Outgoing sims will invite themselves in.

Case in point, the countessa vampiress in my game. She's moved in with (and married I think, it's been awhile) to Buzz Grunt and now she won't stop inviting herself into EVERYONE'S home. I play rotationally with a lot of households. She seems so creepy, a random vampire woman coming into homes in the middle of the night when sims are asleep just to... watch tv generally but I did notice she has 10 full outgoing points. I was wondering if it was a creepy vampire thing lol.

The outgoing Sim thing makes sense. Danielle has 9 outgoing points. This is the first time that I had a Sim do that, so I didn't know that was a thing.

"Are you guys three bolts?" Lisa Lari and Nathan Spurlock are currently Juniors in college and every time I am not directing them to do something they are ACR flirting and making out. I turned off ACR woohoo so imagine they would be also woohooing on one of the couches if I still had it on. They are only two bolts, but I wonder sometimes.

"Almost done with college." Most of the Sims in college have graduated and I only have a 4 dorms left. Lisa and Nathan will be Seniors soon, Jamie and his twin will graduate this college rotation, and Peter just moved into a dorm.

It would be funny if the grand vampires did let themselves into houses during the night to feed on sims.

"I hate babies" It took several hours to try to get Hydrus Zanni from baby to toddler. I don't know why they are so difficult to grow up sometimes.

"Haha, they like her." Cleopatra Capp got abducted by aliens and since I have Cyjon's No Alien Sexism mod, female Sims can get pregnant from alien abduction. Since Cleopatra needs logic points for her job and Antony and Scribonia were using the chessboard, I had Cleopatra stargaze. She got abducted again while she was pregnant, so she won't get more pregnant than she already is.

"Oh no, it filled his fear" Being a Fortune Sim, Antony had a fear of Cleopatra being abducted again. Her being abducted filled his fear, and he rolled another fear of her being abducted. He had gone from platinum to low green.

When I found out what The Sims 4 did with this, it made me completely certain I won't be doing TS4 anytime soon. Was creeped out by it

Basically, this Vlad the vampire NPC breaks into Sims houses, hypnotizes them and bites them. Taking a step back, it's goofy and Maxis-like, surely. I guess I just wasn't in the right headspace when I first saw it and thought it was creepy and disturbing. Probably I didn't acount for it being a fictive vampire... but it's certainly more assertive and non-consensual than TS2 vampires as I know them.

"Ugh, why?" Proteus Pantalone had the want to go on a far east vacation. I had sent him to a community lot and he got hit by lightning. I told him to go to the community toilet. He went to the toilet but instead of using it, it exited the public toilet and peed himself. Why didn't he just stay on the toilet and take care of his low bladder. I had the same thing happen when I was still playing Sedona. Andromeda got hit by lightning on a Twikki Island community lot. I told her to go to the toilet. She went to the toilet and closed the door but then exited and peed herself. Why don't Sims just stay and use the toilet instead of exiting and having an accident?

Be reasonable with your Sims, Orilon! I'm not sure I'd act all that rationally if I'd just been struck by lightning! I think I'd be so relieved to still be alive, that everything else would pass me by. Peeing myself would be the least of my concerns.

This is something the code does to them. There's a fix for it but I'm not sure where I got it; and it doesn't help with everything.

I had a mother sim give birth on the way to the bathroom - literally standing next to the commode - and when I got the twin pop-up I was pretty sure her hygiene was a lost cause. But I tried! She gave birth in the bathroom, walked out to where her husband was standing right outside, handed him the first baby, and twirled around to have the other. I told her to put the second baby in the handy bouncy chair and go back to the bathroom, but she insisted on taking it to the crib. So I directed her to the bathroom again; whereupon she got halfway there, dropped the direction, and turned back to carry the baby to the refrigerator for a wholly unnecessary bottle. (I have a breast-feeding mod. Not that I'd have let her do that, either. Also something that's supposed to reduce bottlespamming.) I directed her to stop, but she got caught behind her husband on the same mission, then she dropped another direction to the bathroom and tried to feed the other baby, and then suddenly she needed a shower. By that time I had no sympathy with her. They already had one kid and the husband is the one who stays home with them, so even with twins, she had a perfectly competent grownup there who could keep the kids from starving while she was in the bathroom!

I'm having some health issues and am in a lot of pain so I'm finding I have a lot less patience for stupid things that the coding causes.

"I'm sure she would have something to say about that." Cleopatra Capp had a want for teenage Scribonia to be abducted by aliens. I made Scribonia a Fortune Sim like her father, so I imagine she wouldn't want to be abducted by aliens. Antony still is rolling fears of Cleopatra being abducted even though Vela is a child now, and Cleopatra was last abducted right before Vela was born.

"Its not so bad now that's she's a child" Vela Capp was an odd looking toddler, but her face got better when she became a child.

About a sim sitting down and eating a hamburger on a community lot, before I realized the steam was in fact coming from the plate of hamburgers I had just directed my sim to make and put on the ground close to the table. Not my brightest moment.

"Damnit give me something to work with" Somehow Silvia Capitano didn't meet Valentine Monty as a child, so I had to use the find a mate crystal ball to get him onto Silvia's lot to try to get their romantic relationship going. She wanted to ask someone for a date, so I had her ask him and he accepted. They both kept rolling dance wants, but he kept rejecting her.

"Oh good grief" for whatever reason the Thebe's telescope got hit by lightning and set on fire twice in a row.

"Alexa what the hell are you doing?" Alexa Thebe is still a teen. I saw the ACR booty call in her queue. I was a little confused about who she was booty calling since I haven't been able to find a teen that she has chemistry with. When I hovered over it it said Booty Call William. The only William she knows is William Monty who is now a YA in college and is engaged to Vanessa Pantalone. I didn't see him thankfully and canceled it and turned off booty calls.

(said to the inmate in my new asylum challenge who is constantly cleaning the whole place. She's definitely the top candidate for if I do a second round.)

"Oh Shit" I wish I knew what went wrong, so I know how to avoid it in the future. I'm not sure what happened but something went very wrong when I tried to move Scribonia and Octavius Capp into a house after they graduated from college. They no longer had relations with any other member of their family, were no longer in the family trees and Hoodchecker threw errors for every.single.memory for both of them. I took the old Beginning of Veronaville folder out, and put in a fresh one. I'm starting over.

"Yikes" As I mentioned above because of the issue with Scribonia and Octavius I took out the previous Beginning of Veronaville and put in a new one. I'm currently playing the Albion house trying to get Hector born. I said yikes when the telescope got hit by lightning and set on fire right after Priam went inside to eat breakfast.

"Andrew, this is important. When you were at PaintBoyz last night, did you eat anything that you shouldn't eat?"

Last night I was playing Antonio Monty and his family. Late in the afternoon, after Antonio had returned from work with a promotion to Restaurateur, Berjes Wilsonoff (who helps Antonio look after his children as a sort of live-in nanny) took a taxi downtown to PaintBoyz, with his boyfriend Amar Larrea. After they arrived there, Andrew was the first teen to arrive as a fellow visitor. I'm always glad to see Andrew, and, in the course of the evening I made Andrew controllable several times. (Amongst other things he helped me test how red hands works between different Sims.)

Anyway, late in the night I noticed Andrew sitting at the bar with an empty plate in front of him. The plate had green fumes rising from it, and lots of flies buzzing round it. And I fear it was already in that condition, when Andrew ate the hot dog (if indeed it was him that ate it). Berjes had grilled the hot dogs when he and Amar arrived, because he was hungry. A few other Sims ate hot dogs then, but most was left because most of the Sims who were there then,weren't hungry.

So now of course I'm worried that he might have food poisoning. Normally I'm quite happy to nurse my Sims through illness. I get all their friends and relations to come round and mollycoddle them, to give the sickly Sim the maximum amount of bed rest. (I do the same for pregnant Sims.)

But on this occasion I desperately want Andrew to be OK on Christmas Day. This year I'll be on my own on Christmas Day. It's a year and a half since my mother died. Last year I went to my sister at Christmas, but this year she's in Australia, so I'll be on my own, with only my sister's dog for Real Life company. So my plan is to spend as much time as possible at 19 Chorus Court with Andrew and Julian, Gloria and Garry. So, ridiculous though it might sound, I feel I need Andrew to be healthy this Christmas. I honestly feel emotionally dependent on him.

So, what's the easiest way to check his health, and, if he is ill, to instantly make him better. On this occasion I'm happy to use a cheat, a hack or a SimPE edit. I just want him healthy, happy and with me on Christmas Day.

By the way Andrew seemed absolutely in his element at PaintBoyz yesterday. He certainly was enjoying himself. Julian wasn't there, but Jack Gill was, and there was some kissing and flirting. Robert Briggs was there too, and Andrew is autonomously taking full advantage of the "No Jealousy at All" mod. He and Robert Briggs now have mutual crushes on each other. It's almost as if he knows the old restrictions have been removed, and he can hug and kiss as much as he wants. Both he and Julian are behaving more and more like Romance Sims. Much to Gloria's delight!!

Hopefully he's not sick.

"What the heck, where's the baby?" when I loaded the Thebe house I saw that Andromache's crib was empty. I didn't see her on the ground by her crib so I was confused about where she was. When I went up to the second floor, I saw that Queen was holding her upstairs. I'm not sure what she was doing up there.

"Hm, I'll have to ban him when she gets back" Mariana Capitano wanted to go on a Far East vacation, and while she was on a community lot I saw the charlatan show up. She was on her way to the helicopter to go on a Bamboo Forest tour so I waited until she came back to click on her to summon the visitor controller to ban him from the lot.

He might not even be sick, so the first thing to do is play his lot and find out. You might be worrying for nothing. If he is then do what you usually do. It's still 6 more RL days until Christmas. It should only take you one play session to get him better.

Thanks @Charity ! I think you're right. Andrew seems to be OK. It means an extra visit to 19 Chorus Court, but I'm always happy to spend time there. In my "aging off" game it doesn't cause any problems of families getting out of sync.

So I started playing them just as Andrew and Julian were getting out of bed at 6 a.m. There didn't seem any sign of Andrew being sick. As he finished his breakfast at 9:15 he looked up at me and smiled:


I think this was his way of telling me, "I'm fine! Stop worrying about me."

It's now after 1 p.m. and they're eating lunch - chilli con carne cooked by Andrew. There's still no sign of any illness, so I'm pretty sure Andrew's in the clear. Gloria is at work, but Jack and Ravi have come round. Nobody (except Gloria) has bothered to get dressed. It's Sunday but they seem to have forgotten about church. (Of course it's really me who's forgotten it.) Andrew says, "You should have reminded us!" Maybe there'll be an evening service at St.Simeon's. (I'm sure there'll be a morning service on Christmas Day.)

I know some Simmers don't like their Sims to look at them. but I love it. Especially when they smile at me like that. I feel accepted -- part of their community. Validated even. Any thoughts?

I wouldn't say I feel part of the sims' community, maybe, but I like it when they make contact with me. Even when they're angry with me .

I feel like I'm watching The Office episode unfold in front of my very eyes.
