Having finished his lunch of chilli con carne, Ravi was still sitting at the table thinking. His thought bubble consisted of a big kiss.

Andrew had just finished on the 'phone, so I suggested to him, "You kiss him."

That seemed to suit both of them. They both enjoyed a nice romantic kiss.

Meanwhile across the room Julian, Andrew's husband looked on with a benign smile, as he cleared up the lunch dishes.

Playing with a "No jealousy at all" mod certainly makes the game feel different!! But I think I like it. My Sims certainly do!!

I just love sitting watching this sort of domestic bliss.

"Oh, NO! Not you! Behave yourself! Your husband is here!" said as Amy Klein came to visit Alan Buckingham at his house, shortly after her husband Daniel also came to visit.

While the husband was there, Any and Alan did go into the bedroom but the sheer thought of infidelity while Daniel was present was enough to turn off the mood.
Later on in the evening, Amy came back to finish what they started, without her husband around and she thoroughly enjoyed her stay.

Amy does not want to get discovered and neither does her husband, who is having a torrid affair himself with Anna Newman-Amy has not one clue about that, either.

Arundel has a high concentration of cheating spouses..small towns can be like that.

"Please don't get hit" meaning please don't get hit by lightning. Octavius Ceasar and Scribonia Capp are now teens. I had him ask her on a date downtown to try to get their relationship going. It started raining while they were in the downtown park and lightning hit really close to them while they were flirting.

"They like him in both versions of the hood" Lucio Zanni got abducted by aliens while I was trying to get Francisca to teen to start her relationship with Vincentio. He had gotten abducted by aliens multiple times in the previous version of the hood before something went very wrong.

"I'm going to need to deal with that" For whatever reason, two vacation locals in Twikki Island got to the point of fighting each other. One time the fight interrupted Proteus and Julia Pantalone from learning how to hula dance. I was irritated since its hard to get the locals to hula. After they got home from their vacation I went into SimPE and fixed the relationship so they wouldn't fight each time they are on the same vacation community lot.

I have been running into instances were I tell Sims to make many plates on the pottery wheel after they roll the want to get a bronze pottery badge, but they only do one then leave the wheel to do something else. In this case Mariana Capitano made one plate even though I told her to make many.

"Hmmm, that's weird... I don't like that."

It occurred to me while playing the Greenmans that given PlantSim biology, a PlantSim's outfit is equivalent to us wearing clothes made of hair... or worse, meat. Eww.

"Already?" Andromache Thebe and Hector Albion graduated from college and moved into a house in Beginning of Veronavile. The first night after they went to bed a burglar came.

Alas! 'Twas ever thus!

I had actually been playing for quite a while when I saw my first Sim burglar. But I remember it well: Jack Gill got up in the night to use the toilet and surprised a burglar in the house he shares with Ravi Bertino in Mendoza Lane. He 'phoned for the police, and they were quickly on the scene. Thereafter it degenerated into surrealism -- if not absolute farce. Ravi got out of bed too, and both boys were in a state of undress in which I personally would definitely not want to meet a police officer! They were also both clearly in denial about what was happening. Ravi, a Virgo, started cleaning the shower. Jack started playing with Ravi's radio controlled toy car. So as the policeman was fighting with the burglar, the little car was whizzing about round their feet. The policeman won and the burglar was arrested. And Jack and Ravi received compensation. And -- as happens in Real Life -- after that there was quite a rash of Sims fitting burglar alarms to their homes.

But I well remember what I said to Jack after the police car left:
"What pen did you use to fill out the insurance claim form?"
Because all that was stolen was a §500 TV and a bicycle that originally cost about §90. But somehow they got over §3,000 in compensation!! *


I don't use it because I don't have Seasons, but I'm pretty sure there's a mod that prevents lightning. So, if you only want your Sims to die of old age, it might be worth getting it. I once checked out what mods I would need if I ever got Seasons, but there were so many things I wanted to mod out, it seemed to make more sense not to get the EP in the first place!

NOTE: * Years later I worked out what had really happened: mickyss, the creator of the bicycle had cloned it from an expensive car. He had changed the buying price of the vehicle, but not the final price after depreciation! But frankly I rather prefer my original explanation. Jack Gill, a Romance teen who never goes to school, is a really lovable rogue. Really lovable! Both Andrew and Julian fell for him about a year ago. In fact I can't help loving him myself! But, all the same, he is a rogue! And I can't help feeling that he would be "creative" in filling out the insurance form!

So far I've never had a Sim die from being hit by lightning, just pee themselves from crappy coding. I'll have to hunt for that mod.

"I'll have to check the graveyard." I'm not sure what happened last night after I stopped playing. I had gone into SimPE to check baby Consort's personality points and noticed that in SimPE Calpurnia Ceasar's last name was changed to Zanni. I corrected it in SimPE and checked the Capp graveyard. Her name was still Calpurnia Ceasar.

HINT:
If you want a sim to die of lightning, you can use the Batbox. Direct someone to 'smite" the unsuspecting victim 2 times and you'll have a lightning death.

Once makes them uncomfortable. Twice kills them by draining all their motives.

Only 2 smites will do. (Yes, I have done this before, why do you ask?)

I don't want my Sims to die from lightning. I was talking about the mod AndrewGloria mentioned about stopping lightning, although I haven't found it yet.

"That's a bad idea." Eleanor Anjou (Albany Capp's grandmother, she is currently pregnant with his mom) had a want to go on vacation. When I sent her on a tour, she got a map to the secret lot for Twikki Island. Since getting the voodoo doll requires fixing electrical things, I didn't want to send her to the lot and have her die while pregnant since she has no mechanical points.

I think the mod I was thinking of must be MogHughson's No more Hazardous Weather. Mootilda wrote a Constant Temperature for All Sims mod that stops Sims from overheating or freezing to death. If I ever do install Seasons, I would regard both of these mods as essential! Mootilda also wrote a "No weather on Any Lot" mod, but that might be overdoing it -- even for me!

I've had Mootilda's Constant Temperature mod in for years, I didn't know abut the no hazardous weather mod.

"Can you go jogging while pregnant?" Silvia Monty has always rolled wants to go jogging ever since she was a teen. After she popped when she got home from work she rolled the want to go jogging. I was curious to see if she could, and it looks like she can. I have a feeling she may roll a lot of wants to go jogging while pregnant with Patrizio.

I don't have either of those and I've never had a sim die from overheating/freezing or lightning.

I'm trying out Mootilda's Constrained Temperature mod (the variation that allows getting hot or cold, but not too hot or cold). My main game is Strangetown, set for Double Summer and no winter, so I think this may come in handy.

"Your needs suck, you must be pregnant" Vanessa Pantalone and her husband were on their honeymoon in Twikki Island. I have sound off so I didn't hear baby chimes after they ACR woohooed in their hotel room but her needs were dropping annoyingly quick. After they got back I checked the Pregnancy Scanner and it turns out she was pregnant with twins.

"I swear these guys would starve themselves to death if I didn't keep an eye on them."

"Good news! My sim threw up!"

"Stop touching the baby. Leave the baby alone."
"I SAID QUIT TOUCHING THE BABY"

It sounds like you need a mod like Twojeffs no baby toddler swarming.

"I meant for you to go to the edge dummy." I gave up on the Beginning of Veronaville and switched to a minor combined version using the separated beginning families. Bruno Ruggbyrne had the want to go on a far east vacation. He had the want to fish, so I tried to have him fish in the Jade Villas pond. He complained that it was too far to cast. I meant for him to leave his room and go to the edge.

"Looks like there is going to be more aliens" Damon Featherlight was the second sim to get abducted by aliens in my combination beginning hood. (I used the separated beginning families to put the beginning Broke, Pleasant and Summderdream families into the same hood for a mini beginning hood.)

"Kid, you're gonna have to wait. Just a little bit. Cause it took f**kin long enough to get to this point."
It took several tries to get a couple of mine to woohoo as they both kept getting up and complaining that they were bored (which I wish they'd realize I'm trying to FIX) and halfway through the process the baby started crying. Little girl I am trying to get you a younger sibling!

"What the heck, when did you get pregnant?" I play with sound off, so I never hear baby chimes. I was playing the Burb house to get Brad to toddler when out of the blue his mom started having morning sickness. I was confused because I thought I had turned on ACR birth control after Brad was born. When I checked the settings it turns out birth control was off and Susan was pregnant again. She eventually gave birth to a little girl named Cathy. With the two alien abductions and Tiffany March's twin, I'm not exactly going to be able to get the partial beginning of Pleasantview right.

"Kid, will you PLEASE grow up to YA so I can get you out of the house?! You're stalling for time, and you can't delay the inevitable! Grow up!"

"Dude, what the f---- is your problem? Ah, that's your problem." Guy wouldn't go to sleep even after I'd told him to, twice. Because a stereo was blasting music in his bedroom. Alright, fair enough.

That is why I try to not put noise making things in Sim bedrooms.

"Finally" Child Bob Newbie had the want to get an A+. However since it was winter, there was several snow days. Once it hit Spring he was finally able to go to school and finally able to get an A+ one day before aging up to teen.

Yeah, usually I have the opposite problem - that they're too good at turning off stereos that aren't in their bedrooms because they're tired, while I (and possibly other sims) still want to listen.
