Default Theodore Pritchard: Diagon Alley
Thunk.

Teddy waited for a brief moment whilst his driver scrambled to the back to open his door, letting the warm summer day into the backseat of the car. With the alley behind the Leaky Cauldron disused by most muggles, he had no qualms with stepping into sunlight adorned in his sleek black robes, wand tucked into his left pocket in case of emergencies. His father had instructed him to charge all of the purchases to the tabs they kept at each shop they visited in Diagon Alley and to have the packages delivered rather than cart them home.

Perhaps it was the late midday sun, or maybe his morning pumpkin juice had been spiked, but, in a moment of uncommon gratitude, Teddy passed on a spare Galleon to his driver with instructions to treat himself to a bowl of ice cream at Florence Fortescue’s. With a brief nod to Tom, the bartender at the Cauldron, Teddy passed through the brick wall in the wake of an enormous man and two children of about eleven.

First years, he thought, nodding at one or two of his father’s business colleagues who passed by in the narrow street whilst the giant and the young boy continued onto Gringotts. Well known amongst the high-flyers of the wizarding world, Teddy stopped to chat with one or two associates and acquaintances before he was able to reach his first destination, allowing the small boy he had seen earlier by before letting himself into Madam Malkin’s. The bell above the door tinkled to signal his arrival.

“Draco,” Teddy saw his pale relative standing atop a small podium whilst the owner of the shop hemmed his robes. “Your first year of Hogwarts, of course. I thought Lucius was wanting you to go to Durmstrang.” He took a seat across from his cousin whilst the witch continued to work at his robes.

“Mother thought Durmstrang would be too far away,” the boy shrugged, earning a cluck from the seamstress as she repaired her error with a wand flick. “What’re you doing here? I thought you only bought robes at Twilfitt.”

“I do, but I thought I saw your pale complexion through the window. You could do with some sun, cuz,” Teddy said, ignoring the disdainful glare Draco passed his way. “Plus, I’m quite partial to the socks here. Twilfitt, for all his expertise in robe making, refuses to soften his socks. Something about rigid feet providing rigid posture, I’d imagine.”

The younger wizard smirked, stepping away as his robe was finished. “Mother is waiting for me at Whizz Hard Books, so I’ll see you at Hogwarts, I suppose.”

“See you later, cuz,” Teddy charged three pairs of socks to his father’s account whilst his cousin melted into the crowds outside.

ϟ ϟ ϟ

Whilst he reclined in the backseat of his car, school books and equipment safely on its way to his home through Floo and the vehicle speeding through London, shrinking to fit through gaps in traffic which the oblivious muggles wasted their time in, Teddy felt a familiar thrill rush through him. At Hogwarts, he wasn’t just the son of Rufus Pritchard. Within the castle’s walls, he was Teddy Pritchard, completely disassociated with his father, a leader in his own right. The chance to flaunt his power and status would never get old.

Name: Harry Potter
Age: 11
Year: 1st
House: Griffyndor
Blood Status: Half-blood. Mother is a muggle-born witch, father is a pure-blood, descendant of the Peverell family.
Bio: Harry James Potter was born on 31 July, 1980, to James and Lily Potter, members of the first Order of the Phoenix at the height of the First Wizarding War. From birth, he lived in hiding with his parents after Lord Voldemort marked them for death. They lived in the village of Godric's Hollow in a home put under the Fidelius Charm to keep them hidden. As part of the charm, they had planned to make their Secret-Keeper Sirius Black, but acting on his advice, they changed this designation to Peter Pettigrew, as they thought he would be less suspicious. In a terrible turn of fate, it happened that Pettigrew was a spy for Voldemort. He betrayed James and Lily Potter, faked his own death, and framed Sirius Black for everything. The house at Godric's Hollow was destroyed in the fight, and Rubeus Hagrid rescued Harry from the ruined house. Hagrid was given specific orders to take him to his Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon, but Hagrid was intercepted by Sirius Black, who pleaded for Hagrid to give the baby to him. Hagrid refused, saying that he was under orders from Dumbledore to get Harry to Privet Drive as quickly as possible. Sirius, though reluctant, relented and gave Hagrid his flying motorcycle to take Harry to Privet Drive. Dumbledore left a letter explaining everything to the Dursleys, but they never relayed it to Harry. Instead, Harry spent the next decade of his life in their strict and miserable home.Living with the Dursleys, Harry thought, was the worst thing in the world. As they were a Muggle family, they had no understanding of magic, and even though his aunt and uncle knew about his lineage, they wanted nothing to do with it. The Dursleys considered themselves a "proper" family and hated anything out of the ordinary. They lied to Harry about his parents, claiming they had died in a car wreck and that James was an unemployed drunk. They resented Harry for his magical talents, which were sporadic, but evident. They would not even let Harry say the word "magic." They discouraged any sort of imagination insisting upon "stamping that rubbish out" and screamed at or punished Harry whenever something "unusual" occurred. In his youth, Harry could make strange things happen without understanding why (as no one had bothered to tell him that he was a wizard). For instance, after his aunt Petunia sheared off all his messy hair in fury that it would not lay flat, it grew back to its untouched state by the next morning. Harry was punished, even though he had not done anything on purpose. Another time, Dedalus Diggle bowed to him in a shop, and his Aunt Petunia ferociously interrogated Harry as to how he knew the man before leaving the shop very quickly. The Dursleys spoiled and pampered their son Dudley and paid almost no attention to Harry. All his clothes were ill-fitting hand-me-downs from Dudley, far too large for Harry. He was forced to sleep in the cupboard under the stairs, while his cousin got two bedrooms to himself. They ordered Harry around like a slave. In time, Dudley became a terrible bully of Harry. The Dursleys took Dudley and a friend to spectacular places every year for his birthday, but they never threw Harry a party and gave him horrible presents like a pair of Uncle Vernon's old socks. On Dudley's eleventh birthday, the Dursleys went to Zoo with Dudley's best friend Piers Polkiss. Unfortunately for the Dursleys they had to take Harry with them, as Yvonne, Petunia's best friend, was on holiday at Majorca, and Mrs. Figg broke her leg. At the Zoo, Harry accidentally made the glass into a boa enclosure disappear. Harry attended a normal Muggle school along with Dudley. He did not have any friends, since all the students were afraid of Dudley's gang. It is told that he was good at sports, even though he was the last picked for a team; this was more because no one wanted to admit to Dudley that they liked him, rather than because he was no good. Harry got decent, if not good, grades at school. Harry once accidentally turned his teacher's wig blue, and once somehow found himself on the school kitchen roof, when escaping from Dudley's gang. Harry had no birthday celebrations until the day he turned eleven, which was the same day that he discovered the exceptional reality about his identity. The week of Harry's birthday, hundreds of letters began arriving at the Dursley's home, addressed to him from a place called Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. When the Dursleys saw the first letter was addressed as "cupboard under the stairs," they panicked at the thought of Harry's ill treatment being observed and transferred him to Dudley's second bedroom, which soon appeared on letters as the "smallest bedroom." When Harry's Uncle Vernon first read the letter, he turned a pale, porridge grey out of fear that wizards were trying to contact Harry. Because of this, Vernon Dursley tried to destroy the letters in a futile attempt to keep Harry from his destiny. As the letters kept coming in increasingly larger quantities, the Dursleys saw no alternative but to flee from them. The owls carrying the letters followed them wherever they went. In a final desperate move, the Dursleys relocated themselves to a shack on a rocky island in the edge of the sea. At midnight on Harry's birthday, Rubeus Hagrid appeared in person to find out why Harry had not received his letter. He was infuriated by the Dursleys and explained to Harry, in spite of Vernon's obstinate protests, that he was a wizard, how his parents died, and that he was to be sent to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Personality: Harry Potter was an extremely brave, loyal and selfless person who possessed tremendous strength of character.

The sounds of wooden trunks scraping against stone pavement rattled on as Cadmus, dragging luggages behind him, trudged towards his father's mansion in the English town of Great Hangleton. Glaring at the architectural structure before him, Cadmus wondered why he hadn't been more obstinate in refusing, when his mother had earlier instructed him to stay in England with his father until school year begins. This is a complete waste of time, he thought bitterly, realizing that half an hour had passed since he arrived, and he could feel an unfamiliar anger about to burst from within.

Once inside the manor, Cadmus piled his trunks indiscriminately on the floor, glad to be free of the task of carrying those heavy bulks-- it was in that exact moment, did he remember that his family has a house-elf working in the Great Hangleton Manor as well. Scowling at the remembrance that he had uselessly exhausted himself to carry his belongings, he angrily slammed his fist against the wall, and continued by shoving the stack of luggages, allowing their contents to spill all over the floor. Such behaviour contrasted to his usually calm demeanor, and he regretted his actions when he saw the wreck he had made the reception into. To say that his father would go berserk if he saw this chaotic scene would be an understatement.

Frustrated, Cadmus hollered, "Wheedle!" calling to the house-elf in charge. A loud CRACK! indicated the elf's arrival, and before the small creature could start groveling or proclaim respect to its 'Young Master', Cadmus immediately spoke his order, "Clean up this place before the master comes home. I want to see my belongings in my room," whilst waving a lazy arm to indicate the mess.

The elf immediately obeyed, squeaking out words Cadmus did not care to listen. Not bothering to supervise the house-elf's work, he decided to leave the house. Perhaps he should go to Diagon Alley- there are school supplies to be bought. Heading towards the garage, he mounted on a red chopper and, with it, he rode off.

Hermione Granger
Age 11, year 1, Gryffindor
Muggleborn- Her parents are dentists
Hermione has always been a good student, born into a Muggle family. She loves reading and is immensely bright and a talented young witch. She is known at school as "an insufferable know it all" although she never seems to realize how intimidating her knowledge can be. She is also very insecure and afraid of failing anything, though she tries not to show it.

Hermione paced her room silently, pondering what to do. School didn't start for another week, she had finished reading and re-reading every book in the house, and she was simply bored out of her mind, sitting at home all summer. She fell backwards onto the bed, exasperated and tried unsuccessfully to nap. THWACK! Bolting upright, she glanced quickly around the room. Still empty. The noise had sounded as though it came from outside, and she ran to the window, flinging it open and looking wildly about.
Her eyes met a peculiar sight by the hydrangeas in the front lawn; an owl flapping it's wings violently, then shooting up toward the window. She stepped aside just in time as the owl flew straight into her room, landing on the dresser and expectantly holding out it's leg. And then she noticed the letter, tied securely to the owl's leg. She quickly untied it and held it up. It was addressed to her and was from a strange place, Hogwarts. She had never heard of such a place before and it intrigued her greatly. She carefully opened the envelope and out fell a small handwritten letter.
Dear Hermione Granger,
You have been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. A representative of the Hogwarts School will be at your door at precisely 7:46 pm tonight.
Thank you,
Minerva McGonagall

It was all too much to take in at once; her head was spinning and she needed to sit down. "Witchcraft? Hogwarts? Owls?" She plopped back down onto the bed as the owl flew back out the window. She decided she would simply have to wait. If the representative showed up, she just might believe them.

Bio
Helena was born into the wizarding Ravenclaw family, to Rowena Ravenclaw, no earlier than 982 somewhere in the British Isles.

At the age of eleven, Helena became part of one of the first generations of students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in Scotland, which, at that time, was still being run by its original Founders. She was Sorted into Ravenclaw House and was educated in the magical arts by her mother during the seven years that followed.

Around this time, she met the Baron of Slytherin house. He fell in love with her, though she always rejected his advances. Helena never found true love as she never found a man that lived up to her standards.

Envious of her mother's cleverness and importance, Helena stole her diadem and left Scotland, believing the item could help her become wise enough to accomplish her goals. Ashamed of her daughter's betrayal, Rowena Ravenclaw never admitted her daughter's treachery, hiding the fact that the diadem was no longer in her possession.

Having fallen fatally ill and on her deathbed, Rowena desperately asked the Bloody Baron, who was deeply in love with Helena, to find her daughter and bring her back to her so that she could see her one last time. Helena tried to hide from him, but the Baron managed to track her down to a forest in Albania. When she heard the Baron blundering through the forest toward her, she hid the diadem inside a hollow tree. Helena refused to come with the Baron and rejected his affections and he stabbed her in a fit of rage. After seeing what he had done, remorseful of his action, he stabbed himself to death.

Name: Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore
Age: 109
Year: N/A
House: Griffyndor
Blood Status: Half-blood
Bio: Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore was born to Kendra and Percival Dumbledore in the summer of 1881, in the mainly wizarding village of Mould-on-the-Wold. The early years of Dumbledore's life were marked by tragedy when his younger sister, Ariana Dumbledore, was attacked by a group of Muggle boys who saw her performing magic and were frightened by what they saw. Ariana was left mentally and emotionally scarred by the event and her magical powers were left severely altered and would manifest themselves on rare occasions usually in random or destructive ways. Albus' father, Percival Dumbledore, was heartbroken and set out in search of his own brand of justice. He located the Muggle boys and attacked them, as they had his daughter. It is unknown exactly what he did to them, but it might be assumed he probably used the Cruciatus Curse on them as he was sentenced to life in Azkaban for the crime, and would later die there. To escape the accusing eyes of the wizarding world, Kendra Dumbledore moved her young family to the village of Godric's Hollow which, like Mould-on-the-Wold, was a mainly wizarding village. Kendra rebuffed all her neighbours, with the eventual exception of Bathilda Bagshot, preferring to be left alone: and Albus learned not to mention his sister or father in public. Dumbledore began attending Hogwarts in the autumn of 1892 and was Sorted into Gryffindor house. Dumbledore's first year was met with much whispering about his father's crime. Many of Albus' fellow students mistakenly believed that, like father like son, Albus too hated Muggles. Some praised his father's actions hoping to gain his trust, but they would not find favour with the young Dumbledore this way. Though later in his young life, under the influence of his love for Gellert Grindelwald, some anti-Muggle prejudice did develop, he soon saw the error of his intent. He befriended a young Elphias Doge on his first day at Hogwarts; Dog was suffering from Dragon pox at the time, which discouraged most from approaching him. Dumbledore, however, demonstrated his uncommon kindness and willingness to look past the surface and find inner beauty in people. Dumbledore also became very well-connected during his Hogwarts years, making notable friends such as Nicolas Flamel, Bathilda Bagshot, and Griselda Marchbanks, who marked him in his N.E.W.T.s for Charms and Transfiguration and later recalled that he did things with a wand that she had never seen before. He also had several of his papers published during his studies. During his school years, Dumbledore won the Barnabus Finkley Prize for Exceptional Spell-Casting, became the British Youth Representative to the Wizengamot, and received the gold medal for Ground-Breaking Contribution to the International Alchemical Conference in Cairo. In his third year, Dumbledore presumably took Study of Ancient Runes and at least one other subject, which is known not to be Divination. During his fourth year, Dumbledore "accidentally" set the bed-curtains in his dormitory on fire (although he admitted that he had never liked them anyway). Albus returned to Godric's Hollow full of bitter resentment at his situation, feeling trapped and wasted. Fortune finally shone on Dumbledore in the form of Gellert Grindelwald, who was in Godric's Hollow to research the Deathly Hallows. Grindelwald was as talented and brilliant as Albus was. Dumbledore quickly became fascinated by Grindelwald's ideas of wizarding domination, obviously considering Grindelwald an unexpected new chance to show his own brilliance and come out of the local misery. Albus also harboured romantic feelings for the other boy, but regretted his relationship with Grindelwald later in life. However, after two months, Albus' brother Aberforth confronted him over his neglect of Ariana over the past few weeks, telling him he couldn't carry out his plans with Grindelwald, as he would have to take her with him. Grindelwald then used the Cruciatus Curse on him. A violent duel erupted between the three teenage boys. Ariana herself tried to intervene in the fight, but couldn't due to her erratic abilities, and in the ensuing chaos was hit by a stray curse and died. No one knew whose curse it was that killed her, but Grindelwald fled immediately, as he already had a bad record back home, leaving the devastated Albus behind. After Grindelwald's flight, Dumbledore returned to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as Professor of Transfiguration. He was offered the position of Minister for Magic several times, but he turned each chance down since he had learned that his desire for power was his weakness. He also served in recruiting students for the school. Most prominent among the students he recruited was Tom Riddle, who would eventually take on the name Lord Voldemort. However, as Dumbledore was educating young wizards and witches, Gellert Grindelwald was still at large in Europe, building up an army, and had already found one of the Deathly Hallows, the Elder Wand, which he used to terrorise the continent. Dumbledore was afraid to face Grindelwald, not because he thought he couldn't defeat him, but because he was afraid that Grindelwald could reveal to him who had truly killed Ariana. However, by 1945 Dumbledore could no longer turn a blind eye to Grindelwald's deeds, and tracked his old friend down. He duelled Grindelwald in what later became known as the most legendary duel ever fought between wizards. Dumbledore defeated Grindelwald despite his possession of the Elder Wand. Grindelwald was imprisoned in Nurmengard and Dumbledore kept the Elder Wand for himself. Alone of all the professors at Hogwarts, Dumbledore was not charmed by the natural charisma and cunning of Tom Riddle. In their first encounter, Dumbledore became immediately suspicious of his "obvious instincts for cruelty, secrecy and domination" and resolved to keep a close eye on him during his studies at the school. As Dumbledore was not so easily taken in by his charming façade, Riddle came to despise and fear him. In 1943, several Muggle-born students were mysteriously petrified by a beast rumoured to have been released by the Heir of Slytherin from the mythical Chamber of Secrets. Indeed, the final victim of the beast, Myrtle, was actually killed; this act seemed likely to ensure the permanent closure of the school, forcing Riddle to go back to the orphanage. While Dumbledore rightly suspected Riddle was behind the attacks, the aspiring Dark Wizard expertly framed Gryffindor student Rubeus Hagrid as the perpetrator. Riddle was able to pass off Hagrid's tamed Acromantula, Aragog, as the beast attacking students, resulting in Hagrid's expulsion and ensuring that Hogwarts remained open. Dumbledore was never able to uncover hard evidence implicating Riddle, however, he convinced the Headmaster to allow Hagrid to remain at the school as the grounds-keeper-in-training. Dumbledore was appointed Headmaster of Hogwarts in approximately 1956, after Armando Dippet left the post. During this time, he was offered the position of Minister for Magic several times, but he turned down the offer every time, remembering how his quest for power had been his weakness in the past. Shortly after Dumbledore became Headmaster, Tom Riddle, now known exclusively as Lord Voldemort, approached Dumbledore with the same request he had proposed to Armando Dippet before him: to be allowed to return to Hogwarts as a teacher of Defence Against the Dark Arts. Dumbledore, who knew of Voldemort's illicit activities since he left Hogwarts, denied his application. This led to Voldemort cursing the position of Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor, preventing anyone from holding the position for more than a single school year. When Remus Lupin became of age to attend Hogwarts, he was afraid that he would be unable to due to being infected by the werewolf Fenrir Greyback. However, Dumbledore, being fair, believed that as long as special precautions were taken, there was no reason why Remus should be deprived of his education. As such, Dumbledore prepared the Shrieking Shack as a place for Remus' monthly transformation, with the Whomping Willow as guard. This would forever earn Dumbledore Remus' gratitude, as many other headmasters would simply forbid the boy from even setting foot into the school. When Severus Snape found out Remus' secret, Dumbledore forbade him from repeating it to anyone. After Lord Voldemort started his first rise to power in 1970, Dumbledore founded the Order of the Phoenix, a secret organisation of witches and wizards willing to risk their lives to fight Voldemort and his Death Eaters. As the only wizard Voldemort was ever truly afraid of, Dumbledore was the perfect leader of the organisation and was a significant contributor to the fight against Voldemort.
Later on in the war, Dumbledore was approached by another person who also wanted a job at Hogwarts: Sybill Trelawney, who applied to become the new professor of Divination, lessons that Dumbledore disliked and barely considered a part of necessary education for young wizards and witches. Dumbledore gave her a chance because she was the great-great granddaughter of the celebrated Seer Cassandra Trelawney. To his disappointment, when he was interviewing Sybill at the Hog's Head, he came to the conclusion that she was not a real Seer. However, as Dumbledore was about to leave, Trelawney fell into a real trance and made a prophecy about the birth of the one that would have the power to vanquish the Dark Lord, who would be born to those "who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies".[10] This astonished Dumbledore, but as it turned out, the Death Eater Severus Snape had overheard most of the prophecy, but had been caught in the act of spying and ejected from the tavern by Aberforth Dumbledore.[8] Dumbledore hired Trelawney in order to protect her from the Death Eaters. Later, Severus Snape approached Dumbledore, having already told Voldemort about the Prophecy. Snape was shocked by the fact that Voldemort had concluded that the prophecy was about Harry Potter, the son of James Potter, and Snape's own loved childhood friend, Lily Evans. Dumbledore made arrangements to ensure the safety of the three; he advised them to stay hidden in their house in Godric's Hollow, which was protected by a Fidelius Charm. However, their Secret-Keeper (believed by Dumbledore and everyone else to be Sirius Black, but was in truth Peter Pettigrew) betrayed them, resulting in James and Lily's deaths at Voldemort's hands. However, as Voldemort attempted to kill Harry, the curse backfired due to Lily Potter's love for her son and destroyed his body, only keeping a part of his soul alive. Dumbledore, who likely already knew by then that a part of Voldemort's soul had concealed itself within Harry, made sure that Harry would be kept safe with his family, the Dursleys, as his spells ensured that Voldemort could not harm Harry there as long as he could have a home with them. He convinced Snape to help him protect Harry, although Dumbledore secretly planned to allow Voldemort to kill Harry in the end, which would destroy the piece of Voldemort's soul inside Harry. However, he also hoped to mould Harry into such a person who would willingly sacrifice his life for the greater good, allowing him the chance to choose between life and death in the end. Dumbledore gave Snape employment at Hogwarts as the Potions master, and later defended Snape against the Ministry of Magic, who were rounding up and arresting remaining Death Eaters. Dumbledore attended many Death Eater trials, including that of the Lestranges and Barty Crouch, Jr. He was also witness to Igor Karkaroff's testimony which secured his release from Azkaban in return for the names of fellow Death Eaters. Shortly before the Potters' death, Dumbledore had borrowed something from James: his Cloak of Invisibility, something that Dumbledore saw was a part of the Deathly Hallows. Although Dumbledore had long given up his desire to unite the Hallows and become Master of Death, he could not resist the thought of studying the Cloak. But when they were killed, Dumbledore suddenly had two of the Deathly Hallows under his possession. Only the Resurrection Stone was left.
Appearance: Albus Dumbledore was tall and thin, with silver hair and beard (auburn in his youth) so long that they could be tucked into his belt. He had a very long and crooked nose that looked as if it had been broken at least twice. (It is speculated that his brother's punch during their sister's funeral may have played a role in shaping his nose.) He was also said to have long and skilful fingers. His eyes were described to be a brilliant, soul-piercing shade of blue, and usually twinkled with kindness and mischief.
Personality: Considered to be the most powerful wizard of his time, Dumbledore was benevolent and wise, a good wizard in the style of Merlin. He almost constantly gave off an aura of serenity and composure, rarely displaying intense emotions of anger or fear. He spoke in a calm, collected voice, being reasonable and kind, but firm. Yet, despite his benign nature, it is said that Dumbledore was the only wizard Lord Voldemort ever truly feared.
Dumbledore was very eccentric and even slightly effeminate; he was very fond of knitting patterns and frequently wore flamboyant clothing (at one point, he is seen wearing a flowered bonnet). He was also known for his odd displays of whimsicality; he often used humour to make people feel comfortable in his presence. His Chocolate Frog card mentioned that he enjoyed chamber music and ten-pin bowling, and also revealed that he actually had a sweet tooth for treats both magical and non-magical. He frequently set the password for the entrance to the Headmaster's office to the name of one of his favourite sweets.

I had taken the key Bunica had given me and ran into the bank. It was so quiet; it made me want to scream. I held out the key and was led into the back of the building. I got on a small cart and away we went.
The wind rushed past me, almost like a roller coaster. All too soon, it was over. I grabbed my "purse" and shoveled some of my parents' money into it.
An hour and four book related spinal injuries later, I arrived at the wand shop. A small man with silver moon eyes greeted me.
"Ah, you must be Holly. I remember your parents well. Your mother, Anice had an ash wand, 12 inches, flexible with dragon heartstrings. Your father had an oak wand, 13 inches, thick with unicorn tail hair. I hope you find yours soon. As you can see, my last client made a little bit of a mess." He rubbed at a few scorch marks on the counter.
He handed me a black leather box with a red ribbon on top. I opened it and pulled out a wand. I picked it up and waved it back and forth. Almost immediately, silver sparks shot from the tip. The man, Ollivander, sighed with relief. I payed and left. All that was left now was to get my robes.

Default Ingrid Woolf: Diagon Alley
Ingrid followed a small family of witches through the barrier into Diagon Alley, one last look over her shoulder at the ‘keeper’ her mother had assigned. One of the elderly witches who lived nearby had agreed to accompany her to Diagon Alley on the condition that she was allowed to stay in the Leaky Cauldron all day to gossip with some old friends, leaving Ingrid to struggle with mountains of parcels on her own.

She had left her hair in a ponytail, a move which she was thankful for as she stepped into Magical Menagerie to buy some more treats for her familiar, only to see the young girl in front have her long hair pecked at by a new supply of Tap-Dancing Toucans. Her mother had passed on instructions to go directly from store to store to collect her wares, and despite her mother’s tendency to be absent and care little about what she got up to, Ingrid hurried along through the rest of the stores as quickly as she could, teetering with her pile of goods.

Passing by a few of her peers, she exchanged nods before slipping back inside The Leaky Cauldron where her neighbour was sufficiently intoxicated from a beverage which smelled like Firewhiskey and hairy armpits. She left a Galleon beside the half-empty tumbler and struggled into the fireplace with her packages and babysitter, kicking a small pile of Floo Powder in before vanishing in a rush of green flames.

OOC: @minimogut: actually to be a pureblood you have to have several generations of wizarding ancestors on both sides of your family. Having a muggle for even a great grandparent would I think make you only a half blood. But if grandma's a squib, then she's obviously from a wizarding family and would quite understandably have a dislike of other magical folks, not having had the chance to fully experience the world she was born into, and having that same prejudice thrown at her for not having magical talent.

I'll stop being anti-social when the rest of the world quits being idiots!

Default Cadmus Vladmir
The journey from Great Hangleton to London took longer than he'd expected- and by the time Cadmus parked his bike in front of Leaky Cauldron, it was almost two hours after he'd left home.

Without acknowledging anyone inside the pub, he strode towards the small, walled courtyard behind it and, tapping his wand in a sequence to open the barrier, he entered Diagon Alley. Although it had been a while since he'd seen this district during his last visit to England, Cadmus did not feel the need to explore the place again, but merely noted that the place had not changes much, as he hurried to finish his "shopping".

His first destination had been Flourish and Blotts. But when Cadmus found out how heavy the thick fifth-year textbooks were (preparations for O.W.L.s, no doubt), he finally decided to have the books, and the rest of the goods he'd later purchase, sent to Great Hangleton Manor instead, assuming that most of his school supplies would be of a similar bulk anyway.

At Twilfitt and Tatting's, where he planned to purchase his Hogwarts robes, he had refused to have be 'fitted', believing it was a waste of time, and instead handed over the black-and-gold robe he was wearing for his size measurement. A galleon had convinced the shopkeeper to do as he asked, and send both robes to his home later.

His visits to the next shops were even shorter- as Cadmus decided to 'safe time' by simply handing over the School's list to the startled shopkeepers and demanded them to prepare the necessary items to be sent home.

He even tried to do the same thing in Magical Menagerie to purchase his required 'pet'. However, the saleswitch had refused to select an animal for him, forcing Cadmus to spend more time in the store than he'd cared for. It was a pity, really, that he had not been allowed to bring Cerberus as his 'pet' instead, else he would never had to come to this smelly display of animals in the first place; but after 10 minutes of a quick observation of the animals, he finally settled for a particular Great Horned Owl.

"Excellent choice," remarked the witch, forcing the bird into the large, silver cage Cadmus had ordered to go with it, "What's his name?"

"Andros," Cadmus answered quickly, speaking of the first name that came to his mind, as he had not wanted to waste time thinking of suitable names for some male, oversized beast.

"From Andros the Invincible- the Ancient Greek Wizard? A suitable name indeed, for such a grand owl," the witch smiled smugly as she handed the cage to the young Vladmir heir. The latter gave a distasteful glance at her haughty expression, as he paid for the bird.

"Right, but I merely figured that my mother would stop bragging about our great-great-great-and-so-on-great-grandfather if I own an animal with the same name," Cadmus responded flatly, and exited the rowdy shop once the caged bird was safely on his hand. The last thing he saw from the saleswitch was her bewildered expression.

Finishing his shopping, Cadmus returned to the Leaky Cauldron, barely an hour after he had started.

"That was quick," remarked the landlord, as Cadmus passed his pub for the second time. The latter merely responded in a curt nod to indicate that he had heard the remark, before exiting the place to ride home.

Default Avarielle Hamlet; Diagon Alley
Ava and her mother flooed directly from their home to the Leaky Cauldron. Her mum, Cecilia, briskly pulled her along with barely the courteous nod to the innkeeper Tom. She waited patiently while her mum poked at the wall with a rushed air about her. She was wondering exactly what had her mother in such a snit today. "Mummy, wait- What's the matter?" Avarielle spoke gently but not weakly.

"We'll talk about it at home, darling. A public venue such as this is not the place to air your frustrations." Cecilia said crisply, much like her usual stately demeanor but something was off. Something very wrong. Her mothers jet black hair wasn't as elaborately pinned up and more resembled a no-nonsense bun. She seemed more severe and there was a line of worry between her dark blue eyes.

Ava nodded in acceptance with respect to her mother's wishes and allowed herself to be led from shop to shop. They didn't limit themselves to only Diagon Alley's wares, though her mother made sure to keep a close eye on the crowd and a firm hand around her wrist. Their last stop was in Borgin and Burkes where they unluckily stumbled upon her much older cousin. He looked like he was going to just pass by them with barely a glare when her mother spoke.

"Just a moment, Severus. It's been some time since we last saw one another. You look much improved."

"Quite. Although, you haven't changed at all. Still the iron fist of propriety and yet, is that a worry line I spot on your flawless brow?" He looked shocked but it was only an act put on to mock her dear mum.

"Indeed, you give me much cause to concern considering my only child, your niece, will soon be your student."

"Is that all? You needn't worry, I'll treat her as fairly as every other student in my care."

"Your banter has become almost as refined as your pseudo pure blood mask. Do not forget yourself. You still have a way to go before you can ever hope to overcome your sordid past."

"I'll keep that in mind. If you will excuse me, I have more pressing matters to attend to than a mother's petty worries."

"By all means. Remember my offer though Severus. It still stands even though my sister no longer can."

He nodded and swept past them, almost swooping really, like a bat.

"What was that all about, Mother?" Ava asked.

"At home. I'll explain after we pick up a few things." Cecilia smiled and waved politely to Narcissa Malfoy though neither much cared for the other. Manners, those are the kinds of things which much never fall by the wayside.

'Right, at home.' Ava thought petulantly. 'At least I have my own wand now. A real one, not the kiddie training ones.' The rest of the supplies were being shipped to their home but the wand was resting with a pleasant weight in her robe pocket.

"Okay, my little songbird, let's go home."

OOC: I looked back at my planning documents and realized I had used her maternal grandmother's name for her mother on accident. Yeah, I plan a lot of these things and then get it messed up anyhow. I'll make sure to edit any previous posts where I might have confused their names.

Edit: Fixed and I should be able to remember now which is witch.

I walked slowly into the Madam Malkins.
"Hello?" I asked nervously. A witch with a kind face poked her head around a corner.
"I'll be with you in a moment dear," she said cheerily.
I noticed a chair in the corner and sat down. I pulled my wand out of my purse and examined it. Mr. Ollivander had told me it was holly, with a dragon heartstring core, and that it was 12 inches, whippy, and good for offensive attacks and transfiguration. Whatever that meant. It had a dragon twisting down one side, ironic because of my father. Come to think of it, the whole wand was pushing irony and puns into my face. I put the wand away. A pale boy with a pointed face and light blond hair stalked haughtily out of the shop.
"I can help you now, deary."
After I had bought my robes, I looked at the list. I had my books, my robes, my wand and I could use my mother and father's old equipments. All I needed was a pet... a pet? Why did I need a pet? No use crying about it. Cel mai bine spus ceea ce dvs. I walked grudgingly to the pet shop. I saw rats and toads. Hmm, rats could work, and toads were slimy. I saw the giant man from earlier, buying a beautiful snowy owl. Next to the witch behind the counter was stroking a glossy black cat with bright yellow eyes. The giant man left and I stepped forward.
"Oh, hello!" she said cheerfully. "What animal are you looking for?"
"I don't really know..."
"Well, what's your favorite animal?"
"I guess cats." My grandmother hated cats.
"What about shadow here?" she said, holding up the glossy black cat. He was really pretty.
"I'll take him!"
"Just be careful. He won't stop following you."
I exited the store, shadow perched on my shoulder like some giant, furry bird.
"Shadow, huh? Hmm...I think I'll change your name a little bit. How about Umbra?"
Umbra purred; I laughed.
"Good! Let's go introduce you to Bunica!"

OOC: C'mon guys, let's keep this going!!
"Why on earth would you get a cat? I hate cats," Bunica said vehemently.
"I don't need to have a reason to get a cat..." I said quietly.
Umbra purred and wound around my legs; I picked him up and looked Bunica defiantly in the eye.
"I won't be at fault if one of my hounds kills him. That's what they're bred for. Hunting," she said, relenting. "Clean the paper scraps off of your floor, tidy your bed and pack your toothbrush. Make sure you don't talk to any balmies."
She left the room. Shadow jumped onto my bed, watching me closely.
"I know she doesn't like you now, but I'm sure she'll warm up to you, seeing as you'll hardly be here at all. Neither will I, come to think of it."

Default Cadmus Vladmir ; Platform Nine and Three-Quarters
A black Lamborghini stopped in front of the King's Cross Station, its gleaming surface reflecting the early sunrise. A chauffeur stepped out to unload trunks from the baggage before he opened the door connected to the passengers' seat, allowing Cadmus to alight. Dressed in plain, long-sleeved T-shirt, jeans and sneakers, he raised no eyebrows from his surrounding Muggles; especially since those who aren't too busy to take notice of him preferred to ogle at his vehicle instead.

Casually pushing his trunks towards the pillar between Platform Nine and Ten, he pushed through the barrier that magically concealed Platform 9 and 3/4. He had come ahead of the allotted time, and not many students were already on board- but there were, of course, several early-comers as well. Cadmus quickly entered the first empty compartment he came across and changed into his Hogwarts uniform before he could be sighted.

He spent the next moments staring out the window, watching as more and more people streamed in, while hoping that none of them decided to enter his compartment.

((OOC: Is this Okay? I don't want this thread to die as well, but there's not much left to do for the characters since most of them have completed their shopping, so I decided to skip to the Hogwarts Express part))

Default Holly Gardenia: Platform 9 and 3/4
((OOC: I don't see why it wouldn't be okay. A lot of the characters do seem to have finished the shopping, besides the fact that all of our characters seem to be running on different times anyways. BTW, I'm not saying that any of the characters I've mentioned are actually there. Harry can still be shopping. I have the feeling that we're running on different times here.))
Umbra was perched on my shoulder. I was wearing my favorite tee-shirt, a dark purple number, with the words "Never Back Down" printed across the front, and my jeans; over everything else was a long black coat. Using the note my mother had left me, taped to a picture of our family before she died, where Bunica never looked, I had found my way to the pillar, where I crossed the boundary into the Wizarding world.
I waited, awkwardly leaning against a (solid) stone pillar. I saw kids dressed like me, kids in their robes, wizard parents who tried to dress like non-wizarding folk, non-wizard parents who looked normal, etc. A huge family, all with red hair hurried past, and I noticed the black-haired boy from earlier with them. I guess it was time to load my things. I dragged my luggage over to the train.
"Need some help?"
It was two boys from the red-head family, twins from the look of it.
"I think I can handle it, thanks," I said, picked up the suitcase and hauling it onto the train; hauling dog food and dog rahat over the years were definitely in my favor.
I boarded the train, Umbra still clinging to my shoulder, my school robes in a jumbled mess under my shoulder. I walked past compartments nervously, until I saw the black-haired boy; Harry, I think. He was sitting across from the red-head. I knocked and they looked up.
"Can I sit here?" I said, opening the door.

Default Theodore Pritchard: Platform 9 3/4
With his freshly pressed white shirt buttoned up, the top two left undone, and sleeves rolled to his elbows, Teddy would have blended seamlessly within the crowds of Muggles which milled around Kings Cross if it wasn’t for the cage which rested upon his trunk. Blasius, his familiar, dozed with a head tucked neatly beneath his wing, the conversation and shrieking trains not causing any bother. A few heads turned Teddy’s direction as he cursed beneath his breath, pushing past a small family who had opted to walk in one long horizontal chain, the hardwood of his trunk forcing crowds to part.

The barrier between platforms nine and ten as mercifully unobstructed and, without caring in the slightest about what the Muggles might think, Teddy walked straight into and through it, the scarlet steam engine coming into view. Having still arrived relatively early, the platform was largely clear. A few frazzled first years shared tearful goodbyes with their parents, only to enter the train and lean out the window to call tearing mums and dads back over to them.

Teddy’s father had left him with a note saying, Good luck, son. I’ll be in France for Christmas, which would lead to another Christmas party in the Slytherin Common Room come the festive time of year. Aside from the small message, no parting words had been shared between Teddy and his father. Instead, elves had helped him pack, his chauffer had driven him to the station, and he had wheeled his trunk to the train entirely alone.

A porter came up and took Teddy’s trunk away, no doubt on special authority from his father who was of the firm belief that any kind of physical hardship was beyond that of a Pritchard. Instead of aiding the help, Teddy took Blasius with him onto the train, robes safely shrunken down and contained in his pocket. Most compartments were empty; the first few were reserved for any teacher who wished to attend via train with students rather than at the allotted time a few weeks earlier; the first student compartment was inhabited by a surly student who Teddy had never seen before. The fifth compartment was empty, and Teddy changed into his robes quickly, Prefect badge shimmering against the black of his uniform, Blasius still dozing with his head beneath his wing.
