The Brandy Broke Story, part 44. "The Kitchen Table"
Hello, welcome to "The Interesting life of Brandy Broke."

Have you ever wondered about the life of Brandy Broke
and how things started and turned out for her? I have
and decided to write a story about it.

I'm guessing this is Brandy as a little girl with her mommy.
She is a little cutey.

Skip Broke proposes to Brandy in the cocktail bar that
she works at as a waitress.

"Wow!" That is some big nose her husband Skip has.
What a Schnozzzzzzzz. Too bad he does not have a
big wallet to go with it. He really is Broke.
But Brandy loves him and obviously is willing to share
a life of low income living and scrapping for every dollar
kind of life.

This is their first born son Dustin before her turns into
a teenager.

The birth of their second son Beau.
As most of you know or may not know this is
the last picture of Skip, Brandy's husband
before he mysteriously disappears.

This swimming pool with no ladder is the last place that
her husband was ever seen. What happened to him?
Did he drown, runaway with another lover, get abducted
by aliens or what?

Poor Brandy is now all alone in this tiny modest manufactured
home with two sons to raise by herself.

Dustin, her oldest is not a bad kid. But he is a bit of a troubled
teenager and he is now "The man of the house". He
must help his mother with his little brother. Go to school and
get a job. He will have to grow up faster than most teens his age.

This is little Beau, he is only 2 yrs old and he is a handful.
He has to be potty trained, so Brandy can save some money
on diapers.

When Brandy's husband Skip mysteriously disappeared
they had just paid off the tiny two bedroom manufactured
home. The house and land are free and clear. Skip did have
Life Insurance but since he has only disappeared and
Brandy has no evidence that he is
indeed dead she can not collect any of the
Life Insurance Money that she desperately needs
to help raise her children. But everything is paid for.
The accommodations are modest. The the two boys will
have to share a room.

Brandy decided that she would sell her pinball machine. It
was given to her as a birthday gift many years ago but now
she needs the extra space and the money. She only has
$926.00 in the bank.

And now she finds out after a sudden and severe bout of
morning sickness that indeed she is pregnant with her third
child from her now missing husband. Poor Brandy, what
ever will she do?

'It's going to be a struggle', Brandy thought, as she observed her
two sons. Dustin was a wonderful big brother. Beau adored him.
She was thankful that Dustin was as old as he was and could
take care of himself and would be able to help her with the new
baby that was on it's way.
8 users say thanks for this. (Who?)

Default The Brandy Broke Story, part 1 and a half.
Brandy went to go and make breakfast for her and her kids.

She glanced out the window and saw her husband Skip

He was walking towards the window with the newspaper in
his hands. He was as clear as the day is bright. Brandy noticed
that she was holding her breath as she watched her missing husband
approach the window. And then he vanished!

'It was just a day dream.' Brandy told herself and grabbed
a mixing bowl from the cupboard. She could feel hot tears
welling up in her eyes. She did not want the kids to see her crying
again. But she was nearly out of control with the stress of it all.
Everything, and now the pregnancy.

With several deep breaths and lots of blinking back of tears,
Brandy found her strength and pulled herself together.
But not until a few drops of her tears fell into the pancake batter.

'Oh Skip, I can't feed our children on tears and sorrow. I will have
to get a job immediately.' Brandy thought to herself.
She fought back the lump in her throat and made mental plans
to go Job Hunting right after Dustin left for school.

She had a couple of months to work before she began to show her
pregnancy. That should give her some extra cash to get them
through until after the baby was born and then she
could go back to work. Hopefully she could find a job that would
allow her to work late into her pregnancy.

"Hey mom, those pancakes smell great. I'm starved and
Beau is all ready too eat", Dustin said in his usual
cheerful way.

"Ahhhhhhhhhh gooooo goooo gooooooo!" agreed Beau.
After they were all settled at the table.

Brandy decided it was as good of a time as any to tell Dustin that she was going to have another baby.

Dustin was no fool and knew what kind of a financial burden
this would put on their fragile and broken family.

"That's great news mom," he said with tears in his eyes.

"I miss him so much." Brandon sighed.

"If it is a boy can we name him after dad?" Dustin asked.

"That is a great idea, if it is a boy his name will be
Skip Jr. I miss him too, honey," Brandy said forcing her voice
not to crack.

Then they ate in silence, only the baby was heard making
his happy baby noises as he enjoyed squishing his pancakes
and stuffing them into his little chubby baby face.

Dustin heard the school bus arriving and got up to leave.
Brandy got up to give her oldest son a warm hug good-bye
when she suddenly had a queasy stomach and almost
got sick.

When Dustin observed his mother fighting off a bout
of morning sickness he knew for sure that the times
ahead were going to be hard.

"I love you Dustin, everything will be alright," she tried to
reassure her teenage son with a warm hug.
"I know mom, we will get through this together," he told
her and hugged her back.

But Dustin was indeed very worried about the whole situation
of his family. He managed to give his mother a nice smile.
And then headed off to school.

He had to run.

Once he started running he really did not want to stop,
he was very stressed out and worried. This day he would
of rather ran the three miles to school than take the bus.

But it was already there and waiting for him. So he got on anyway.

He was very relieved to see he was the first one on.
It would give him a few minutes to collect his thoughts,
gather his strength and focus.

The End of Part 1. Thank you for reading. smile.

{Authors note: Hi everybody, I had to re shoot most of these pictures, the originals were lost when Ts2.com crashed. Sorry if there are not as many pictures to go with part one. I hope you still enjoyed it and will come back for part 2. I promise it gets better..smile..}

Default The Brandy Broke Story, part 2
"The Interesting Life of Brandy Broke" Part 2

{Authors Note: Hello, I have just now noticed that I am missing some pictures in this chapter and several others.
Part 5 has pictures again. Sorry for the inconvenience, I have no copies but I can reshoot , having the dialogue is a big help.
Thanks for reading.}

After Dustin went to school Brandi washed up the dishes and cleaned the
kitchen while Beau finished eating his squishy pancakes.

Then it was on to potty training. And none too soon either. Brandy really
could not afford to buy diapers anymore. And she certainly did not
want to be stuck with two babies in diapers when her third child was
born.

Beau is very smart and got the hang of it right away. He really did not
like wearing soggy wet diapers.
"Yippy, its big boy pants during the day for Beau, and pull - ups at night."
"Great Job Beau!" shouted Brandy.

Brandy sat Beau down in front of his favorite toy and had a chance to make a few phone calls.

First, she called for a Nanny to come and watch Beau, while she ran some
errands. Then she called the unemployment office, and made a appointment
to go and talk to someone about getting to work right away.
Then she called the "Widow's Relief Organization." They had been a big
help to Brandy and her family over the last few weeks.
They have a special program for women who need help getting clothes
together, so they can rejoin the work force. They even offer free hairstyles and makeovers.

As soon as the Nanny arrived, Brandy called a cab and was on her way to
go and get some clothes for work. The place that she was going was
actually on the upscale side. Way to go, "Widow's Relief Organization!"

Brandy was treated nicely and enjoyed a very large selection to choose
from. She could pick any three outfits she wanted, at no cost to herself.
It was agreed though, that once Brandy was on her feet that she would
donate some money and or time to the "Widow's Relief Organization" so
that someone else could be helped.

After several hours of trying on clothes, Brandy found three perfect
outfits to go to job interviews in and to get her started in the work
force.

As she was checking out, she asked her cashier, "Is this store doing any hiring?"

"Well," said the young woman. "I am new here myself and I'm not
really sure, but that is my boss at the next register."
"Thank you," said Brandy and then she made her way over to the
next cash register.

Come to find out, she knew the manager. He had just graduated High School
last year. He was friends with her son for a little while when they
were both on the basketball team.
"Hello Carl, remember me?" I am Dustin Broke's mother.
"Hey , of course I remember you - you only make the best brownies in town, ever!"
"How is Dustin?" Carl asked her.

"He is doing well in school, he will graduate next year, thank you for asking,"
she said politely."But I was wondering if you were doing any hiring at this
time? You see, I am in need of a job."
"No, I'm not doing any hiring, not at this time; sorry, Mrs. Broke. But my
brother Jared owns a fine jewelry store downtown; I know he is hiring."

"That's great! I know that place. I will go down and fill out a application as
soon as I get my make over," said Brandy.
"I'm sure you won't need to fill out a application, Mrs. Broke, Carl said sincerely.
"I will call my brother now and put in a good word for you. I'm pretty sure
he will hire you, if I give you the O.K.

"Thank you so much," she said. Then suddenly she felt very nauseated
from the baby. She did not dare let on that she was pregnant. She knew
that the jewelry business was very much about image and she did not
believe a pregnant image would be very welcome.

After a long day of shopping and trying to secure a income for her and
her growing family, Brandy came home to find the Nanny washing up the
lunch dishes from Beau.

"You are such a dear Nanny, thank you!"
Brandy and Nanny got along very well.
"I have great news by the way," said Brandy, with a big
smile and a lot of excitement.

"I do love good news," said Nanny as she finished the last of the dishes.
"You will never guess!" Brandy exclaimed with a squeal, Jared's Fine
Jewelry Store is hiring, and I just happen to know his little brother,
who used to play basketball with Dustin on the team at Dustin's
school. His name is Carl; he remembers me and he called his brother
Jared while I was there, and set up a interview with me tomorrow."

"That is good news," Nanny began to say, but found herself talking to no one.

Brandy had to make a mad dash for the bathroom. And, *Barf!* Poor Brandy.

Since Beau was still taking his afternoon
nap, Dustin was still at school and Brandy needed to have a shower,
to pick out a new hairstyle and outfit to go on her interview, Nanny
agreed to stick around a little longer, and give Brandy some time to
play with her new clothes and make-up.

Off to the wardrobe.

Brandy put on a outfit that she already had in her wardrobe.
She wanted to save her three free outfits for interviews and such.
The outfit she picked was still practically brand new and looked great on her.

Now for the hair and make-up.

Brandy gazed at her reflection and tried to think positive. She needed
to say good-bye to her old self, to her old image. She could no longer
afford grief or it's sad look.

The new look was quite a shock.

"Oh my gosh!", she laughed into the mirror, "I look so different!"

But then when she looked at her clothes, she was quickly reminded of
the last time she wore them. It was for her and Skip's last wedding
anniversary. They had gone out to eat at a nice steak house. They even
went dancing they had a wonderful evening. This was making Brandy feel
very sad and she could see it only to clearly in her reflection.

Time to make the sadness go away. So she went to her wardrobe and
got out one of her new outfits to try on.

'Much better', Brandy thought, as she looked in the mirror again.

It was easier now for her to accept her new look.

Maybe I should just get rid of all my old clothes and start fresh', she
thought with a sigh, for the first time being able to think about Skip
without crying.
'But first I have to get that job and make some money', she reminded herself.

{I like Brandi's new look. I think it suites her very well.}

After showing off her new look to Nanny,
Nanny inquired about the pinball machine that she had for sale.

Nanny loves pinball machines and has a hobby of collecting them.
"How much do you want for the machine?" , asked Nanny.
"I'm not sure; how about if you make me a offer?," replied Brandi.

"I will give you $1700.00 for it," said Nanny with a silly grin.

................................"Sold!".................................

Kaching! Thank you Nanny. Brandy really needed the extra money. $$$$$$$

For the first time in well over a month, Brandy felt blessed and thanked
God for her good fortune. Things were starting to look up for Brandy.

The next day after her interview down at Jared's Fine Jewelry Store,
Brandy got the phone call she had been waiting for
: she got the job at Jared's! She would be a sales associate,
she would get a hourly wage and 10% commission of anything she sells.

As soon as Dustin got home from his part time job at the junk yard as a "Grease Monkey," she told him the good news.

. . . "I got the job!"

"I got the job!" she said again as she grabbed him to give a hug.

"Honey, things are looking better for us."

"Mom that is great!" Dustin said, with a mom - squeezed voice, while enjoying seeing his mom so happy.

........... "I love you Mom."

"Sooooooo!" Brandy carried on in her very excited way. "I will be working from 8AM to 4PM, Tuesday through Saturday. I get a minimum wage, paid weekly. So every Friday I get a paycheck,
plus 10%" of anything I sell!
I have made arrangements with Nanny to watch Beau until you get home from work. I really appreciate your help Dustin." Brandy rambled on and on with the details, but it really hit home with Dustin when she said."It would be so much harder to deal with, without you."

"I am so glad you are here my son, I love you." Brandy declared to her son.

"Everything is going to be ok." Brandy said, as she tried to look cool, giving the thumbs up.
It didn't work as well as she hoped, but she did get a great, big smile from her oldest child and now, her "Right Hand Helper".

Brandy did have to tell her boss that she was pregnant and she was right about the image thing. Pregnant look was just not really in when trying to sell Wedding Rings. So it was agreed that Brandy would quit working once she started to show. But Brandy proved within the first week that she could sell jewelry. She was a "wild woman" on fire, so to speak. She was allowed extra time because she constantly searched for the most fashionable clothes she could find to cover her growing belly.
Brandi took advantage of the sales money and made few nice contacts.

She found this awesome dinning room table and four chairs for only $300.00 at a local auction.

And managed a make - over for her kitchen.
Yeah, I know, I'm no designer, but it is better than the Pink Barf of Death... ahhhhhh.
(No offence to people who like the color pink, but I really did not like that kitchen)

Hi everybody, I am out of time. I will have to post the rest tomorrow. Sorry, and thanks for reading.

Default The Brandy Broke story, part 2 continued.

{Authors note: Hi everybody, I have just noticed that I am missing some pictures in several chapters. Thanks to Neffratiri and Cinda Love over at Simmers Garden. These self righteous, religious nuts have deleted my stories and pictures when I left their forum due to a disagreement as they are both crazy,and somehow it has let to many of my pictures being deleted. I can replace them all but it will take some time. Word to the wise back up your pictures or religious nuts will try and destroy you.}

One day, Brandy received a phone call after she got home
from work, that a woman named Jan Tellerman was coming
to see her. You see, Brandy had entered a drawing at her local
building supply store when she remodeled her kitchen. Let's
call the store Lowells. Yeah, that sounds good. Lowells it is.

"Hello Brandy," said Jan Tellerman. I am the representative from
"Lowells Building and Supplies Co. Games and Contest Department.
How are you today?" Jan introduced herself.

"Hello," said Brandy, "It is a pleasure to meet you."
"Please come inside where we can talk."

Once inside , Jan got right down to business.
"So Mrs. Broke ," said Jan.
"Please call me Brandy," said Brandi.
"Ok, Brandi it is. Now Brandy, I am here to let you know,
that you definitely won the "Front Porch Makeover!
We can get started on that first thing in the morning if you like.
You will get a whole new deck , new outdoor furniture,
outdoor lighting, landscaping and a new charcoal grill.

"Oh my gosh! That is so awesome!!"

"Ok, what's the catch?" said Brandy in a very skeptical voice.

"Just one!" said Jan.
"There always is," said Brandy getting a little
disappointed, just waiting for Jan to say, 'You only have to pay
$500.00 to get everything going.'
But much to Brandy's relief that is not what she said.
What she said was...

You have to agree to do a commercial with your family for
a Television Advertizement! Showcasing your new deck and
"Bragging" of course, how great Lowells is.

"Uhmmmm, television? I don't know," Brandy started to back out of
the deal stammering. "I really don't like being on camera," said Brandy,
full of nerves.

"You have nothing to fear Brandy, you and your family will look great on
camera, and you only have to say about 3 lines and you get to use cue
cards." said Jan with great enthusiasm.
"Go for it mom!" said Dustin, "It's a sweet deal! I can tell."

"When you are right, you are right young man!"

"Ok, I'll do it!" declared Brandy. "But I have to work, so I can only
do the commercial stuff on my days off."

"That is not a problem," said Jan. "We can shoot the commercial part of
it at any time. Just let me know when your earliest convenience is
available and we will make all the arrangements.
"Ok, that would be this Sunday or Monday," said Brandi.
"Sounds great. So first, can we get started on your new deck tomorrow
morning?"

"That would be fine," said Brandy as she picked up Beau, who had been
pulling at his mother's skirt for attention. "But my baby and his Nanny
will be here all afternoon."
"Not a problem either, our crew will work
so quickly and efficiently, that your Nanny will hardly notice that they
are here. You will be required to mention that in the television add by
the way," Jan added.

"Let me get this straight - by the time I get home from work tomorrow, the deck should be finished."
"Yes ma'am," confirmed Jan. "It might take them a little longer but no later than 6pm."
"I sure am glad I entered that drawing at Lowells." said Brandy.

"It all seems so strange to me, because I never win anything,"
Brandy confided to Jan.

"Perhaps your luck is changing for the better," encouraged Jan
Tellerman. "The crew will be here at 6AM tomorrow morning to get
started. I will give you a call tomorrow evening and see when we
can come up with a time to shoot the commercial," Jan continued.
"Wonderful, I will look forward to your phone call, have a good night
Jan, thanks for bringing such good news."
"Your Welcome, and you all have a great night. Good bye, now",
said Jan and she left.

The next morning bright and early, five well trained builders came with
tools and supplies, and got to work on Brandy's new front porch.

Tahhhh Daaahhhh!

Dustin, and his on again - off again girlfriend, what's her name, were trying
out the new deck and furniture. (I don't like her much)

I think it turned out nice for a freebee.

After four very successful months of being a Sales Associate
at Jared's Fine Jewelry, the totally expected and unavoidable
thing started to happened to Brandy, as she was on the phone
confirming her work schedule for the coming week.

As soon as she hung up the phone, she started to feel funny,
like bigger - around the middle.

Yup, you guessed it!

The first baby bump had undeniably appeared, and several
long months of ugly maternity clothes lay ahead of her.

But Brandy was extremely happy to know that her unborn child was
growing well inside of her, her last gift from her missing husband Skip.
As many women know who have been pregnant, it is very
easy to swing from
happy to sad and back again, when the hormones of pregnancy are racing
through their bodies.

Its a lot of work, growing a entire new human being in one's own body.
Thinking of work, Brandy knew now that she was definitely showing
her pregnancy, and that she would be required to quit working at
the Jewelry store. Brandy was very upset about this, but was thankful
that she had managed to save up $18,000.00 from working.
Brandy was indeed a very good sales person. She had been promised
a guaranteed maternity leave and would be allowed to come back to
work. She would call work first thing in the morning and let them know
that she would not be back for five months.

.......................Meanwhile, on the new front porch.......................
"Yeah, my mom is going to have another baby; if its a boy were going
to name it after my dad Skip." said Dustin happily.
"That's cool," Angela Pleasant said, in a half interested way. "Hey, you
want to sneak out tonight?"
Dustin gulped hard; he had been in lots of trouble before his dad had
disappeared for the same types of things. He really had caused a lot of
grief in his family. And he had tried hard to behave and help his mom.
His grades were up in school and he was doing well at work.

Angela preyed on his hesitation and teased him into saying yes. They
agreed to meet at 1am; she was going to steal her father's brand new
sports car and they would go for a joy ride.

As Brandy was going through her ups and downs after changing into
maternity clothes, she decided to use the brand new grill and grill up
some ribs. She had been craving them, and she had her mother's recipe.
After she got everything out, she gazed out the window again for a
moment wondering, if just maybe, in a child's dream would she see him
again.

And she did. *goose bumps*
She gasped, as she had not actually thought she would see him again like
she had months before. But there was Skip, walking towards the window
with the newspaper in his hand.

She watched as he seemed to grab a seat somewhere, just to the right
under the window sill.

Skip calmly read the paper.
Brandy found herself holding her breath
again, as she slowly leaned forward over the counter to look out the
window, expecting him to vanish again just as quickly as the last time
she had seen him.

He seemed very intent on reading one section in particular. He kept pointing with his thumb. Just as Brandy's brain started to function again, and ask important questions, like 'What newspaper is that?' 'What is the date on that paper?'
'What section is he reading?'...

....................................... He disappeared!........................................
And Brandy was left alone staring out her window on to the empty street.

Brandy knew that she could not allow herself to freak out. Maybe it was just her imagination playing tricks on her.

But she was determined to keep it together, and keep this strange
haunting to herself. Brandy did not really have any friends, and she was
very much alone when it came to having someone that she could trust to
talk with. Not a good place for a pregnant woman.

As she cooked the ribs, she spent a lot of time thinking.

The ribs turned out great, and Brandy and her sons had a nice meal together.

After dinner, Brandy let Beau out of his high chair to go play.
Beau quickly made his way to most toddlers favorite room - the bathroom.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

"I thought I heard you going in here!" said Brandy, to her thrilled son Beau.

After a nice warm bath, Brandy tucked Beau into his crib.
He was very sleepy and fell right to sleep.

Default The Brandy Broke story, part 2 continued.

Dustin had been in a bad mood all day since Angela had left. It was a
Friday night, so everybody was up late. Dustin just about made his
mother faint when he volunteered to take out the trash.

Dustin was angry and having a conflict within himself. He was trying to
choose to do the right thing. He knew that sneaking out would break
his mother's heart, but yet he wanted to impress Angela. (*gag*)

"Why cant we just be rich?" he complained to no one, as he kicked over
the garbage can.

Just then, a very hot sports car roared up in front of him.

"Need a ride?" said Angela as she revved the engine.

Default The Brandy Broke Story, part 3
"The Life of Brandy Broke" Part 3

Created: 06.18.2011 - Updated: 06.18.2011

..... Welcome back to "The Life of Brandy Broke" Part 3 ....

-- -- Previously -- --
Dustin had agreed to sneak out with Angela, his on again - off again,
trouble - making girlfriend. Angela
pulled up in her dad's brand new sports car. She had just stolen it to
go out that night for a little joy ride with Dustin.
She revved the engine slightly to hear the low pitched roar of the
high octane engine in the quiet night.

"Well, are you coming or not?!" she hissed at him.
Dustin was all
ready to go with Angela in his mind, but in his heart, he also knew
that his mom was having a very hard time, she was so stressed out
lately and he knew that his going for this joy ride would really upset
her.
And his mom would find out about it; she always did. 'Special Mom Magic,' he guessed.
"Come on Stupid!" Angela screeched at him. "Lets go!
..................."No," .....................
Dustin said in a clear, calm voice, much to Angela's surprise.
"You go on without me," Dustin continued, "I have to go to work tomorrow;
my Mom needs my help" And ...

"Suit yourself," she sneered, as she cut him off. "I always thought you
were a loser and I always will!" Angela said hotly at him as she
pealed out, leaving Dusting standing alone in the dark.

Dustin felt like crap as she squealed away. He knew he just lost
his girlfriend for good.

He had a crush on Angela since the 3rd grade.
He thought back as he remembered the day that she actually took notice
of him, and gave him her phone number in the 7th grade.
Then he had a mental break through. He had really been getting into lots
of trouble since he started hanging out with Angela.
With that realization, he turned around without further regret.

Like the garbage behind him, so was his relationship with Angela.
Rubbish to be taken to the dump.It was over between them and he
was cool with that. He would clean up the garbage in a little while.
But right now he just had a strong urge to go and give his mom a big hug.

"Go back to sleep now Beau, it's after 1AM in the morning.
And Mommy wants to take a bath and get out of this tight dress,
it's maternity clothes for me, from here out kiddo," she told her toddler.
She then gave Beau a big kiss on the forehead.

"Maa maa, night night," said Beau as he lay down to go to sleep. (Finally)
"Hey Mom?" Brandy heard Dustin call quietly from the doorway as she
tucked in Beau."Be right there, Sweety." said Brandy in a hushed voice.
And gently waved him out of the door. "K," Dustin whispered back and
went to wait in the living room for her.

Brandi came to the living room to find Dustin very upset.
"What is it Dustin?" she asked him with a small smile. "You know you
can tell me anything." "Mom, Angela and I just broke up for good," said Dustin
with a choke in his voice.

"Oh, Honey, I'm sorry to hear that." She comforted her son.

"Are you sure it's over over, I mean, didn't you two just have a
little fight?" "No Mom, she is gone for good." Dustin reassured her.
Brandi had overheard the whole conversation from the bedroom window.
This window just happened to be open, and has a very nice echo that
carries from the front yard quite clearly. She sat quietly in the dark
with Beau trying to get him to go to sleep when the interesting
conversation drifted through the window. She was very honored by her
son's mature decision.

"So, are you sure honey?" Brandy asked one more time.
"Yeah, I'm over her, were done," said Dusting with a sigh.
"Good," said Brandy, I never liked that little trrrram - ehem,
tart in the first place. 'Moms are sure great for taking
your side', thought Dustin as he hugged his mom and then said
good night.

This is Tasia, Brandi's new best friend. The two woman met at the
grocery store a few weeks ago and quickly became best buds.
A few weeks later.

She threw Brandi a surprise baby shower.

The party was a great success and the day was gorgeous.
Perfect for a outdoor party.

Brandi received everything she needed for the new baby on the way.

The food was great and there was plenty of it.

Brandi also met this guy.

Officer Sexy Pants! *drool* Thank you, ((( "HeatherG2004"))) the
master creator of this gorgeous hunk of sexiness. LOL! She can't be
with us due to the obviously planted by EA Games Error Code 5.
But we sure miss her and her wonderful talent, along with all the other
creators and story writers! Thanks again Heather, for your wonderful
work. Heather is also the real creator of that awsome outfit that Turok
wears. I forgot to post that part when I uploaded him; I was just so
excited to get to upload that I forgot to. I am sorry. Please forgive
me............ Pleeeeeeeeeeaaaassssee!! Begs for forgiveness....
Now on with the story.

"Ahhh, there's my girl," said Tasia as Brandi waddled into the room heavy
with child. Most of the guests had already gone home, and just a few
stragglers left.

"Wow Brandi, you are really sticking out there. You had better
come and sit down before you uhmmm..."
"Don't say Explode," begged Brandy. "That is the last thing
I want to do, is to explode," she said as she lowered herself down
onto the couch, with a sigh that only a very pregnant woman can
make. "Hey look, Jeopardy is on," said Tasia as she over-dramatized
the change of subject.

"Oh, I am so full," Tasia groaned "I think I ate almost half the bowl
of that delicious potato salad you brought over, Brandi.
I love potato salad! And you make it really, really well!"
Tasia bragged her up with complete and total honesty. She really does
love potato salad. Not the store bought kind though. That stuff is nasty,
especially the Wal-mart kind. *Blechhh!*

"Tasia, you really are a good friend. I had no idea that you were
throwing me a surprise baby shower! Thank you so much."
Brandi said sincerely.

"I really did need that new crib. The one Beau is using is about worn
out. That crib first belonged to Dustin and he was tough on it."
"Awwww,"said Tasia. "I am so glad to help out. I think every new baby
should have a baby shower, if it is possible, and get some new
things just for them."

"You really didn't know about the party?" Tasia asked her.
"Nope, not a clue," confirmed Brandi.
"Ha ha," Tasia gently laughed, "I thought for sure Dustin would of given up the surprise, at least accidental.

"Since Dustin has broken up with his girlfriend Angela - she really
was a trouble maker, he has done a lot of changing over the last few
weeks," said Brandy. He is doing better in school, he is back on the
football team and he even got a raise by 50 cents at his part time job
at the junk yard."

"I feel guilty that he has had to grow up so fast, but I really
do need his help right now." Brandi said, with tears in her eyes.

"Brandi, I understand, but may I suggest that you think of it this way,"
Tasia said gently. "He is almost grown anyway and from what you have
told me, he has taken full advantage of "living wild," so to speak.
This is good for him; I think it's a blessing."

"That is true, and a good way to think about it," Brandi agreed.
"Thanks again for the baby shower, Tasia," said Brandi.

Then there was a strange silence between the two women.

"Brandi, are you ok?", asked Tasia. "You seem like you want to talk about
something. You know you can talk to me. I won't give out your
secrets, unless I need to make some quick cash then I will sell out to
the highest bidder," Tasia joked.

"Actually, yes, there is, but it - it - it - it ..."

"It's really weird Tasia, are you sure you want to know?" said Brandi
with great hesitation.
"Of course the weirder the better, I'm good with weird," replied Tasia,
teasing Brandi's fears of sounding bonkers.
"Ok, here goes. I have been seeing my missing but presumed dead
husband! There! I finally said it!" Brandi sighed with relief, at being able
to tell someone.

"That is weird. Are you guys like, dating again or something?"

"Tasia I'm not joking!" Brandi snapped a little at her, at the thought of being considered crazy.
"Ok, ok, so tell me what exactly is happening?" Tasia sobered and
asked her friend.

"I have seen him several times out of my kitchen window. You know the one that looks out over the front yard.
I
was standing there getting dinner ready, and when I looked up, there he
was standing on the sidewalk with a newspaper in his hands, I can see
through him, but he is there!" Brandi said frantically,.
"He walks
towards the house and then sits down in a ghost chair right under the
window and starts to read the paper. I think it is the Sunday paper.
And just as I try to get a closer look at what he is reading, he disappears."

"Hmm.... that is strange, but I have heard of such things. I told you I
was good with weird. I would suggest the next time this happens, write
everything down immediately, go into great detail, and then we will go
from there."
"Ok, but this is really FREAKING me out," sobbed Brandi.

The End of part 3.

Nice story. About the pink wallpaper/paint in the Broke Trailer, I always figured the tacky decor and such were there to give it a low-class sort of look. I like the new paint job, though. I always kind of liked their trailer when I played them.

I laughed when the game referenced Skip's 'pool ladder' incident.

Looking forward to seeing how the Broke family turns out. I do like the makeover you gave Brandi. She's one of the prettier Maxis sims.

Default The Brandy Broke Story, part 3

"You think I'm nuts, don't you?" asked Brandi.

"Just a little," Tasia joked. "But like I said, I'm good with weird and you have been under a lot of stress. I think he must have a message for you," said Tasia. "Something he
wants you to know. But I want you to promise me that you wont worry
about it, ok? We will figure it out together."
"Ok, Tasia, I'm glad that you believe me.

"Well, its getting late, and I am tired. Dustin is going to come back
with the car for the rest of the stuff for the baby."
She gave Tasia a hug goodbye.

And Tasia had to say good bye to the baby.

"Goodbye, little baby, this is Tasia. We are going to be friends when
you get born, little one."

"Hey, your baby just kicked me! I think you have two of them
in there,"
said Tasia with a strange certainty.

"Oh, but I think one will be more than enough," said Brandi. "I'm going to
see the Obstetrician tomorrow. I will get the ultrasound done and
find out if it is a boy or girl. I am hoping for a little girl. But if
it is another boy, we will name him after his dad Skip; Dustin suggested
it."
"I think that is a wonderful idea," said Tasia. " Have you picked out any girl names yet?"
"Nope, not at all. But I will start thinking about it tonight," said Brandi.
"Bye Tasia."

"Turok, today Brandi told me that she has been seeing the ghost
of her husband."
"I thought he was only missing," said Turok with concern. He liked Brandi
She was a good person in his opinion, and he had compassion
towards the hard times she was going through.
"Well, if she is seeing his ghost, then maybe he really is dead,"
continued Tasia.

"Hmm, she has been under a lot of stress lately," said Turok.
"Do you think she is just stressed out and seeing things?"
"No, I sense something too when I am over at there place.
I can't tell if it is dangerous or not." said Tasia.
"You know all restless spirits are bad and usually evil," says Turok.
"Yes, I know , but can we try to help her out by asking a blessing
for her, the children and the property?"
"Sure, said Turok. "It has been on my mind to talk to you about
that anyway."
"Great,I will ask her about it tomorrow," Tasia said, as she stuffed more
potato salad into her mouth. She really did love potato salad.

"Want to go Skinny Dipping?" Tasia asked her handsome
boyfriend with a big smile.

"Last one in is a rotten egg!"

"You lose!"

Tasia easily out swam Turok. Tasia loves the water, and maybe she is part fish.

"If you catch me before I get to the stairs, I will give you a kiss!" Tasia teased him.

Tasia and Turok are not officially a couple; technically they
are just roommates. Obviously, they like each other and Tasia
is a total tease. Poor Turok.

To the winner - that would be me!

The next day over at Brandi's house,
Brandi and Dustin were relaxing
and watching TV together, as Beau was down for a nap. Brandi was tired -
she had been up early to go to her prenatal appointment, and have her
long awaited ultrasound done. Much to her disappointment, she did not get
the results for the sex of her baby. She would have to wait to talk to
the doctor tomorrow at 2pm.
Suddenly, Brandi's stomach growled so loudly that Dustin heard it.

"Did you hear that?", she asked Dustin.
"How could I not, Mom?" Dustin laughed. "I think the whole
neighborhood heard your stomach growl."
"Yeah, I suppose I had better get lunch going before you go
to work," said Brandi, as she leaned forward to stand up from the couch.

"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh no, you sit there Mommy O! I'm going to
make lunch today," Dustin told her.

Brandi got up anyway to go ahead and make lunch, but Dustin got up to
and insisted to his mom that he would make lunch and that she should
rest. "I will even make your favorite - Peanut Butter Pancakes." he teased.
"Hmmmm, I think I will have to let you just go ahead and make those
pancakes," agreed Brandi.

"Mom, I will take care of you, don't worry about anything. Ok?" said Dustin.
"We will take care of each other," corrected Brandi.

"How is my little baby brother or sister doing in there?"

"Hi baby," he waved to his unborn sibling.
"I have another prenatal appointment tomorrow at 2pm. I wish you
could go with me, you would get to see him or her on
the ultrasound," said Brandi.

"Then we could be sure of a name," Brandi giggled, as she watched
her son play peek-a-boo with her big belly

"I would Mom, you know that, but my boss needs me there early. He is
going to teach me how to use the big giant magnet, and when I am 17 in a
few months, I can run it and load cars, to get squished into little
bitty metal boxes. I cant wait!" he said excitedly.
"I know babe, that actually sounds like fun. One day I will have
to come over with Beau and let him see where his big brother works."

Brandi sat back down to watch the rest of the program on TV, while
Dustin made his famous Peanut Butter Pancakes.
He always used crunchy peanut butter; mmmmm!
And Mrs. Butterie's maple syrup.

Brandi started thinking about what she would wear to her prenatal
appointment, tomorrow. She sure hated her ugly old maternity clothes.
She could buy more, but she knew that she had to be very careful with
the money that she had saved up. She did have one outfit that she had
gotten with her Widow's Relief Fund money to buy a outfit that was loose
around the middle and stylish, maybe she would wear that one...
Brandi also mulled over the amount of money currently in the bank and
the bills to be payed as she half halfheartedly listened to her son cooking
pancakes and the show on TV.

... Back in the kitchen ...
Dustin got a strange feeling as he went to put the ingredients
for the peanut butter pancakes on the counter.
Suddenly, he dropped the tray with a loud bang on the counter,
out of pure shock!.

'This is not happening!' Dustin tried to calm himself.

But indeed it was happening, and all Dustin could do was to stand and watch.

Dustin could not believe his eyes as he watched the ghostly appearance
of his dad Skip walking towards the window in broad daylight.
Dustin's hands grew icy cold, as he brought them to his mouth to
warm them with his breath.

Skip sat down just under the window sill and seemed to wait for
Dustin to get a closer look at what he was reading.

Skip pointed with his thumb to a particular article, and just as Dustin
was getting a good close look, his dad disappeared.

Dustin stared out the window for a moment, as he decided not
to tell his mom about this. Dustin then continued to make the
pancakes, a few tear drops from his eyes did fall and land
in the pancake batter. He bitterly remembered how much he really
missed his dad, and wished he were here with them now.

Later that afternoon, Brandi got a phone call.
"Hello, this is Brandi."
"Hi, Mrs.Broke? This is Stephanie, the receptionist from Dr.Brooks office,"
she said in a distinct, stuffy nosed voice.
"Hi Stephanie, please call me Brandi.
"Very well, how are you today Brandi?" Stephanie asked politely.

"I am doing well," said Brandi. "Thank you."
"Brandi, the reason I am calling is because you have a doctor's
appointment tomorrow at 2pm. Well, Dr. Brooks has a surgery during that time.
Can I reschedule you for 4pm?"
"Sure, that will be fine. I look forward to seeing the ultrasound
pictures", said Brandi cheerfully.
"Can you tell me now if it is a boy or girl?" Brandy questioned with hope.
"No, sorry," "Stephanie laughed, "we don't know that. But your doctor
does. So, can I put you down for 4pm?

"Sure, 4pm will be fine."
"Oh, and Mrs. Broke", said the receptionist, as she hesitated.
"Please, call me Brandi."
"Sorry about that, Brandi, I have a note here from your doctor that
you must be accompanied for this appointment."

"Is there anything wrong?" said Brandi, concerned.
"As far as I know, no. I am only the receptionist. I just make the
appointments," said Stephanie, in her stuffy - nosed voice, but in a
very nice manner. "It just says here that you must be accompanied."

"Accompanied? You mean like I have to bring someone
with me or the doctor wont see me?"
"Yes, ma'am, that is what that means."
"You have to be kidding me."
"No ma'am, but it is doctor's orders; I don't know any more than that."

"Ok, I will see if I can find someone to go with me on such short notice."
"Just give us a call if you need to reschedule." said Stephanie.

"I will do that. Goodbye," said Brandi.
"Have a nice day," said Stephanie, in her stuffy - nose voice.

There was only one person that Brandi could think of to call.
"Hi Tasia, how are you today?"

"Hey Brandi- girl, how you feeling today?"

"I am feeling well, thank you. The baby is kicking like crazy."

"I'm glad to hear that. So what's up?"

"I was just wondering, if you're not busy tomorrow around 4pm, if you
could go with me to my prenatal appointment up at the hospital?
The receptionist just called and told me and told me that I need
to be "accompanied" to this appointment."

"Uhhhhggggggh! Brandi, I really hate doctor offices, and even worse hospitals. Ick"

"Too many dead people."

"Brandi, please don't cry, it's OK. Alright,
I will go with you to your doctor''s appointment.
What are friends for, right?"

"Take a deep breath, there we go."

"I'm sorry to ask you Tasia, it's just (sniffle, sob) I don't have anyone
else to go with me."
"No problem, I will drive us. What time do you want me to
pick you up?" Tasia asked.
"How about 3:15 pm. Is that to early?"
"No that is fine. See you tomorrow, Brandy at 3:15.
"Thanks so much, Tasia."
"Your welcome. Bye for now."

'What are friends for?' thought Tasia, as she hung up the phone.

{Warning: This part of the story contains some very
sensitive issues, please read with caution and understand that
the story is not over yet}

The next afternoon, after lunch of course, Brandi had Beau busy playing
with his blocks. Then, she tried on her new maternity dress . It fit
her perfectly. Brandi felt pretty and decided to check the mail.

There had been none yesterday. 'No news is good news,' Brandi thought,
before she opened the mailbox.

Today was not a good -news day.
Brandi held in her hand a big,
fat letter from the IRS. 'Oh no, what could it be?' she began to worry.

"Hello, this is Brandi Broke. I have a letter here that says I owe $4000.00 in back taxes."
"Mrs. Broke," said the irritated, sounding man on the
other end, "may I please have your Social Security number
and the account number on the letter?"

The man took her information and then transferred her to the correct office.''

"This is Mr. Pinch," said another irritated voice. "Mrs.Broke I have
looked at your case and you are delinquent on your taxes. Your husband
had filed a extension, but that extension has run out."

"If you would have contacted me sooner, I would have been able to
get you another extension, but that time is passed.

"What should I do?" asked Brandi, with lump in her throat, fearing the worst.

Default The Brandy Broke Story, Part 4. Brandy finds out about her strange pregnancy.

"Mrs. Broke," said the tired and irritated voice, with a deep sigh.
"The IRS has already seized the back taxes from your bank
account as of yesterday."
"But you can't do that!" Brandy sobbed. "That is all the
money I have. I have two children and I am seven and a half
months pregnant, and my husband is missing. I can't even work
until the baby is born. Please don't take my money!"

"Mrs. Broke, the government has already taken your money; there is nothing
I can do. If people would just pay there taxes on time we would not
have to go and take the money by force."
"But there must be something you can do," Brandi pleaded.
"No, Mrs. Broke, there is nothing I can do. At least your taxes are all paid
now, and you will not have to go to jail. Have a nice day." (*click*)

Brandy just stood there motionless and in a daze with the phone to her
ear, not believing the conversation she had just had. She only moved
when the phone started beeping in her ear and the recording came on:
"If you'd like to make a call please hang up and dial again."
Next, Brandy called her bank to see how much money was in the
account. Maybe they had made a mistake and had not yet taken the
money out. Then she would run down there and yank it all
out of the bank before the IRS could get their grubby
hands on it.
No such luck for Brandy, who now thanks to the IRS, really was broke.
She had $800.00 in her checking account.
The rest of the afternoon passed in kind of a haze for Brandy. Brandy
changed back into her new maternity dress at about 2:40 pm. Tasia would
be there to pick her up at 3:15 pm. And the Nanny would be arriving
soon.

Brandy sat on the couch and ...

... just cried and cried. Beau was down for his nap, and Dustin
was at work.Being alone, she could just let it out. All the stress
of everything suddenly came gushing out. Hot tears stung her
eyes with the force of her emotional outburst.

"Why God ?"
"Do you hate me or something?" she screamed at the Lord.

"I just can't take anymore, Lord. I am at my end."

"God please help me, help me now!"

"I just don't know what to do," she said out loud, as she sobbed uncontrollably.

Then she heard the Nanny's carpool arrive, and she knew she had
to pull herself together quickly. Nanny gave her a funny look when
she came in the house, but said nothing. Nanny had been around a
long time; she was long in the tooth, you might say.
She knew that sometimes a pregnant woman just needed to cry. It could be
very stressful sharing your body with another human being.

Soon Tasia arrived at 3:15 and they drove to the hospital. The traffic
was terrible due to construction, so it was a good thing that they left
as early as they did. They made it to the appointment fifteen minutes early.
Tasia was nearly always cheerful and helped Brandy to forget her troubles
for a little while.

She did not tell Tasia about what the IRS had done to her; she was
to embarrassed about the whole thing, anyway.
But Brandy had decided not to worry about the money too much.
If push came to shove, she would just bury her pride and go on welfare
for a few months. Brandy, of course, would rather work and make her
own money and support herself. But this was a emergency. She had a
good job waiting for her in the Jewelry business, once she was through
her pregnancy and maternity leave. The rude man on the phone was
right, at least now the back taxes were paid, and she would not have
to worry about being sent to jail for tax evasion. (That was a very good thing.)

"Do you have an appointment?" the young woman said, in a snively,
shaken kind of voice, as if she had just been crying.
You
see, earlier that week, something really bad had happened at the
hospital. This young woman, a nurses assistant, a candy striper by the
name of Gretchen Smith, had witnessed something very disturbing.

One hour earlier that day.
The hospital Administrator and the Chief of Staff, had called
Gretchen Smith into the office to ask her to relive that terrible
day again.

"It was horrible, just horrible!" Gretchen said, as her mind relived the moment.

"Please Gretchen, just take a deep breath and tell us exactly what happened,"
said the Administrator, Mrs. Vivian Flagg.
"But I have already told all of this to the police."
"We know Gretchen, but our Hospital policy requires that you tell us
what you saw that day, for our own personal records."
"It was just awful," gasped Gretchen. "The most horrible thing
I have ever seen and that is a lot, considering I work in the Emergency room."

"I was out in the parking lot, when I noticed Nurse Linda Crews running
out into the lobby," said Gretchen, beginning her account of that day.

"She was running like someone was chasing her!"

"And she was covered in blood!"

"I was there in the parking lot talking to Nina, as I watched her run
towards us. It happened so fast! Yet is seems like it took forever
for her to get there to us."

Linda worked up in the Intensive Care Unit. "Nurse Linda, she was
a friend of my mother and I for years. I knew her well," said Gretchen.

"She was my friend!," sobbed Gretchen.

"When she came out in the parking lot all covered in blood, I asked
her, "What is wrong Linda? What happened!!," Gretchen began to shake
and cry, as she remembered the details of that day.

"But Linda could not seem to catch her breath, or get any words out!"

"She just gave me this terrified look!"

"I could tell that she wanted to tell me something, but she could not talk!"

"She tried to take her own pulse."

"And then she just - she just ..."

"... collapsed, right there in the parking lot!"

"And died right there on the spot!"

"Next thing I know, the police and medics were everywhere!
But it was too late for Nurse Crews," she sobbed despairingly.

"Thank you Gretchen. We won't ask you to do that again, unless we have
to. Would you like to go home for the day?" Dr.Brooks, Chief of
Staff, asked her. "No, nobody is home right now and I don't want
to be alone. I actually feel safer here. They have not even caught who
ever did that to poor Nurse Linda yet. Who could do such a horrible thing
to such a nice person?" "We have the police and our own hospital
Private Detectives on the case, and security has been tripled. If you
want to stay for your shift, that is ok, but go and take a break and get
yourself together," Dr.Brooks told her gently.

"Yes, I will," she gave a sad look, as she left the office of Dr.Brooks.

"Well, this is absolutely horrible. The coroner is doing an autopsy right
now. So far, it looks as if she died from fright, as she has no
noticeable blows or cuts that were fatal. And worst of all, we have no idea
who has done this or why. If the press gets a hold of this, it could be very
bad for the reputation of the hospital."

"The reputation of the hospital is the least of our worries, Vivian.
We have a killer on the loose, possibly in the hospital."
"This has been a difficult week for all of us, " said Vivian. "Yes",
agreed Dr.Brooks ,he noticed the time. He had his next appointment
to get to in twenty minutes. He concluded his meeting with the
Administrator, Vivian Flagg then got back to his appointments.

"Yes, I see you're on for Dr.Brooks at 4pm," Gretchen said, with a forced
smile. "You can go ahead into the waiting room. I will let him know you
are here and Dr.Brooks nurse will call you in a moment," said Gretchen,
with puffy eyes and a slightly runny nose.

Default The Brandy Broke Story, Part 4. Brandy finds out about her strange pregnancy.

Brandy and Tasia were in the waiting room for only about five minutes before they were called into his office.

"Hello Brandy, nice to see you again," Dr.Brooks greeted her warmly.
Brandy then introduced him to Tasia. "Ladies please have a seat," said Dr. Brooks.

"How have you been feeling Brandy?," Dr.Brooks asked her,
he sat down at his desk.

"I think I am about to go crazy with curiosity about my ultrasound results."
"I second that," said Tasia.

"Well Brandy, the reason I asked you to bring someone with you is
because I have some well, surprising news. Some of it you will no
doubt find very shocking."

"Let me get your file out here in front of me."

"Brandy, the ultrasound shows that you are pregnant with twins."

"Twins?"

"Me? Really? Twins!"

"Brandy that is awesome," said Tasia.

"So why all the hubbub to tell me I'm pregnant with twins?"

"Brandy there is more; there has been a complication with one
of the babies, and unfortunately, one has not survived."

"I am very sorry Brandy. The other baby however, according to your ultrasound, is healthy and doing very well."

"What?! What do you mean a "complication", and one has not survived?!"

"You mean I have a ... a dead baby inside of me?," Brandy said,
horrified at the thought.

"Noooooooooooooooo!!"

"You're lying!"

"Brandy, I wish I was, but I am not."

"Oh Brandy, I am so sorry," said Tasia, trying to comfort

"Sorry!" Brandy screamed at her best friend. "Why are you sorry?!"

"You're not the one walking around with a dead baby inside of you!"

"Brandy, this is going to be difficult. But you do have a healthy
baby that you have to focus on for the next five weeks."

"The other baby, the one that is living - is it a boy or a girl?,"
Brandy asked, clearly trying to grasp at the straws of sanity.
"It is a little boy Brandy," Dr.Brooks said, calmly and carefully.

"I will name him Skip," she said, with tears in her eyes.

"That's a very good name, Brandy. I like Skip."

"Skip! Skip! Where are you?," she sobbed. "Why did you leave me
like this?," she whimpered.

"You promised to never leave meeeeeeeeee!"

"And now I'm all aloooonnnnnnne!!," she bitterly wept.

Brandy was getting hysterical and needed to stand up.

Dr. Brooks came from around his desk to comfort and reassure his fragile
patient, that yes, things were bad, but not impossible to get through.
And that she was not alone and she would get through this with a healthy
baby.

Tasia got up and made her way around the desk, to give her dear friend
some very much needed moral support. It was all very clear to Tasia why
the Dr. had insisted that Brandy bring someone with her. She was glad
that she was there for her friend.

"I will be right here with you all the way, Brandy," Tasia promised her.

Dr. Brooks had been dreading this appointment all day. His heart did
ache for Brandy. He knew Brandy had been through a lot
lately emotionally with her husband missing. He was very concerned for her.
He was also glad and relieved to see that Brandy had a good friend. She would
need all the moral support she could get over the next five weeks or so.

He asked Brandy and Tasia to please sit back down after things calmed
down a bit. He needed to talk to them and let Brandy know what to expect
in the weeks to come. And he wanted Brandy sitting down while going
over the sensitive issue.

"Brandy, I am glad to see that you have a good friend here like Tasia. I
am also here for you 24/7. You have my private phone number; promise
me that you will feel free to call me anytime, day or night. I don't
care what time it is. I am a doctor and I'm used to late night or very early
calls. So please don't hesitate to call me, ok, Brandy?" He waited for a
response from Brandy.
"Yes, Doctor. I will call you if I need you. Thank you."

First, I want to talk about your pregnancy. Your babies are di-amniotic diachronic - that means that they have two separate placentas. This is very
good news for you. Another term would be di-zygotic twins, also commonly referred to as fraternal twins.

{If I have gotten any of the medical terms wrong please forgive me and drop me a mail so I can fix it. Thank you.}

"This is important because that means that your living baby is able to
thrive and do well. And there is little risk to you or your baby during
the next weeks of pregnancy. Of course, I will need to see you every
four days now, to keep you closely monitored. But everything else
concerning your pregnancy so far is very good. Your baby is growing well
and looks good on all the ultrasounds."

"Brandy do you have any questions for me?" Dr. Brooks asked her.
"Yes doctor. What kind of complications could happen for my last five
weeks of pregnancy?" "We will be closely monitoring your placentas
and making sure that they are not breaking down. That is really the
biggest concern for right now. If that happens, a C-section will be performed immediately, and you will become a mother a little sooner. Of course,
then the baby would be in NICU until your baby is stable, breathing on
its own, gaining weight and able to hold his body temperature."

Brandy and Tasia both had the same looks on there faces, and Dr. Brooks
knew what they were thinking. He did not want to be abrasive, but it was
his job as her doctor to tell her everything. So he went ahead and
explained further. "Now Brandy, the non - living twin will of course be
still born. We have grief counselors that will be talking with you this
week, to help you through the time to come. They are the ones along
with myself and my staff, that will help you make arrangements that you
are comfortable with.
Then there seemed to be a disturbing silence in the room for a very long moment.

So Tasia broke the ice. "Doctor, when is her next appointment?," asked Tasia.
"I want to see her back here tomorrow. We want to do some blood tests
and another ultrasound. Ok Brandy?," said Dr. Brooks, as he made eye
contact with Brandy. "Yes, Doctor," Brandy said, in sort of a daze.
"I will bring her, doctor," Tasia volunteered, not wanting her friend to be alone. "Now
Brandy you have a healthy son growing inside of you," Dr. Brooks
reminded her. "He is going to need you to be positive and focus on him. Can you do that for him?" Brandy shook her head yes, as she felt tears in her eyes again. "Alright then, I have 11am available tomorrow morning, just before lunch. Is that good for you Brandy?"
"Yes, that will be fine." Brandy answered quickly.

Dr. Brooks got up and walked over to Brandy, as she was getting ready to
leave. They had been there for over a hour, and Brandy was very tired
and ready to go home. It had been an exhausting day.
"Brandy, don't hesitate to call me if you need me. Don't forget."
"I won't, doctor."

"Are you ready to go home?," asked Tasia. Of course you know
I'm spending the night. Or you could stay at my place if you'd like."

"Thank you, Tasia." "What are friends for?" Tasia whispered to her.

Hey Artimis , thank you very much. I just noticed your post here, sorry, I don't know how I missed it. I have always liked Brandy. For the first two years that I played Ts2 I never played her. LOL so poor Brandy was always walking around pregnant.

I love JRR Tollkin and his story Lord of the Rings. My favorite is the cartoon of
The Hobbit the songs in it were so neat. Down, down to Goblin Town. lol

I see that you write also, I will go and check out your story and leave a comment. I love to read and write.

Thanks again for reading and leaving a comment.
Simcerely,
Tasia.

Hi there, thanks so much. I also like spin offs of Maxis/EA families. I hope you do come back for the updates. I have 31 parts already written. lol and the story is not yet finished. But almost. I think two or three more parts should finish it.
I am enjoying your story also.
Thanks again,
Tasia.

I laughed when the game referenced Skip's 'pool ladder' incident.

Looking forward to seeing how the Broke family turns out. I do like the makeover you gave Brandi. She's one of the prettier Maxis sims.

Hi Plumboob, lol I like your name. I thought I already wrote you back??? I am looking at my story in thread form. I am a bit confused, oh well.

But thank you, I appreciate the feedback. I agree with you about the wall paper and I am glad that you like the make over. I do favor earth tones. smile.
I think Brandy is pretty also. She has the biggest eyes. I hope you come back and read more, they do have a crazy adventure coming up. smile.

Hi there Zen, thank you for reading. I am glad that you liked it.
I really debated for a long time whether or not I was going to give
Brandy a make-over. I kinda wanted to play her with her
"original look", but I decided that she needed one because she looked
depressed. She really is a pretty Maxis made sim though.
I am going to post part 5 tonight. I hope you come and read it and like
it as well. smile. Thank you so much for leaving a comment.

Tasia.

Default The Brandy Broke Story, Part 5. Brandy's Nightmare.
Created: 07.03.2011 - Updated: 07.03.2011

Welcome to part 5 of "The Brandy Broke Story."

{Warning: sensitive issues, please read with caution. }

When Tasia brought Brandy home from her "accompanied' doctor's
appointment, Brandy was physically exhausted and very mixed up
about how she should feel. Should she be happy for the healthy, living twin
that she carried inside of her? Or should be sad and freaked out about the
dead twin that lies next to her living baby, still in her womb? What affect would
this condition have on the living twin in the long run? Was her live baby scared of the dead one? Brandy was haunted by her own thoughts and imagination.
These were understandably some very scary thoughts for poor Brandy or any other woman who has ever been in this same situation.

Brandy sat down on the couch, stretched her tired lower back and
chatted with Tasia about nothing in particular as she tried to calm her frazzled nerves.
Given that she was pregnant and now a high risk pregnancy, no doctor
would give Brandy anything to calm her nerves, except maybe some lavender
bath salts for a nice warm (not hot) bath. Brandy would have to deal
with this situation for many weeks. She took a deep breath and sighed. She
thought, 'there was no getting around this'.

"I will just have to get through it, that is the only way out,"
she told Tasia, she laid her exhausted, pregnant body down on the couch.
"You and baby are going to be just fine," said Tasia, she tried to
tip - toe around her words. This was totally not her style.

But Tasia had no idea how to deal with this; up until now she had
never even heard of this type of condition, nor had she ever imagined
such a horrible thing existed.
"Tasia, you don't have to worry about what you say to me, I
know that whatever you say you are not trying to be mean or insensitive.
Unless I burst into tears, you are cool. And even if I do burst into tears,
just cry with me so I will not be alone."
"No problem, Brandy Girl. I'm here for ya," Tasia said, comforting her exhausted friend.
She gave Brandy a soft smile.
"I will break out the waterproof mascara," said Tasia. "So we both have proper coverage
for long, gorgeous lashes while crying."
The two woman giggled at the joke.

Tasia was about to suggest to Brandy that she should go to bed and get
some rest, but Brandy had already laid her head down and was fast asleep.
Tasia decided to let her sleep for a little while. She would go and take a
shower and then wake her to get off the couch and get into her own bed.

But Brandy was not resting very well. As she slept on the couch, she
started to have some very disturbing nightmares.
She was angry with herself for not being able to keep both babies alive,
and it was coming through in her dreams.

Her terrible nightmare began like this.

She dreamed that she cooked her newborn baby on the BBQ grill.

And since she was having company over for dinner, she decided
to cook up Beau also.

"This is delicious," said a voice at the table that she did not know.
"You really know how to cook those baby-back ribs. What is your
secret Brandy?"
"What secret?" Brandy asked, confused in her nightmare.
"We're having pancakes."
"Oh don't be so modest, this is the best barbecued baby we have ever had."

"Maa maa! night - night!"

And then she seen Skip again in her dreams. He was there reading the newspaper. "You asshole!," she tried to scream at him, but it only came out in a whisper and he could not hear her.

Brandy tried with all of her might to see what Skip was pointing at with
his thumb in the newspaper. Just when she was beginning to get a good
look, she noticed that the language had changed to Chinese. Brandy did
not read or speak Chinese.

As nightmares are, she jumped around a lot in her dream.
Next she dreamed she was talking to that irritated tax man on the phone,
and she told him that he could not get her money because she had already spent it all!
Haaaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaaaa!," she laughed at him.
"And you will never find me!" she snarled at the tax man in her dream and then
hung up on him. (*click*) She actually liked that part of the nightmare.

"Brandy you are pregnant with twins," Dr.Brooks told her again in her dream.
"But there has been a complication. One of your babies has turned into a puppy."

"It's a cute puppy, but it has two heads. I can hear them barking now."
Arffff! arfff! arrrffffffff! arrrrrfffffffffffff!

"Haaaa got you! No, they are still balloons." Dr.Brooks teased her
mercilessly in her nightmare.

Brandy tossed and turned on the couch as the nightmares ran rampant
in her head.

"Splash!," she kept hearing people jumping into a pool, as
her terrible dream dragged her deeper in to its depths of madness.

"How is my nice, dead, baby brother today?" "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh,"
Brandy moaned in her sleep.

Eeeeeeeeeeeent ennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnt!

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa whaaaaaaaaaa!
the baby cried, in a echoing kind of way in her dream.

"No news is good news - take back your stupid letters, IRS," Brandy
said and talked in her sleep. Still dreaming her nightmare, she
crammed the letters back into the mail box.
"Return to sender!," she spat.

"Don't worry Mom, I will take care of the baby. I will give it a good home in the graveyard."

"Mom? Mom! Mom! Wake up!", Dustin started shaking her in her dream.

"Mom! Come on, wake up! You're having a bad dream, and you are freaking me out!"

"I just had the most horrible nightmare!", she sobbed, and she leaned her pregnant
body up to a sitting position.
She was so thankful that Dustin woke her up.
"I dreamed I cooked my babies on the BBQ Grill, served them to the
neighbors and they were delicious," she cried in a sad, horrified
small voice.
"It was just a dream Mom," Dustin comforted her.

"But that is really weird. You should probably go to bed and get off of
the couch," he told her, with a worried look on his face. "Tasia is in the
bathroom taking a shower."

Brandy went into her bedroom to lie down on her bed and stop freaking out from her bad dream.

"Hi Mom," said Dustin, he came into the room and sat down on the bed with his mother.

"Mom , Beau's third birthday party is coming up the end of this weekend, are you sure you are up to it?
"Yes, the invitations are all sent out and we have confirmation on most of the guests," Brandy said.
"Dustin, I have to tell you about the doctor's appointment."

Brandy went on to tell Dustin all about the doctor's appointment, the twins and complications that it involved.Dustin
tried not to show how shocked he was, but he understood, and it sure
made sense why his mother had just had such a terrible nightmare. "Mom, I am sorry, but I am here for you. I will help you with whatever I can.", Dustin comforted his mother. "Thank you sweetheart. I have five weeks to get through. Sorry If I am a bit off."
Brandy yawned a tired yawn, since she really had not slept very well on the couch. Dustin gave his mom a warm hug and a kiss good night.
"We
will talk about the party plans tomorrow, honey. Please make sure Tasia
has clean blankets and a nice pillow," Brandy asked him sleepily.
"Ok, Mom, I will. Goodnight."

Brandy changed into her favorite silk pajamas, slid into bed exhausted.
and was soon fast asleep with no nightmares to haunt her sleep.

The week passed by quickly and uneventful. Soon it was late Saturday
afternoon. Beau's third birthday was today, and everybody they knew was
invited to the party. Dustin got his little brother up from his nap.
"Happy Birthday, Beau! How is my little brother? Are you ready for your big party?"
"Beau is three," he said in his cute little boy voice.

Dustin gave Beau something to eat and then put him down to play with his
new mirror, an early birthday present from his one and only big brother.

Beau loved it; it kept him busy while everybody was getting everything ready for the party to start at 5:30pm.

"Mommy!", Beau said excitedly, when Brandy came to get him.
"Hi big boy, are you ready to get dressed for your birthday party?"
"Yes, Mommy, I want cake!" said Beau.

"Well, come on then silly - gilly, lets get you dressed up!"
"It's my birthday," Beau informed his mother and she took him to get him dressed.

"Your such a big boy now," Brandy went on saying as she loved on her son and went to get him dressed.

"I love you sweetheart. I wish your daddy was here to celebrate this
with us."Brandy said with regret in her voice, that her third year old did not
miss.
"Daddy went bye - bye with the Angels," said Beaua while he looked his mother right in the eyes.
"Who told you that?" asked Brandy; she had never said anything like that to Beau.
"Aunty Tasia, she said Daddy went with the Angels in Heaven. Heaven is pretty, Mommy."
"Yes, baby , I suppose it is. She gave Beau a big hug and got him dressed.

None to soon either; the guests were already starting to trickle in.

Hi TotallySimsCrazy, LOL!! No, it is not bad that parts of the nightmare made you laugh. I laugh every time I read it, and I wrote it. LOL. I find it hard to be too serious even when writing a scary part.
I have lots of strange things coming up for Brandy. She is really a pretty good sport about all the weird stuff I do to her and her family.. LOL
So glad to know that you are enjoying it. I hope to get Beau's Birthday Party posted tonight. smile.
