Panic Room for twenty-four hours. Nothing can be given to them. Door must be locked.
5) Reward Challenge: If they succeed, they get something new to the house. NO TV, PHONE, COMPUTER is reward.

E) Challenge games:
1) Hedge mazes - Build a Hedge maze outside. Tournament... 2 people at a time. Winner advances.
2) Stamina challenge - 2 people get into the pool. First one to leave (not just to go to the dive board and back in, but to leave completely) loses.
3) Other challenges are your choice. Be creative.

E) Other stuff:
1) If you have certain EPs, you can liven up everything.

-----------------------------
Winner gets certain amount of money (your choice) and new dream house (your choice).

If you have questions, I will answer them! If you think I left out anything, let me know.

HAVE FUN!!!

#3 Old 24th Nov 2007 at 2:51 PM
i'll try too
#4 Old 26th Nov 2007 at 10:32 AM
So do I actually 'Play' the sims or do I just leave them to thier own devices?
Can we use any skilling items?
Also a 'week' should be 4 days or there wont be enough time to evict the 7 losers, unless of course the 'Aging off' cheat is used.
Can the toilets be the public toilet stalls, as two toilets in one bathroom is pointless (As is 2 ordinary showers) as Sims wont go into an occupied bathroom?
What does a Sim have to do to become the HOH?

First of all, sorry for not replying sooner, I have been away from S2C for a while.

Leave the Sims to do to their own thing.

Yes, you can have skilling things.

You can do the bathroom how it should work... I kinda messed up on that point.

Week can be 4 days, yes.

The Sim has to win a competition to become HOH. See Challenges in Original Post.

Thanks for your reply FuryFanFiction.
I have been brainstorming trying to think of what challenges the BB housemates can take part in. Once I have tried them I'll post some here.
I m looking forward to this challenge, it sounds like fun. I love challenges that leave the sims to their own devices!

this is really confusing, i don't no what to do even though it says in the first post what to do it is confusing....can some one help me out.

What particular part dont you understand? I think the instructions are mostly just a guide and the challenges and things you do to the housemates is up to you and your imagination. Basically you decide how long a BB week is and plan your evictions and challenges and how long one challenge winner is head of house for. Once you have decided on that, set up a house and 8 housemates and let them go about their simmish business and throw a challenge at them at your predetermined time. On eviction day, whoever has socialised the most with the other housemates and has the least friends or the lowest daily or lifetime score gets to "find own place"

o.k, with the eviction how do they "find there own place"

Ohh crud... yes, you would need a computer for that... ummm... have a computer in a single SMALL room... the room needs to be locked, or no door, except for the time that the person has to use it for "find their own place". You need to control that person to have them find their own place.

Either computer... or I believe you can get the newspaper as well. Except for the fact that there is a rule that you can't leave the front door of the house... hmmm.

Thanks for reminding me of that... almost forgot.

its alright i am a reminderer at home :D
#12 Old 17th Dec 2007 at 2:33 AM
ok, I HATE the tv program Big Brother. Whenever a new series starts my groans can be heard nationwide but.... this challenge sounds like fun so i'm going to give it a go.

Is there any limit on the starting funds for the "contestants" ?

Simple answer. Once voted off, you get to go outside to get the paper so you can move out.

I have built a fence around the entire lot and another one around the mailbox, with gates either side for the newspaper deliverer to walk through and one to the lot which is locked for all sims. Once a sim wins the challenge to become HOH or is evicted they are controlled to go to that small enclosure where they pay bills, recycle newspapers and either go through to the Rewards room (HOH) or pick up the latest paper to 'find own place'. the gates are locked behind them each time.

I.nfectious, I wanted all my sims to have different last names so I made 8 seperate sims then had each one added to the household from the N/H screen, that gave me heaps of money, but no I dont think there is a funds requirement, as it really makes no difference to the sims while they are in the house.

I did that challenge in TS1...they kept getting babies all the time XD
I tried to do it a couple of times on TS2 but didn't have the nerve to finish it...
It's quite interesting, though.
Especially when you play just a little bit and spice things up with a bit of romance ^.^

I've set it up so that the majority of my BB sims have conflicting star signs in hope of seeing some fights (yes i'm that evil lol..) but up to now everyone is getting on quite well. I've not played them though, prefering to leave them to it so I don't influence them at all.

I do have a question though... the hedge maze challenge, how do I go about doing that?

Er... I had this in my head a while back... lemme get back to you on that... it has been a while since I thought about it.
#20 Old 19th Dec 2007 at 4:23 AM
don't you just build a hedge and put them in the middle(or something)and make them get out

well thats what i think anyways
#21 Old 19th Dec 2007 at 12:37 PM
you'd have to put a dip in the path or a gate or two locked for all but one sim, so they would have to walk around a bit to get out, only the smartest sim would get through!! maybe add a few doors as only one sim can go through a door at a time, and maybe some stairs they have to go up then down and they would get in each other's way! hey this sounds like fun!!

I don't really watch the show on TV, but this sounds like an interesting challenge. I am going to try it! I was trying to think up some more ideas for the challenges the sims do in the game, and I came up with one, if you have BV you can make them dig for treasure, the first to find the treasure chest wins the challenge. Of course you might just end up with a bunch of stinky sims, with lots of bones/rocks in their inventory.
#25 Old 9th Jan 2008 at 3:25 AM
good one maven, that is a great challenge, you'd have to have 8 holes started then pause the game and have as many 'dig for treasure's lined up for each sim, then press play. Otherwise you'd be having to watch each sim and direct them to dig each time they stop. 8 holes might send their environment scores downward, so the neat freak sims may get a bit nutty. but that's all in the fun of it!
