Default Keely's Art With Bark - Painting
My most recent little painting that I created.

Irish Red & White Setter

Size: 4"X6" canvas panel.
Medium: Acrylics and Gouache on a Canvas Panel

I really love this little piece. I keep
aiming for more of a cleaner look to my
work and I think I am finally getting there.

I love your use of line weight, Keely. The super thick outlines around the major elements, and the much thinner, more delicate lines around the details... and the bit of irregularity to the lines so it still feels very casual. The vertical composition and the white space around (with the visible texture of the canvas) as well as the many layers of foreground and background (and the... foliage... bushes... stuff, sticking out on either side and the ears interrupting the otherwise straight vertical rectangle) makes it quite interesting too. :D

Thank you for your thoughts on this piece HP.
Definitely the response I was going for. This is a new style
I am working on and of course it helps if the work
is pleasing to the eye.

I am really trying to get the most clean look I can get
without it looking too processed. I keep coming back
to teenie tiny pieces of artwork with a lot of space
around them.....I have no idea why.

Keely, I've been a fan ever since I first started reading your lj. I am loving the new style as well. And I love the "doodle" on the cap-one envelope. Too cute.

I love your dog portraits, Keely. D= They're so simple, yet they have so much personality to them. How the devil can you paint that small?!

Pardon me while I have a strange interlude.

Keely, these are absolutely gorgeous! You're far too talented. They'd make a great series of cards or something. So cute!

I love your style of work, especially the ones done on scraps of paper--the first Boston Terrier is especially cute, it looks like it's looking through a window from,as Zaggytiddies said, "Keely doggie world". Have you done any paintings of Boxers?

Oh, Keely! They're all fabulous, I love them! Do you sell many to the public, or mostly commissions?
