"Angelina, Shouldn't you be getting on with your mail round? Other people will be waiting for their post."

She does have the excuse that an almost naked Emily Hunt has just flirted with her. That probably was not what she expected when she signed on for work this morning.

[EDIT] It was after 2 p.m. when Angelina finally uplifted the mail. Even then she hung around for about twenty minutes before she continued her round.

"I love my mom, i love my dad" moments after Dad went to work and mommy decided to put the newborn baby in the floor where the infamous puddle is (made by that one mother) in order to play with the console.

Why would they be sleeping on the roof anyway lol?

I meant that as in the phrase not having a roof under your head, in being homeless

I think rooves typically go OVER one's head.

Justpetro 24th Mar 2024 1:32 PM

Just starting playing the New Beginning of Pleasantview.

Mr Pleasant is truly unpleasant.

I didn't say this during a sims game, but during the socialization before our weekly tabletop game one of our friends was talking about his Skyrim game and all the trouble he was having with it. It glitches a lot and apparently game consoles don't let you input cheat codes which just seems wrong to me? Anyway he said: "It's still a good game, though, even as glitchy as it is, and it's old, like, ten years old or so."

I said: "Ten years, huh? That's cute, said the Sims 2 player."

Hehe True its glitchy my game crashed yesterday when i had twin babies move into the williamson couple house because it had been 3 days and they were not aging in their own home … plus i had a wedding and engagement to do the same day!! And it crashed just as all 8 guests arrived… i was so mad lol … But the game still holds up well after 20 years and i have learned tips n tricks around the forums to play it so that it works for me. And im still playing it

"I'm sure your children will be completely happy with what you're doing!"
Bella Goth has been feeling pretty lonely ever since her beloved Mortimer died. She rolled a want to ask someone out on a date, and she has two bolts with Don Lothario, so a relationship has begun to bloom. Surely Cassandra and Alexander will have no hard feelings about their mother dating the man who cheated on and divorced Cassandra, right?

"How the hell do those conflict?"

I installed a slower skilling mod. It broke the Community Time Project (Sims return home immediately). I opened it in SimPE and the only thing it changed was a couple of BCONs.

"It [i]wasn't[/] a conflict????"

Turns out to be a stuck controller or token or something on the home lot, not the slower skilling mod. Using the lot cleaner fixed it.

"I don't believe it!" Something was making my game lag to the point of extreme annoyance, and this was what I said when I figured out which mod was doing it on the very first guess. No 50-50 required. Now my game is back to normal, and I don't have to give up playing my very overpopulated megahood.

"How in god's name is this still a roof-raiser?!"
The illustrious and scandalous life of Carlos Contender came to an end in the middle of a party he was throwing (I specifically timed it that way, since sometimes I have a sick sense of humor.) Apparently the guests still had quite a good time, in spite of the host keeling over in the middle of it.

"Not you being horny for his ghost!"
Since Carlos was a romance sim, when I sent his grave to the cemetery, his widow Jessica ended up swooning over his ghost as he waved goodbye. You know what, I suppose everyone grieves in different ways, but sheesh...

"Whose apartment is this anyways?"

Honestly, I kind of like the neighbours barging in and hanging out for hours. It gives me something to watch while my Sim's away.

Gcgb53191 30th Mar 2024 3:29 PM

I have a mini apartment complex where all three households are related so they're always visiting each other and coming over and its actually kind of cute to watch.

After playing the Sims 2 for eight hours straight: "Oops."

After I posted a screenshot of my hood exploding into Pepto-Bismol after that time, my friend said this: "You cheapskate, go buy the texture DLC for 39,99€."

In my neighbourhood, Mr. Spock rolled a want to get a kitten.

Mercedes Goth wanted to call her auntie Nina, but Nina's "roommate" Don told her Nina was working, unlike someone he knew- like, what did you want her to be doing, she's 12!

"Sims 2, how many more secrets are you keeping from me??? It's been 10 years!!!"

Earlier today I read a post on Reddit saying that if you click on the the painting "The water's flow" the water, actually, FLOWS!!! I've been using this painting for years in my game and I never realized that so, of cource, I had to witness it with my own eyes... The water does flow and it can, also, be turned on like a light!!! This game... I'm in awe...

Peni Griffin 3rd Apr 2024 12:16 AM

I love this picture because I have relatives with similar ones.

They were, I believe, a product of 1930s America and are kitschy, but cool, especially as they approach the century mark. The light is how you get the water to flow (and achieve other similar animation illusions). You light up the picture and the little bulbs behind the painting twinkle in sequence. It's something like animated pixel art on a computer, the kind that's turning pixels on and off rather than actual animation.

I haven't seen a real one in decades, and I bet if I found one I'd have a hell of a time finding bulbs that would make it work properly.

I remembered having a kid with his wants panel completely full of pet wants like that. I went into SimPE and zapped his Animals interest so he wouldn't have his aspiration drain from having that clogged wants panel never fulfilled.

Especially as I found online that moving a pet made in CAS into the household would not satisfy that want, it has to be adopting a pet.

EDIT: Found this from the old What Did You Learn About TS2 thread: "Apparently reducing a Sims interest in animals doesn't stop pet wants from clogging the Sim's want panels. I hate this frigging EP." Must not have the No Pet Obsession mod?
