The "Look at This Awesome Thing I Found!" thread
Hi, I thought that since there have been a few of these threads popping up for one CC item pet thread, I thought it might be nice if there was one big thread where we shared our finds (if that's okay with the moderators!).
Crisps&Kerosene recreated the Sims 1 ice cream stand- and it's functional!! I can't wait to try it out in the game! She's also made a working tea set, which I had been needing for a long time! (There was at least one, but it didn't fit all my households decoration-wise, and it was one of those things where the stupid sims never stop using it.) And for your Regency girls and ladies (TF and AF), cupcakeyy just released a whole bunch more - 63, in fact! - of her refitted gowns here. For people who don't go on Plumbbob Keep, Sunni and Fractured Moonlight have been working on a whole bunch of amazing things that can be used in a modern game too, like a winery (grow the grapes, stomp them, let them age, and then you can sell the bottles or drink it yourself!), more garden crops than you can shake a stick at, and chickens that don't add any character files that you can't pull! |
:lovestruc OH MY GOD THANK YOU!!! I wanted these so bad but couldn't find them listed on PlumbbobKeep!

It pays to check the Sun&Moon section regularly. Since I could not log in for unknown reasons, about 6 month ago they were nice enough to open the area to guests, so you don't have to register to download the items.
|
Sims Cave usually has the updates from simblrs every day-and C&K is always there. I grabbed that ice cream stand as soon as I saw it.
You don't have to be a member of Sims Cave to be able to check the updates for Sims 2, 3 or 4-because they all go to the individual postings, thank goodness. (rues that I lost my log in when I changed computers...uggh.) |
I hope this thread never dies 😋

I had a couple of CC that I loved for an old west hood; a butter churn and a clothes washing bucket. Does the churn mentioned here have options to use as food (putting in fridge increases food count) or can be sold in a bowl? There was (from some site I don't remember) a WEAVING bench, where they could make (and pretty quickly) beds, tables, etc. They looked good in a tiki sort of house, and body & cushions could be color-changed.

The butter churn is Rebeka's at Affinity sims.
The woven furniture if by Sun&Moon at PlumbBobkeep. |
I found this today...this adorable shark suit over at shastakiss's place!!

Does this thread include funny websites?
http://www.buzzfeed.com/andyneuensc...LV9P9#.ftG0xNyN Includes Sims 3 as well but I laughed out loud. |
OMG! - krudyard, I laughed so hard I had tears spurting out of my eyes! Thank you!

I, personally, am a perfectionist and stress myself out trying to build a Simlogical school for every neighborhood as I think a town without a school is like wrong. I mean, come on - you send your kids off on a bus everyday. That's fine and dandy but if your terrain map has no roads leading to a school or out of the town, where are the children going?
I found this earlier today and suddenly the game is wonderful again... it's the 3t2 rabbit holes. If you don't know, rabbit holes are pretty much when the Sim goes inside of a building to do an action but you can't see INSIDE the building. Like they walk into a ghost or something. These, of course, are just for deco but at least my children have somewhere to go to and the person who drives the bus isn't a kidnapper. https://curiousb.dreamwidth.org/18543.html |
@krudyard - my grateful thanks. Haven't laughed so much in weeks. I thought #16 was the killer until I got to #23.

Rather old, but I did not know about them before and I love them. Mirrored versions of BG-desks with the chair to the left, by our very own Leefish.
