I upload them on a image server (ex. Imageshack or Tinypic) and put url to the picture between [ IMG] and [ /IMG] (without spaces ofc ^^).

BTW, sorry about the bad quality of pictures. I forgot to made it the best.

Alex65 6th Apr 2009 2:49 PM

My current project is a luxury villa, what will be released to the site maybe in june.... So, here is the first picture what i have taken. (sorry for the red thing in the left upper corner )

Alex65 8th Apr 2009 5:55 PM

I will check that out, QBUILDERZ!

Zinthos 15th Apr 2009 12:28 PM

I'm trying to get this accepted:

But it's been rejected twice.
I'm taking a break from it now though.

pegasaus 16th Apr 2009 3:06 PM

QBUILDERZ-nice homes.I like that green-grey house, that one that has small tower.

Zinthos-First your lot looks simetrical, and second it's boxy. It's nice house, but I don't know what to tell.It needs a little more work, maybe if you add a fireplace(it will change outside view) or if you use different roof. That playground looks like you placed it randomly, why you do not put some fence around it?These are my ideas.

Thefox18 17th Apr 2009 2:51 AM

Asian style of house

you may have seen this in the creator feedback area and its a Asian/modern house with 2 bedrooms(one upstairs & one in the lower floor)and both are big enough for a double sized bed with an ensuite ea.There is also a 3rd bathroom on the entrace floor next to the kitchen and do you think it is good enough for uploading: lower floor: entrace floor: top floor:https://thumbs2.modthesims2.com/img/...08_76f379d4.jpg door out of the lower floor:

melethana 17th Apr 2009 5:12 AM

zinthos - when a lot is rejected, they always give you reasons. If you correct those reasons, you can always re-submit and see if gets accepted. What was wrong, if you don't mind sharing?

A little bit boxy, Zinthos, but good.To Qbuilderz:the couch is still usable

bluetexasbonnie 18th Apr 2009 1:17 PM

Just finished this house. It is one of my all time favorites ... though I tend to think that about every house when I first finish it. That is probably because houses that I no longer like and don't excite me, never get finished.

Pegasus-I really like those flowers on the roof and the garden Inside the house! Can't wait,to see that mansion in the game!
bluetexasbonnie-Great haouse! But,I don't like the windows in the "Lab". .

bluetexasbonnie 18th Apr 2009 11:08 PM

Kuba --
To each his own. Those are some of my favorite windows. Sometimes I think I build elvish/magick-y kind of houses just so I can se those windows.

pegasaus 18th Apr 2009 11:54 PM

kuba11-I'm very happy because you like my lot.You can download it here http://www.modthesims2.com/member.php?u=1687387

bluetexasbonnie-house is beautifull!I really like it,but I don't like when someone create medieval/victorian lot and then put modern things in it.Just like your dance sphere.

bluetexasbonnie 19th Apr 2009 1:37 AM

Pegasaus -- Thank you. I'm sensitive to 'period appropriate' too, and certainly understand your distaste. This one is pure fantasy (crystal ball computers - Medieval? Not.) I did at least color the dance sphere in a 'steam punk' kind of way.

It is hard to give your non-modern sims all the things they need for a healthy, full life and still stay reasonably true to period.

The way I play, sims absolutely need:
-telephone
-bookcase
-fire alarm
-Refrigerator
-Stove or outdoor grill
-sink
-toilet
-shower/bath
-bed
-chairs
-exercise thing (TV or various excersise equipment)

Chess set, burglar alarm & computer are optional - but very desireable.

I'm always on the look out for pre-industrial/rustic objects in these categories.

pegasaus 19th Apr 2009 8:32 AM

Well,I aslo think in that way.
-You need telephone for every lot,medieval/victorian/fantasy/modern/asian/simple homes all need telephone.
-TV I change for a bookcase,if I build fantasy/medieval lots
-Kitchen and bathroom furniture is always required, for all kinds of lots.
-Bed and chairs, the same as telephone, kitchen and bathroom furniture.
-Modern computer I never put in my medieval lots,it's ok if it's 'hidden' in crystal ball.

Hi, I'm new to this group. Anyway I'm practicing making schools with simlogicals' cheats and I made a (really bad to say the least) school..... well most of a school. It's a boarding school but all the rooms aren't set up etc. Anyway I was wandering how can I place an object facing in a different direction? like sideways? Not turning.. gah how do I explain it? ... umm you know how sometimes you download a house or something and some of the furniture is sorta facing diagonally? How can you do that? And please tell me it doesn't involve boolprop cheats because they wont work on my game. Is there a hack that allows you to place them diagonally or is it just a trick or you have to press a few keys in game or something?

conor_wilson 21st Apr 2009 9:43 PM

I'm building a Victorial Mill Mall if that makes sense? IDK. Its Called the Ye olde mall And i'm uploading it as my MTS2 Debut its being moderated at the moment so heres a sneak peek!

You Can Download ItHere!

P.S at the moment I am Going to build a Small Cottage as my second upload and i would like some help on styles. I dont want to do victorian like ye olde mall and I have no idea what else to do. any help would be apreciated.

I don't know anything about making schools with cheats,I will help you with diagonal objects.
First you need any ep,no matter which. And you need to use cheat 'boolprop allow45degreeangleofrotation true' (no quotes),and I think that's the only way to put objects in diagonal position.

Jasiek123 24th Apr 2009 8:43 PM

conor_wilson -> Nice, but screenshots are bad quality. However it's lovely place. But you haven't made more screenshots. I'd like to see house in not just one photo out.

bluetexasbonnie -> Fantastic :lovestruc

My another work from PROJECT: Tuscany. I'm gonna to make some screenshots and upload on mts.

Alex65 27th Apr 2009 12:49 PM

Really nice Jasiuuu! They are perfect for my old styled neighbourhood!

hey there
jasiuuu-> I cant get any better quality than that. I tried downloading one of those game screenshot program thingies. Fraps i think it was called. but it crashed my game and the game wouldn't start at all. i had to re install and put all my data in. Those pics were taken using the print screen button.

I'm using Fraps and it's sometimes crashes my game, but it has never crash game like this. Maybe try another program. There are tons of them in a web, just use a google I can't look at pictures which are made in in-game-camera, because it's the worst quality, I think.

conor_wilson 3rd May 2009 12:46 PM

yeah jasiuuu I tried one called screen shoot it recently and it wouldnt come tothe front whilst i was playing the game so i tried to put he game into windowed mode but that didn't work either. I used the way that the tutorial here told me. (go to properties and put a -w after the file path for the shortcut.) Could anybody suggest any that they have used/are using that work?

Naeniver 9th May 2009 7:51 PM

I use Fraps and it has never crashed this game or any other game.

I actually never go to the library , but I love to see them. Especially the very big and old ones. That's why I created this library.:D
I love the inside more than the outside, it's kinda boring..
I'm not a good builder actually, but I just love to do it.
I have some first shots of it right... here. Only from the inside.:S

Jasiek123 13th May 2009 9:15 PM

Thank you. Oh yeah, that mysterious room is a good idea!

The lot need some changes, and then I'll upload more pic's.
Pity that you can't turn bookcases 45 so they fit together. That's why I've made a wallpaper that looks exactly like the bookcases. Also in the orginal 4 colors. So it looks like the wall is all covered with bookcases.
I love your creations too*clicks on 'add as favorite creator'*, especially the Tuscany walls.

pegasaus 14th May 2009 8:54 PM

SimsShine-library is perfect,I have one in my neighbourhood, also with secret rooms.
You can turn bookcase correct to 45 degree angle with 'boolprop allow45degreeangleofrotation true' and 'boolprop snapobjectstogrid false'.

Yes, I used those cheats too, but they still don't fit . Can't explain..

pegasaus 15th May 2009 10:25 AM

SimsShine-with these cheats also try 'move_objects on',maybe it will help.

Naeniver 15th May 2009 8:28 PM

Ok, my mouth just dropped to the floor, SimsShine! That library is like totally awesome! Way to go!

EDIT: Also, I thought I might mention that my old plan for a castle is currently in the trashbin. I'm not getting arid of what I've done so far, but I'm going to stop working on it.

Now I'm doing to do some random little vacation-style homes from floorplans in this Menards magazine I have.

conor_wilson 15th May 2009 10:54 PM

Hey again

My Nuclear Bunker has been denied so i'm resubmitting it. I am also building a house based on a villa i went to on holiday in florida last october But i have had so much trouble with it. First I had trouble with the refusenik trash compactor that comes with the basegame that happened twice and the third time i tried it happend with certain bedding recolours (also basegame) I'm going to re install the game over this weekend. Its like something happens to break my game and i only ever temporarily fix it. It really annoying

BTW That Library is AMAzing!! I love it. and simshine how did you get it in windowed mode I'm running XP not vista but i cant work out how can anyone help?

Naeniver 16th May 2009 2:34 AM

conor_wilson, there is a wiki page HERE that tells all about putting your game into windowed mode. I think you have to have a shortcut on your desktop, and it is the shortcut that you modify (following the instructions given). Hope it helps.

Did the mods say what needed revision for your bunker?

conor_wilson 16th May 2009 11:32 AM

It was the screenshots that were to small/too far away and i didn't link all of the custom content (Which I Did!)So i am Reuploading it along with my villa As soon as i reinstallmy game today & tomorow and the problem it i don't think i have all of the codes. I ve got all the ones ive purchased recently but the others i dont know about but i'm sure they'll turn up in the end!

Naeniver 16th May 2009 4:49 PM

I see. Did you use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer thing before you tried to upload? Sometimes things get put into the package that shouldn't be there (CC that you know you did not use) and you can use the Clean Installer to take those things out. That way you are uploading exactly what you advertise. That might take care of that problem.

As for too small or too far away screenshots, that's harder to perfect. I would suggest browsing through the lot section of the downloads here on mts2. Take a look at some of the screenshots others take. The screenshot you shared further up this page is too far out. You should try zooming in and centering in on the building itself for a nice view of the front. Take a few more pictures also that is higher up to show off the nicely slanted roof. Is there stuff inside the shelter? Give us a floor plan. That's my advice. You should try showing off the lot in the Creator Feedback forum if you haven't already (don't recall seeing it in there). If you have used the Creator Feedback forum before, disregard the following:

There in the Creator Feedback forum you can get great feedback on your lot. A bit of a warning: lots of the other creators who give feedback can be nit-picking and very critical of what you know is hard work, but don't let it get to you. They are honest and give sound advice. And keep in mind that what they say is only advice. You don't have to actually do anything they suggest. But its often great to get a variety of opinions. It lets you know what prospect downloaders of your lot (or mesh, recolor, or whatever else you might make) look for. People won't download stuff they don't like. Of course, you can never please everybody, so don't even try. If you like a certain suggestion and think its a good idea, do it. And don't give in to frustration. Listening to people poo-poo your creation can be hard.

Anyhow, that's my bit of advice. I personally think the bomb shelter is a neat idea. From what I can see in that tiny, zoomed-out picture you have above, it looks pretty good. Could do with a few smaller dead trees, maybe, if you have the appropriate EP (gosh... what is it?... I can't remember what EP has the dead, creepy trees in them... maybe Apartment Life?... or Nightlife... I can't remember; taking a look in your profile I see you have pretty much every EP and SP made, so you should have that smaller creepy tree hanging around). I'd really like to see the inside. Does it have a basement? There is a wiki hanging around here somewhere that tells how to make a basement if you don't know how...

SimsShine 16th May 2009 5:55 PM

I'm glad everybody like it
I'll try the 2 cheats out Pegasaus, and I'll make some new pics soon.

Here's my first Menards house. I deviated... a little... I'm the Queen Deviator! It should be my nickname. *snickers* I think I had a tad bit too much pop. I feel like a fruit loop. You know, all goopy and gross and messy.

No, jk, I just feel a little giddy is all.

Now for the pictures. This is my 814 Glen Ellen Lane. Got the name out of the Menards magazine, and the picture of the house in the magazine actually had 814 drawn on it. Is it too boxy? It gives me a boxy feeling. You'd be surprised how many houses in that magazine were boxy. *shrudders* A few good'uns, but not many.

hey I did use the clean installer and i think it was some of the outside rubbish that i got from retail sims I Thought that they were non distrubutable(?) so i linked it on my post it might be that i had the wii controllers on the maxis games console.
As for the screenshots I was trying a different method that what i previously did(us print screen button, Paste into word then drag onto desktop) the method i used was save the word document as a web page and then open the folder it created and take the pics from there. But word shrinks them down too small. I pasted them into another program i have called Corel Photo editor but then they were too big.(about 350 KB in jpeg format) You see I don't have internet on my laptop and i have to download things from the desktop and carry them across using a memory stick. because of this i cant activate my copy of photoshop CS2 which kinda sucks And I just have so many problems trying to get screen shots its unbeliveable.
Plus I have uninstalled my game because certain maxis items/recolours were playing up and causing my game to crash. and now everytime i try to install them again myh computer just restarts in the middle of loading and it never happens in the same place. I've been trying to install them since 9 o clock yesterday morning and ive only installed two (original and nightlife) so far Ive no idea what it is. I have a HP Pavillion zv5000 laptop running Windows XP Can anybody help?
P.s It is only a basement (I do know how but thanks!) ive included the floorplan if you want to have a look Plus some photos of the house i am trying to make see my post above

Naeniver 17th May 2009 6:31 PM

Okay, a tip on floorplan images. Zoom in only on the building. A sky-view of the yard isn't necessary in a floorplan picture. From this far out its hard to see what's what.

As for the house you want to make, it looks okay in real life but may turn out to be slightly boxy in the game. I don't know. You might want to deviate slightly from the real one and make it a little different.

Your problems with running the game properly is obviously that you picked up a bug somewhere (that's what it sounds like, anyways) and maybe it infected your zip or rar file that you tried to upload? Just a guess...

Ditto DJ. No where near enough EPs and SPs. Too bad most of it is in another language (German??? maybe Italian?). It looks like a villa; is it meant to be? Or is it just a vacation home? Great job, though!

It may be vacation home or normal house, but better use it as a house, because there are some orange trees, so sim have an well-paid job. Language is Polish, but all information which you need is in English. Other are just desription.

BTW, this was orginal hose. I've just remade it.

I also put furniture in it so nobody is complaining anymore that my buildings are unfurnished! :o

averything is build out of basic things, there are only 2 things that are downloaded.
hope you will like it, if you want me to post pictures now, just give me a sign

!jolien!-House is nice, but I don't like modern homes so I can't really comment your house.

Dj Music 30th May 2009 12:23 PM

Jolien, The house is amazing! One thing I notice though, is the edge of the lot isn't flat, is it?
Lots won't be accepted here unless all the edges of the lot is flat.

Project Name: Maria Avenue
Date Started: 6/6/09 (5:36 pm Central Time)
Release Date: 6/9/09-6/10/09

Ok this is my first home on Sims 2 WITHOUT a foundation. I was kind of scared at first, cause I prefer having foundations, but other creators have inspired me to experiment. Here’s a little information and screenshots on it:

Bedrooms: 1
Baths: 1.5
Kitchen and Dining Room
Attached Garage
Pond
“Walk Around” sidewalk

Please note its no where near completion. I’m working hard on the outside first, then I’ll worry about the inside. The backyards sidewalk is killing me . It isn’t feeling right to me. Maybe it’s creator fatigue?! (Gasp!) Also, I’m considering widening the upper story to accommodate two bedrooms. Do you think I should? Anyway, what do you guys think about it so far?

Please give me your opinions,
~GuardStud08

Update

Here's a new picture of the backyard:

When I change it to a dorm lot I can move a student in it but when you get to the lot again it wont let you play them rofl

Oh well Ill carry it on some time when I figure out why its doing that

(major sucks has I have made the main dorm, the church, the rectory)

I had the same problem once, and it was because i removed the mail box.
Once I put one again all worked fine!

GuardStud08-the roof near small tower looks like pyramid, try to fix that. The same for roofs near garage. When I look at it,it looks nice, but add some flowers/shrubs/bushes in front of the house. For backyard, you have small lake and you put bridge over it?Delete it,it will look better.I see that edges aren't flat, ones near lake.Lot won't be accepted until they are 100%flat.And since house looks more in older style than newer,I recommend you to delete pool and make patio. And put redbrick driveway instead of grey one.And try using lighter roof, this looks very dark.
For inside:kitchen and living room are very big.Your half bath is very big for half bath, and on the second floor, bathroom is almost larger than bedroom.
Here is idea,look at pictures.
I hope this helps.

Lol, it looks better like that as well. I added shurbs and flowers last night and I'll fix the rooms, remove the pool, and fix the roofs right now. Thanks for your opinion. *Loads Sims 2 and works*

EDIT:

Well I tried to make the changes. Everything worked except the roof. Also, I removed the pond and added something else. The pictures will tell. I have to say your suggestions actually make more sense then what I was doing. Thanks pegasaus. Feel free to tell me more :D

GuardStud08-House looks nice, but still I have some ideas for your home.
First,in backyard you have MANY chairs and benches.House is made for three sims and in backyard there are 16 places for sitting! And area near back door looks like outside restaurant! For inside, your armchair is very near sofa,it's better to place it near coffee table and rotate it to coffee table. It's better to delete stereo,it's very near piano, and both items make music. And black tiles in kitchen make kitchen very dark, and that blue rug looks horrible in kitchen. Also in garage, put redbrick tiles. For second floor, that rug at top of stairs don't get good with other furniture. In bedroom change that crazy tiles in wood ones. And move bed, because how it looks now, only one sim can sleep.
For front,see picture.
I hope this helps.

!jolien!-Palace is awesome! But it needs a lot of work to be finished.Great work!

The palace is finished now... otherwise the game crashes, i really cant get it any better than that. sorry but the building is already a giant thing, so for me it is a finished chapter. and btw what has to be changed, i made it like it is in the real world.... i checked everything twice and watched for the possibility's.... the driveways are indeend not so good, but sims 2 doesnt allow you to put gates on that part does it also, i only build without downloade objects, it is a pretty boring palace and i watched sky pictures and angle pictures of the building, if i am going to add things now it wouldnt be the palace of belgium anymore.

You're very helpful. Thank you. Now that you mention it, I do have to many chairs in the backyard. I guess I went overboard.

pegasaus 9th Jun 2009 7:58 PM

!jolien!-I thought that you will furnish it,but yes it's very big so it's better to upload it unfurnished.

GuardStud08-Thank you for listening my ideas

!jolien! 9th Jun 2009 8:35 PM

it is furnitured pegasus and if my game, let me make it the way you wanted it, i would do it, it is furnished and the 3th floor is empty, sorry if my reaction sounded a bit rude.

pegasaus 9th Jun 2009 10:40 PM

!jolien!-why you listen what I say?I thought that you will furnish it,then you said that you won't,then I say OK,then you say that you did as I wanted.I saw it on your profile and it looks amazing!

Ok after many days of trying and failing to get sims 2 installed, I am giving up. I am going to wipe the hard drive clean except for a few essential files. and then save up over the next couple of weeks to buy sims 3. although i am unsure as to what the specifications for sims 3 or my laptop are I'll just have to guess. anyways I might get a new laptop for my birthday so Fingers Crossed!

Naeniver 11th Jun 2009 5:20 PM

I wouldn't hope too much for sims 3 to work on any laptop (typically laptops just aren't designed to run big games, and if you think sims 2 is big and difficult to play smoothly, then sims 3 is going to be 10 times worse, from what I've been hearing). Have you tried making a thread in the game support forum, conor_wilson? I'm sure someone there ought to be able to help you. I don't know where that forum is, but it should be hanging around here somewhere, I should think. However, HERE is a wiki link that might help you in getting sims 2 to install. After wiping your hard drive, try to install your sims 2 games again. Chances are that wiping the drive will clear any problems you've been having. Also, depending on your problems, maybe your dvd or cd drive has failed or is failing? That would keep you from installing and then playing the games.

I've just had another of my lots approved (yay!), and I'm about to go and submit another one. 814 Glen Ellen Lane is approved, and Candlewick Estate will hopefully be approved soon.

This is a new house i made with the use of 2 new cheats that i never used before, grind lines gone, for a believeble garden and level flooring for the driveway gate. i really like
it , i know it is just a simple shape, but, something of the house in the modern style it is gives me a feeling that its a comy house. i know its not a perfect house, but i wantet to try everything out

The inside is allmost done, outside is everything done

Naeniver 12th Jun 2009 10:51 PM

*mouth drops* What an incredible inspiration, Jolien! That miniature steamliner is swell (or is it a paddleboat?? I might suggest some smoke stacks). I'm green with envy that I didn't think of it first... Maybe I could take it along another route, though. I was watching the news and someplace in Europe (tentatively, someplace dutch by the sounds of the language) houseboats are becoming increasingly popular due to how the water continually swells or something like that and swamps the mainland (I didn't get to see the whole report), and so lots of people were buying and building houseboats to live on. There is some potential there, methinks, for some sims2 lots.

In your Villa Moderna, does that slide that goes into the pool actually work? I've tried that, and the sims just get stuck (standing on the water) and you must teleport them to the mailbox or something like that to get them unstuck.

(o)___(o)!!!

Oh my gosh!! This roof is really ticking me off!!! I CANNOT get it to work. Either it looks funky or it says “Item cannot be placed”. Also if you look at the pics, how do I fix that? Is it fixable? Will it affect my Sims way of living? I’ve tried and tried to fix this roof, but NO luck. So frustrating!! Any advice/help?

!jolien!- Awesome

Naeniver 12th Jun 2009 11:14 PM

GuardStud08, this is a fairly classic problem if you ask me. I get this problem no less than 2 or 3 times for almost every house I make. One might think I'd've gotten the hang of it by now, but I haven't. I can't ever remember what I did to fix it the last time I get the error, and I guess I haven't the sense to write it down. Somehow I always manage to fix the problem... Someone else might be able to help you, tho! I do know that sometimes objects INSIDE the rooms will get in the way (for whatever reason) and will put gaps in the walls and roofing... I've found that sometimes (not all the time) moving all the furniture and decor will solve this problem (move stuff, put in roof, and replace stuff). I might try that...

As long as you dont steal my ideas its fine, cause boat building on that way is kind of the first thing that i did on mts, and in villa moderna, the slide is actually a swimming pool slide so, yes, it works And building such a boat takes loads of inspiration and building techniques, expirimenting with shapes and such its not a steamlinerits a yacht actually steamliners are if it has bigger size, but my goal still ils , to be as good as vindicare, but, i cant and.. for more boats, check my profile and you will see a whole fleet for your own marina harbor

Naeniver 13th Jun 2009 3:52 AM

Ah, I see. I've tried using the regular playground slide with no luck. And no worries, I won't steal any ideas. I am wondering, however, if it would be possible to make a boat with a story underwater? That would be really neat, but I don't know if it would be possible. I've an idea, and I think I could get it to work, actually. I'm currently building this massive castle (one level, plus basement, a moat and bridge as well...) and I have my basement going nearly (just shy) of the moat... I'll have to toy with that idea though.

And that is an impressive handful of houseboats! You have a fantastic touch when it comes to making houses. I tend to make fairly ordinary houses, and I don't have that certain knack for landscaping or anything. I tend to do well with interior design... sometimes. But I always get blown away with the fantastic buildings other people make. Like those Harry Potter buildings (Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, Hogwarts, etc.), and so on.

I did once make this house real fast for my sister where it was some sort of gravity-defying sort of thing (a house elevated over a lake with almost no support). It looked a little weird, though...

I tried also, with a basement as the part under the wather , but the problem than is, that you see its in the ground cause the basement goes to the floor and that makes it less boat like, i really tried many things, but it didnt work maybe if one person on mts, makes a mesh or something for a boat, but no it is impossible i think, mayby vindicare knows, Greetings Jolene
