I only have dreams about it if I haven't been able to play it in a long time, usually about houses I want to build.

TychoH 27th Jun 2016 6:26 AM

In my dream I was showing Pleasantview to someone. I dream in Dutch, so I explained to her that the surname Burb just means... well, what it means. Then I showed her some of the sims. Dirk, Angela, you name them.

Next thing I know I was driving a police car in Pleasantview, right behind Angela Pleasant. She was 16 and just had her driver's license, and wasn't driving that bad. Somehow we knew she had a cabbage in the back of her small car, and if she cooked it it would taste criminally filthy, so we made her stop. She drove into some bushes and couldn't come out of the car.

Then I woke up laughing.

Kligma 10th Jul 2016 12:23 PM

I just woke up from a dream where I was in some building, looking at my sims family tree which in the dream was very confusing. I was also talking about my sims with someone, in a really odd faux-British accent.
Then I saw a row of swings in the building, the kind of swings toddlers have, and in each one of them sat toddler versions of a few of my sims, one of them being my CAS made founder Neighbour Neighbour. I found this extremely awkward, but then I thought, so what, Neighbour is dead in my game so I have to go interact with him, no matter his state. So I picked him up from the swing and he instantly wrapped his arms around my neck and I kissed his cheek.
We went into another room where he could climb some... climbing thing, although I was worried about him falling or otherwise hurting himself. Some person entered the room and it was as if the two of us were Neighbour's parents. At some point I stroked the person's cheek using Neighbour's hand and we danced around, me holding Neighbour and singing to him, "this old heart of mine is weak for you". Really cheesy, but it was great. Also the only dream I've had about having a kid that wasn't a nightmare xD And the dream got that right: adult, old or ghost, Neighbour will always be my baby :3

I dreamed the UI for elders had been radically updated, with the earlier lifestages vanishing in order to make room for lots of detailed information about their health. You could see the exact time they had left to live, and there was a lot of detail not just about the standard flu but things like their eyes and joints, which I didn't have time to look through and get a grasp of because the femme fatale was performing and I had to go check out somebody's long-lost dad's secret lairs, which was in an old laundry room and hilarious. For the same reason I didn't have a chance to figure out how the dual controls work, since another feature of the update was the introduction of a multi-player mode.

Bulbizarre 19th Sep 2016 11:51 PM

I just had one.

Two of my Sims were eating some sort of aspiration reward cake but then it electrocuted one of them and he died. So I had my second Sim get out the grim reaper phone and try to resurrect him with all the money she had, but suddenly all the universal NPCs glitched and got strange wireframe faces and Grimmy kept giving off debug messages. So I had to save and quit and I came to MTS to ask about it and someone (it was a long-time member, but the name kept changing) had said it was because I deleted Pleasantview. And then there was something involving a servo on a spaceship but I can't remember that.

kamoodle5 20th Sep 2016 10:15 AM

My Sims dream from the previous morning was actually a merging between our world and the Sims'. In this case, I was at a place I can easily recognize near me yet my custom Sims were present there instead. I observed everything like I would in the game and at the same time, there was a moment where it felt I was in my Simsona's shoes.

I was hanging around inside the main entrance of my super Target store with my Sim, and as usual, she was enjoying the attention from her lovers near the fresh produce section. One of my more social Sims decided to approach one of my Sim's lovers to chat with them. Annoyed, I paused the game, panned the camera all the way to the rear corner of the building where the men's clothing are, and commanded my Sim to dash there.

This next part is a little fuzzy but I believe it was Frank who followed her there and resumed his affection for a bit (it was William who was in the middle of that conversation). Then somehow, my Sim was autonomously moving towards the front of the store, likely to do something with William while totally ignoring Frank. Suddenly, the camera dropped to the ground as if she tripped and fell, since I was currently perceiving her first-person view. Looking to my Sim's left, I noticed my elderly male Sim was checking out clothing at the kids' section (more like older kids or adolescents), and after that was a vast stretch of passage where William was rushing to my Sim's aid.

What followed after that didn't seem to involve the Sims anymore although I think there were glimpses of Frank on occasion, and I was still at my Super Target store. I believe it was at this point my subconscious was convincing me to wake up to answer nature's call, because all I did for the remainder of that dream was look for one of the ladies' rooms available.

After I woke up, I was encouraged to replicate the store exactly as I know the building. On the other hand, the experience there actually felt quite familiar compared to other larger, existing lots in the game I love to have my Sim visit. I find it astounding how two close Sims will always know how and where to find each other even if they're on the other side of the lot and the lot is huge.

Bulbizarre 23rd Sep 2016 9:35 PM

Had another Sims dream last night. i was playing the Widespot subhood, except it was some sort of vacation subhood with lots of skyscrapers. Rich Mann was living in one of the skyscrapers but it glitched so I tried to move him out but I couldn't. So I went to read the readme for the subhood and it was just talking about water textures. Then I replaced a telescope and burst into tears.

alljoj 23rd Sep 2016 9:51 PM

Once I had a dream where I was an adult (I think I faintly remembered going to college) and I apparently lived in Pleasantview. I first realized this fully when my outfit was the shitty flannel I put on my Simself, but I wasn't really lucid dreaming, more just kinda knowing what was going on. Well, anyways, Don Lothario was after me, and Gilbert Jacquet was also after me, but it turned out he wanted to kill me because of how much I shittalked him. So that's where my signature came from.

It was weird.

Bulbizarre 22nd Oct 2016 11:08 PM

Had another one. My self-Sim was visiting another Sims' mansion, and she picked up a remote control to change the TV station. Immediately the lord of the manor (who looked like a strange cross of a younger Mortimer Goth and Peter Ottomas) came out and in the top right corner was "Don't STEAL!" Then an action appeared in her queue - "Follow to Chambers." I couldn't cancel it. But then Mortimer/Peter suddenly stopped because there was a chair in the way and threw a pathfinding fit and my self-Sim jump-bugged. Also this was somehow in first-person.

JDacapo 23rd Oct 2016 1:48 AM

I've dreamed of Sims before... like Circe Beaker talking to me... and she had a longer hairstyle. I don't remember what she said, but I knew she was up to no good.

eduseo 23rd Oct 2016 5:02 AM

I do remember I had one ages back when my bacc sims Elonso, Noah and Cecilia where teens. I've completely forgot what happened but I did document it on my tumblr straight after I woke up because I remembered it for a few seconds (I rarely remember my dreams.) Apparently this is what I wrote:

"Elonso was abducted by aliens and he lost all of his memories. When he came back he started chasing Cecilia, who he thought she was his girlfriend before the abduction. Noah got angry and said “that’s your sister! I’m your boyfriend!” Elonso replied with “But you’re my brother!” And Cecilia suddenly screamed “but he’s my brother too!” Elonso proceeded to faint and turn blue for some reason and everyone in the Flores family started fanning him chanting “brother.” …then I woke up feeling very confused at what the world I just dreamt about."

To explain: Elonso and Noah where dating (they're married with a kid now) and he most definitely has homosexual preferences so I have no idea why he was chasing Cecilia. Elonso is the result of an alien abduction and he and and Cecilia are half siblings which make it kind of... errrr moving on! Noah and Cecilia are not related but they are childhood friends, so I guess she could call him her brother but she kind of indicates Elonso is his sibling is completely wrong.

I have no idea what my brain was doing that night but I need a sequel to this dream. I have several questions that I would like answering.

JDacapo 24th Oct 2016 5:42 AM

Recently, I dreamed I was playing Sims 2 and kind of 'inside' the game and my sim was going to die of old age... I expected to see the Grim Reaper icon in her queue, but I saw something else... and figured the game was glitching.

SimlishLiars 26th Oct 2016 2:52 PM

I dreamt of the sims 3 stuffs related to my town but never of the sims 2 yet, probably because I spend less time on it playing it due to the crash .

I dreamed a sim had drowned in a pool on one of my lots. I didn't notice when it happened, I think I left the computer for a while and came back to see a tombstone (in the middle of the swimmingpool). I was so scared it was one of my sims who had drowned, so I had my sibling check the tombstone because I didn't dare to do it myself. Obviously, my first time to have a sim die young two days ago hit me harder than I thought.

Peni Griffin 5th Feb 2017 6:09 PM

In the dream I had a larger-than-eight household with a couple of elders, some adults, and some children. One female adult was a real sim in waking life, and she was at a different life stage. One of the elders dies of old age. I'm going around dealing with mundane stuff when suddenly all but one of the portraits down the side vanish! I go WTF and rewind the game (a feature I have always wanted; in the dream it was standard and a routine thing to do) so I can see what happened. Turns out that a satellite fell on Sue Casa, the single real sim (and therefore my favorite on the lot), so that she vanished first; and then fire spread from the satellite and got everyone who was clustered around crying about her, including the kids. Grim never showed up and it was all over in an eyeblink.

Highly annoyed, I quit to the neighborhood without saving, and who can blame me?

ieta_cassiopeia 10th Feb 2017 10:55 PM

Megha Land asked me if I could find her lost plumbob. Turned out it was under the cooker for some reason, and it hadn't occurred to Megha that an item could be there (cookers not having underside nooks in Sims 2, but the one in my dream did). She smiled at me and said something in Simlish before I woke up.

AndrewGloria 6th May 2017 4:27 PM

Last night I dreamt that Andrew's dad turned up. He had lots of black hair and a huge black bushy beard. Looked a bit like Karl Marx, but with a black beard.

(btw Andrew's dad is Mystery Sim.)

I had this dream a while back after playing The Sims 2 and watching Homeland in the same day. It was a Sims game where you had to build your own embassy (this was the series of Homeland where they're in the embassy in Pakistan) and your Sims were CIA agents. I woke up so disappointed that it wasn't a real game! The best I could do to recreate it was to build an apartment lot for my intelligence career Sims with communal office and social space on the ground floor. So if anyone has any tips for how to make my dream a reality, let me know.

Catwoman44 9th May 2017 12:30 PM

I had a dream about my two favourite Sims, Samu and Mathi. I was living with them and Samu was being stupid once again, so I got in a fight with him, which ended with me kicking him out of the house.
Then I woke up and thought: "What the heck was that?!"

GabyPurpleB 26th May 2017 3:28 AM

JDacapo 26th May 2017 9:18 PM

Last night, I dreamed of the Sims as I was falling asleep. There was a blond sim woman with pretty custom hair done up in one of those thick bun/ponytail hairdos, and she was walking around, and then she walked behind a wall... and then she peeked out and stared at me. I was so creeped out I woke up.

DezzyDoesThings 27th May 2017 2:46 AM

I dreamt last night someone made a mod that made the Sims 2 operate more like Sims 4. I can't remember all the details but it was a huge mod and had many features that were crazy! Like you could minutely adjust the personalities and even have traits.

Natpop 27th May 2017 4:51 PM

Last time I dreamt of the sims I had been playing a lot and was mostly decorating/making over houses.

The dream was exactly that; decorating/making over a house. It was one of those sort of realistic dreams, where it felt like I hadn't gone to bed and was still playing the game, lol. Also maybe I was sort of half awake because I felt like I had some sort of control over it "no no, not that chair! That doesn't match, where's that other chair I downloaded recently..." etc

I suppose I had thought "I can't wait to wake up and pick up where I left off!"
I guess I was so excited I skipped the waking up part...

HonokaAizawa 28th May 2017 9:45 AM

Last night I had a dream that was kinda sims like...

My boyfriend's mother's best friend had a problem with her tiny kitchen. So I used my incredible awesome building skills to make it more like an open kitchen. Hah, deleting unnecessary walls that easy would be nice in real life...

Peni Griffin 15th Sep 2018 9:19 PM

I dreamed that my husband had secretly begun playing Sims 2, and I found out about it when I discovered a diorama he was making, using tabletop RPG and craft materials, of one of his sim scenarios, in which a husband was holding off Grim with a ladder sacred to the God of Life. He was explaining the ongoing storyline to me, though I don't remember most of it, just that it involved a massive mess in Woodrow Wilson's cabinet which needed to be fixed before it had dire consequences. I offered to teach him cheat codes and introduce him to hacks which would make his story play out better, and asked if I could take a picture of his diorama to post online. He said I could, but I should read a certain book first, and he didn't actually have a copy of the book, though he had some other books in the series written by a different author. This I found annoying because I wanted to show off my husband's work to the community.

Peni, I totally forgot which thread I was on and thought that legitimately happened.

Typical Sims dream (and by typical, I mean I've been getting something similar every few months or so for at least a dozen years, for just about every incarnation of the game I've ever played):
I've just gotten a new expansion pack (often something about the supernatural or sci-fi) and I have to rush through exploring the new content because I know my time at the computer is limited, usually because I have to go to bed or to school. Sometimes, just for variety, the computer suddenly shuts down in my face or starts installing an update I can't stop and that I need to close the Sims for. I never have time to check everything I want. Or I'm trying to start the computer/the Sims and there's some bug or another preventing me to do so...

… This might have to do with the fact that, every time I used to get a new expansion pack, I inevitably had to interrupt far sooner than I wanted. Very frustrating, as you probably know, and doubly so because I tend to remember dreams very well so I know what I'm missing when I wake up - some of these expansions would have been really great to have in real life.

On a funnier note, do you remember that jingle when your sim picks up a collectible item in the Sims 3? Well, I'm unlikely to ever forget it…
You see, Geology is a major interest of mine, so I often dream about finding pretty rocks. And what do you think I hear when I pick one up, even though the dream might otherwise be completely unrelated to the Sims? Let me tell you, it can get really, really annoying…

Pygsmyemm 27th Sep 2018 3:37 AM

I have a family who has a dog called Otis who they adopted and i didn't pay enough attention to his personality traits, he got him taken away because of him he won't eat even out of the most expensive bowls until he's near the brink of starvation, he won't eat at all if there isn't a bowl on the floor he's currently now if he's upstairs and there's no bowl he won't go downstairs, he won't eat out of cheaper bowls, he won't eat out of the bowl if it's not cleaned and with fresh food replaced within the last 3/4 sim hours after that he won't eat it at all but you can't clean the bowl and put in new food in front of them because he won't eat it either, he'll sit on the parents bed upstairs stairing into space until he has no choice but to eat, during winter he won't eat at all and keeps trying to eat the snow outside until he starvs to death and gets taken away, he's both cowardly and finicky which are two traits you don't want together.

Thankfully i save my game regularly so i could just quit to the neighborhood without saving and go back in to where i saved it last but eventually i had to just keep an eye on him and only feed him treats because i ended up doing that in Winter time anyway... i'm convinced he's evil but he'll accept treats oh yes... but he won't eat any other food maybe he's doing it knowing i'll just feed him treats but maybe he is just super OCD and worries about eating the dog food i dunno i gave up trying lol, but yet the bugger grew on me neverless... and that night i had a dream he was taken away and i saved it too late where my sims couldn't get him back i felt so bad when i woke up i wanted to hide from everything lol one of the worst dreams i've had in my life over a darn game haha

i had a dream about sims 2 a few times

one of the dream was when i was to a sims 2 country when they only speaks sims
and of course i didn't understand a word what they were saying

edit: by the way i also got dreams about a sims 2 serie called My Life but i don't remember the other things correctly
but i remember i met nataliefirexx and her characters (Maddie, Ryan, Drake, Nicole etc) in my dreams

edit -------> 28 september <------- i had an dream about sims 2 again last night
but this time it was about the other sims 2 serie called desperation

i was at the waterslide looking for a plug to charge my mobile up or something
but i never found them on a waterslide, then i was looking at the studyrooms but all of the seats was taken
so i sit on a free chair or atleast i thought the seat wasn't taken by someone else

but then i bumped into Rayne, jace, mikayla, ryder, chris and lila and apologized to all of them about me sitting on a chair when this was already taken

Last night I dreamed I was playing a brand-new family in a brand-new hood, and Mrs. Crumplebottom showed up on the residential lot with a Continental Clip, walking on all fours, and identified by the game as a dog named Gregg. Then more copies of the Gregg/Crumplebottom amalgam started showing up.

Talk about nightmares!

I tell a good friend sometimes what happen in my game. About a month ago, I came down with the flu and had this crazy dream in my feverish delirium, whereas "the deity of Sims" yelled at me to not telling my friend every detail about the puberty of one of my teen male sims. -.- There were things and animations involved I didn't know are even possible in the game, and some strange content like out of a basic teen movie, some very embarrassing things. This deity made me feel so guilty for not telling this random stuff, it was really horrible in some way. My first impulse when I woke up was to write my friend all this rubbish as the deity commanded. Luckily I came to my sense early enough to realize that it was only a strange dream.

I've been playing Audiosurf lately (probably the worst game ever for someone with PD ). Last night I dreamed that I was playing it, but the rocket was actually a plumbob and then halfway through the song the game suddenly turned into the Sims 2. It's hard to explain.

sailorplanet97 24th Nov 2018 9:05 PM

and then we stopped somewhere and then i got lost. my friend found me and walked me home
i guess we didn't joined with the people but my friend asked were i went and asked me why i didn't continue with them

AndrewGloria 27th Nov 2018 1:03 AM

My Sims are so real to me, that sometimes the distinction between what happens in real life and what happens in my game becomes quite blurred. A couple of weeks ago I was watching a programme on television about the Welsh national war memorial. The narrator started to focus on the large number of soldiers called Jones killed in the 1914-18 war, and for a few seconds I seriously wondered if any of them might be related to my original Sims, Andrew and Gloria Jones. I remembered that, however real they may be to me, Andrew and Gloria really exist only in my game, but the incident reminded me one of the oddest dreams I've had about Sims. I dreamt that my Sims had an Eisteddfod! I didn't post about it at the time because the only thing I could remember about the dream when I woke up was that they were having one, and having no Welsh connections myself at all, I have only the vaguest idea of what an Eisteddfod is. As far as I know it's a celebration of Welsh language, poetry, music and culture. Perhaps @Bigsimsfan12 can explain it better than I can. But why I should dream that my Sims were having one I have no idea. Or indeed why would they have one? When I think about it, I reckon Gloria and Andrew Jones must have had something to do with it -- they were the only Sims I can think of with a Welsh surname in my game at the time. "Gloria, did you organise it?"

There is now also a Gwyneth Edwards, who lives in Monopolis with her teenage son Edgar, and who I think might also conceivably have some Welsh ancestry, but it couldn't be her, because I only made them in CAS this summer, and my Eisteddfod dream was last year (or the year before).

Pretty much that. I've never been to one. There's one in Llanrwst next August, which is only several stones throws away, so maybe I'll do my research

Bulbizarre 28th Nov 2018 12:53 AM

@AndrewGloria - Perhaps when you told your Sims about the War Memorial, they did some research into their ancestry and heritage and decided to put one on for fun while you weren't in-game to see them.

EDIT: Perhaps not, unless they also invented time travel. I misunderstood your post and the War Memorial thing came after your dream.

Bulbizarre 30th Nov 2018 8:03 PM

I had a very strange dream that didn't involve the Sims so much as the Simmers on this site.

I'd gone to a street in my town (that doesn't actually exist) because @Zarathustra had somehow been hired to make a real-life building, some sort of themed restaurant, and I wanted to ask about something. When I got there, though, he (or she? not entirely sure, and it was ambiguous in the dream) was just stalking back and forth muttering about wall limits. For some reason I felt the need to hide under a table that was in the parking lot, but then I realized my cane wouldn't fit under it. So I spent a very long time trying to cross a cornfield that was in the middle of town (that also doesn't exist).

I went into my local pharmacy (which does exist) and found that it was holding some sort of contest, and that Junior Mann of Widespot and Sebastian Rafferty of Emerald Heights were competing to see who could lipsync to various songs the best, and the morning hosts from the local radio station were there. (The songs that they were using in the contest were ones that were playing on the radio this morning. I guess my sleeping mind could still hear it and incorporated it into my dream.) Anyways, there were a lot of MTS members there. I know that @joandsarah77, @smorbie1, @simsample, @AndrewGloria, @kestrellyn and @Charity were there, although I'm not sure how I recognized them because everybody was faceless and I'm not even sure how most of them look in the first place. There were also a lot of other regulars there too that I didn't quite recognize, so don't feel left out if you weren't on the list.

Anyways, one of the Sims won the contest (though I'm not sure which) and their fathers got into a brawl in the middle of the pharmacy. I decided that was the perfect time to take a nap and laid right down on the floor to do so. When I awoke some time later, I decided to check in on MTS and set up my computer on the pharmacy counter to do so. (I had some trouble untangling the cables for the mouse and keyboard.) There was a new thread on the forum about a sudden surprise update to HoodChecker, and someone had discovered some hidden text strings inside it that indicated that Mootilda wasn't dead, but actually hiding out in @Peni Griffin's basement. Mootilda turned out to be a time traveller sent from the future, and apparently programming Sims 2 tools was part of her plan to halt some sort of world-ending disaster (or at least what I presumed was a world-ending disaster–it wasn't entirely clear). Everybody was talking about how clever Peni was because she'd dropped hints in Widespot that involved anagrams of the character's names.

Unfortunately, this is where I woke up. I wonder where else the dream would've gone if my cat hadn't decided to sit on my face.

Zarathustra 30th Nov 2018 8:28 PM

Gotta say, I kind of love that your first reaction to seeing me stalking back and forth complaining about (wholly unreasonable) restrictions on my creative freedom (totally in character for me, BTW) was to hide.

Bulbizarre 30th Nov 2018 8:50 PM

Out of curiosity, I put the names of the Widespot sims into an online anagram generator. I'm not seeing any clever hints in "Helvetian Tran," "achieving Brie," or "blah unlead."

Justpetro 30th Nov 2018 9:40 PM

I am quite sad not to have made the cut into the dream - highly enjoyed you telling us about it, Bulbizarre!

Bulbizarre 30th Nov 2018 10:05 PM

You were probably there, I just didn't recognize you.

Peni Griffin 30th Nov 2018 10:17 PM

I don't have a basement, or I'd go check for Mootilda right now.

I often have dreams in which I find new rooms and other spaces in my house, including on one occasion several levels of basement space, so perhaps that's where she is.

Discovering a secret hidden room in your house? Be careful what you wish for...

But I kinda feel like that might actually be a common aspect of dreams? At the very least, I've had that happen too. Most of the time it's just connecting to other real locations that aren't actually connected, sometimes it'll actually connect into some of my Sims builds (sidebar, even if it's just a dream, it's AWESOME to get to walk around in your own lots!), sometimes it's just completely random (still the coolest Legend of Zelda dungeon is the one that my brain randomly invented and stuck below the floor of my old high school)

Bulbizarre 30th Nov 2018 10:58 PM

I often have dreams about areas in my town that actually don't exist in real life, entire streets or subdivisions. They remain surprisingly consistent between dreams as well. (The cornfield was new, though.)

A few years ago I had a particularly vivid dream about a restaurant on a specific street corner. Later on, I learned that there once was a restaurant on that street corner, and it was very close to the one I saw in my dream. The weirdest part is that it was demolished in the mid-1980s, years before my birth.

joandsarah77 30th Nov 2018 11:15 PM

That is an excellent dream and I nearly snorted my coffee when you said Mootilda was hiding out in Peni's basement. That was some happening pharmacy @Bulbizarre

Bulbizarre 1st Dec 2018 5:05 AM

I really have no idea why my pharmacy would be hosting a lip-sync contest. There isn't really any room in there for one (or for Caesar Rafferty and Rich Mann to get into a fight without knocking over multiple shelves), though that issue was just kind of glossed over. Ah, you have to love dream logic.

Sunbee 1st Dec 2018 6:34 AM

My 'real' dream house--the one I live in, in real life--has a library. Unfortunately, the actual house just sorely needs one.

Last night I dreamed I built a new inhabited neighborhood in the Sims 2. Then I woke up and was disappointed I hadn't, but there was my youngest needing snuggles, so it was okay, you know?

Emerald1234 1st Dec 2018 9:15 PM

Once I dreamt that all the premade sims were put onto a cruise ship but it ended up like titanic, however the dream always ended right before everyone was about to die.

Sims2Christain 1st Dec 2018 9:53 PM

I had a dream where I was the last Sims 2 player on earth and found upon opening up the game a sim of every Sims 2 player a la the twilight zone. I then cried cause you'd all live on while I died.
Sorry did I say dream? Definitely a nightmare.

Bulbizarre 2nd Dec 2018 7:40 AM

Maybe that was the disaster Mootilda was trying to prevent in my dream. After she went back in time, you were the only one left in the bad future.

LiliLiliLili 2nd Dec 2018 12:55 PM

I had several dreams about sims, usually about sims 2, because it was my childhood.

My memorable sims dreams, I try to cut it short:

- Around 2013 I had a very complex story-like weird dream. Around the end of that dream I was playing sims in a fantasy-nature setting, and I noticed that all of my sims' icon had a red background, I checked them, they were mermaids sitting on rocks around the lake. They were dying. I paused and checked the last clickable sim, I saw her bad mood and bad memories. Then I howered my cursor over a male sim standing there and it said his name was Satan (no additional surname). Well, I know why my sims died - I thought to myself.

- When I was a kid I had a very good dream, I enjoyed it so much. I was playing the sims 2, building stuff, and moving around with the camera, it was like I am flying through the buildings. And there were some new modifications to the game, like new view points or interactions, cool objects, build modes or I don't know... When I wake up I was very sad, maybe I checked the game if my dream came true or not.

- In one of my recent dreams I was putting down neighborhood decorations in a Sims 2-Sims Castaway mashup game. Then I was standing in the river as a giant military general-priest man, I put down the object that I clicked on (dome with sims 3 logo), I put it on top of the water tower with sims 2 logo. Then the sims 3 dome fell off, crumbled, and it revealed the sims 4 logo on the water tower instead of the sims 2 logo. I shouted with joy: Renewal! - then laughed and other giant military general men were standing there and they looked at me like I am an idiot.

There were dreams not related to the sims, but I was thinking about the sims in them.
For example in one of my dreams I was an Arabian slave, I was in my European master's house who was not home. At the end I was on the second floor, near a princess Jasmine magazine (that was the only modern object there...). I was thinking about what cc do I need for my game. When I woke up I knew what cc I needed, so that dream was useful...

I don't remember anything else atm. But I am pretty sure there were more sims dreams.

Emerald1234 2nd Dec 2018 2:21 PM

Once i dreamt that ariel capp was being interviewed as an elder and she revealed that after the summerdreams cast infertility upon all capps and monts the feud...somehow stopped?

Sketching 2nd Dec 2018 5:41 PM

I once had a dream that Grim Reaper burst out of the Hogwarts castle roaring (and running) like a lion and chased the premade Veronaville teens (except for the Montys - who knows why) into a mall that looked more like a mash-up of the Capp, Monty, and Summerdream houses and the Pleasantview shopping center, except that there were a bunch of escalators leading to some TS3 ice cream trucks on the second floor.

The teens then ran into the grocery to grab some swords and shields to fight back against Grim, who suddenly grew a lion's mane and claws. It was apparently so terrifying that the sims ended up splitting up. For some reason, Grim was fixated on Tybalt, who tried to run up the downward escalator to no avail, so Juliet had to run up another escalator to distract him with some sun-shaped pancakes. Meanwhile, Hermia and Miranda were eating biscuits in the toy department, and Puck went to eat a burger and fries at the newly-opened TGI Friday's by the food court.

Somehow, Juliet safely landed after jumping off the second floor balcony and fought Grim directly. After she subdued Lion Grim, Oberon and Titania arrived, saying that they had come to collect their lost prize animal for the carnival. For her valiant efforts, they gave her two tickets to watch their show and they left with Grim in tow. Juliet stared longingly at one of the ice cream trucks until the other teens came back with ice cream cones in their hands yet they didn't offer her one, and they spent the rest of the day window shopping for pillows in a shop run by giants.

While the others were distracted, Juliet was approached by Beauxbaton's Madame Maxime, who was impressed by her heroic act and asked if she'd like to go on a mission for her. They walked away from the unsuspecting group, grabbed some pizza, and continued into an outdoor pumpkin patch, where a yeti shastakiss, HystericalParoxysm, flamingo HugeLunatic, and Delphy were tending to the garden while wearing poofy, white nightgowns. Then it suddenly turned into an Assassin's Creed scene.

Yeah, I don't really understand what happened there and why there was so much food in the dream. Congratulations if you understood that chaos. Looking back at my dream diary, it wasn't even one of the weirdest dreams I've ever had, but since this was the only one with sims (that I can remember, at least), it stuck in my memory and I remembered it after Zarathustra and the others brought up Harry Potter.

Bulbizarre 3rd Dec 2018 5:38 AM

It makes my dream sound like an ordinary day.

Bulbizarre 5th Dec 2018 11:42 AM

I had another TS2 dream. It was superbly vague, though, and the only thing I can remember is that Mrs. Crumplebottom turned out to have been a front-line soldier/spy in World War II.

Now I'm trying to figure out her age to see if that sort of thing would even be possible, because it'd be an awesome headcanon if so.

SneakyWingPhoenix 5th Dec 2018 1:53 PM

Don't think so.

Peni Griffin 5th Dec 2018 4:38 PM

Hey, Steve Rogers and Bucky were frontline soldiers in WWII, and they're still around.

Bulbizarre 6th Dec 2018 12:42 AM

I don't think that Mrs. Crumplebottom has any age data in the game files.

Assuming that TS2 takes place in the mid-2000s, and she was in her early twenties when she joined the war in 1942, she would be in her 80s in the game. Rather spry for it, too.

Sparklypotato 6th Dec 2018 9:47 PM

Yeah, last night I dreamt I met my founder for a challenge I'm doing in Widespot. I said hello to her in like a supermarket as if it was a totally normal thing meeting a half zombie Sim out and about in the store.

Bulbizarre 9th Dec 2018 6:01 AM

I accidentally conked out for a few hours.

I dreamed I was going to see my neurologist. I was also going with Angela Pleasant, who needed a heart transplant or something. We went to the doctor's office, which turned out to be a 200+ story building that resembled the CN tower. We had some trouble with the elevator, and couldn't get the repair phone to work, so I was like "I have some money" (lol i wish) and went into build mode and replaced the elevator. But she was "no, I'm afraid it will plummet" and began climbing up all the stairs. I didn't want her to do that when she needed a heart transplant, so I went and found a random doctor, who turned out to be Vidcund Curious. He convinced Angela to take the elevator and I got her to her appointment.

However, in the process, I'd lost the paper listing the name of my neurologist. I was pretty worried about that so I kept walking across one floor of the skyscraper which was also some sort of minimall. I thought of asking the Charlatan if he knew the name of the neurologist in the building but decided better of it, before ending up in a section of the mall where characters from Animal Crossing kept teleporting in and blocking my path. I was annoyed by that and started shoving them into pitfall traps with my cane and Mrs. Crumplebottom came and smacked them with her purse so I was able to leave. I kept looking for someone to ask but they were all fighting or woohooing on the benches (censor blurs and all).

I then saw some other Sims (Natasha Una, Mercutio Monty, and Malcolm Landgraab IV) playing cards and asked if they knew the name of the neurologist in the building because I was now very late for the appointment. They didn't know but told me which way to go. So I went down a very long, dark hall and...uh, woke up before I got to the end.

Justpetro 11th Dec 2018 11:25 AM

I had a couple of nightmares during building contests, but when it comes to my Sims, I think they dream of me

Bulbizarre 11th Dec 2018 1:10 PM

I had another MTS dream. In it, somehow the database had gotten screwed up and everyone's names and avatars had gotten randomly swapped around. It was pretty chaotic.

MasterRed 17th Dec 2018 1:18 PM

Literally last night I dreamt of Nervous Subject, who has a daughter for some reason, moving in with the Curiouses. I think I’m too excited for my new computer.

sailorplanet97 18th Dec 2018 1:09 AM

2 days ago i played a couple who has 26 kids, and the 7 oldest kids (daughters) are now adults (one of them even has kids)
however i got a bad dream about a sim (the sim who's adult and even got married but doesn't have kids)

i was looking for someone or something so i searched the whole city, i even went on university with my parents.
one of the sims got on the roof and fell of it,

i saw it coming and called my parents who called an ambulance, but that sim (the daughter of a couple where i'm playing at in the game) died instantly
i think all of her siblings cries, even her twin sister cried (the twin sister is the oldest in the family) when the female sim died

and as you can see she was the youngest twin sister who died, the twins got along with each other while on university

WAIT..........DID I SAID BAD DREAMS ? NOPE IT'S CALLED A NIGHTMARE

Peni Griffin 18th Dec 2018 1:57 AM

I dreamed I was trying to teach my husband to use a feature that allowed you to control a movie as if it were sims; but the controls were giving us fits and then my husband discovered that users are only allowed to control two movies per month. We thought this completely unreasonable.

Bulbizarre 18th Dec 2018 11:44 AM

Must have been microtransactions.

sailorplanet97 20th Dec 2018 4:25 PM

i had this super weird dream about a challenge and the sims 2 is kinda involved too

we had to go to the museum or something, so we went to the bus with the town i was coming from and living for,
and we were supposed to be in the city, but instead of that, we went to the forest, also close to the museum.

everyone steps out from the bus and we were in a hurry and got a challenge, but i fell on the ground and lose the challenge. (most people were from the sims, and mostly the sims i created)

but i don't know how it ends since i woke up from a alarm clock
and the alarm clock scared the hell out of me since i was still into a dream stage part

Peni Griffin 18th Jan 2019 2:32 AM

I haven't had any sims dreams per se for awhile, but I have found elements from the game repeated in the dream environment. For instance, the child with the holy relic we were trying to protect from the bad guys in the crowded shopping mall/convention center/museum was almost caught, but eluded them because they didn't realize it was her birthday and kept looking for a child after six o'clock, at which time of course she grew up into a teen.

I have also paused a couple of dreams to go into build mode and change the wall color before getting on with the plot.

Duine 18th Jan 2019 6:03 AM

Yes, and if they don't stop, I'm gonna delete those sims who wake me up! (:

JDacapo 10th Apr 2019 5:46 PM

Last night I had a Sims dream. Was dreaming about playing a few families, including one household with two families living together, and I moved one family into another house and was moving some of the children's toys and stuff to the new house. Was even planning on having the grandmother move to her own place to foster some townie kids and teens.

emmyjulia 11th Apr 2019 2:47 PM

Last night I dreamed about sims, not gameplay but all the downloads I wanted (and want) in my head were available. Like stuff who haven’t been converted. It was LOVLEY.

Misty_2004 18th Apr 2019 6:46 PM

No matter what I'm doing too much of, I'll end up dreaming it. Like I've had a family history project I've been working on and off for the last couple of years, lovely project about the minor family histories of all my friends and me: how many of us are related, how many generations our families go back together--fun stuff like that. I haven't even been working on it for almost a week and in the wee hours there I was digging up information on a long-dead, much-beloved relative. When I'm doing that, no matter what it is, it's past time to take a breather from it.

I haven't played enough Sims in a long time to dream about it, but I declare there's nothing so surreal as those dreams can be.

OnayaW 18th Apr 2019 7:28 PM

I actually often have sims dreams ---
Lately it includes Mortimer and Bella but last month it included Cassandra and Vidcund
Depends on what story I tell myself before bed

Charity 19th Apr 2019 10:19 AM

I had a dream where I was watching a sim like game and the player killed a sim. And the game showed all his family having a funeral and crying and his girlfriend dropped out of school and went off the tracks and I was thinking, people who kill their sims don't realise how much suffering it causes. DX

I, personally, have never dreamed about the Sims, that I can recall... My sister-in-law, however, had to give up playing because it gave her nightmares.

True story!

Nightmares? What was she doing to her sims?

grinevilly 21st Apr 2019 1:34 PM

Haha, nothing! In her dreams, everyone was in aspiration failure, just screaming at her in simlish. She couldn't understand what anybody wanted. i'm pretty sure it has something to do with her being an Events Planner, as servers always seem to have angry customer dreams. hahaha...

StrangeTownChick 23rd Apr 2019 11:53 PM

Last night I dreamt that I was playing an orphanage with one man and a ton of kids. It was also sort of a farm because there was a barn, as well as a river running in front of it. I realized that in front of each of the two outhouses was a huge line of kids all yelling that they had to pee, and both toilets in the house were also occupied.
I decided to build a third bathroom, so I uploaded a drawing of mine into the game to be converted into a bathroom. Only half the furniture got uploaded and there were people in the drawing so one of their faces ended up on the face of a grandfather clock and the knobs of the dressers. I took a picture of that to post in the blooper pics thread. Then I tried to find one of my cheap cc toilets but couldn't.
I called my mom into the room to see the faces glitch but I couldn't zoom in on it properly. I eventually ended up getting completely lost in the ocean that surrounded the lot. Then I found a binoculars feature that was able to take me back to the "sims" part of the game, and find the lot easily. I then realized I had put the lot right on top of where a King Taijitu lived. (A giant two-headed snake from the show RWBY--definitely scary, but they don't live in the ocean.)
I was just able to show my mom all the faces before I woke up.

Sunbee 7th Sep 2019 1:36 AM

My second kid has been taking driver's ed, and so for some reason my sleeping brain stuck me in Widespot, trying to parent the Land kids.

I just want y'all to know, it's a good thing sims teens don't have to take driver's ed, because Dixie Land would give y'all gray hairs!

Bulbizarre 8th Jan 2020 3:15 AM

I had an utterly baffling dream in which the Sims 2 was apparently wiped from existence except for the one copy on my computer. Attempting to search it online brought up literally nothing, and nobody I talked to knew what I was talking about.

More of a nightmare, really.

Peni Griffin 12th Aug 2020 1:19 AM

I had a bad dream during my midmorning nap (my schedule was screwed up even before quarantine, which screwed it so tight it shattered all over the landscape). I was playing sims and had just moved a lot of new University graduates into a communal residence downtown. They were doing random interacting, what's thising, and two of them managed to get instruments out into the middle of the street and started jamming, when suddenly I lost control of everything and I got a pop up in the corner telling me my free playtime had expired and click for instructions on how to keep playing, and I'm all "WTF? How is this - I OWN THIS GAME, I've played for years -!"

Fortunately I woke up before anyone started a kitchen fire or anything.

TadOlson 12th Aug 2020 4:06 AM

I had a nightmare about having to play without my Mods and hacks and a huge brawl broke out on a community lot in my BACC because I had not option to conrtrol the viistors to that lot anymore in the nightmare and an apartment spawned NPC neighbors who got into fights with each other and I rememebered that that nightmare used to be my real game in the past on my old computer before I started with Mods and hacks.

raise20puppiesorkittens 19th Aug 2020 1:32 AM

I had a dream last night where I opened my household with 9 children and they were all aged to child+ and looked EXACTLY the same.
First Born Syndrome is haunting me

AndrewGloria 21st Mar 2024 1:06 AM

I just had a rather nasty little dream. A daydream perhaps as I wasn't in bed -- I was sleeping in a chair in my kitchen, where I had just let the potatoes boil dry, and I was wondering how I could retrieve the situation. Since my recent fall, I've been sleeping badly because of the pain, so I'm sleeping more in the chair than in bed. Anyway I fell asleep and started to dream . . .

Andrew was at a swimming pool. He was squatting at the end of a diving board, and seemed to be going to do some sort of fancy dive. Unlike me, he has high body skill, and is usually very good at that sort of thing, But then the diving board malfunctioned, and flipped him into the water. As it did so it seemed to leave him winded or knocked out, so he didn't seem to be conscious. Then I realised he was floating on some sort of mat in the water, so he seemed safe. But then I saw that the mat was slowly soaking up water and becoming waterlogged. There didn't seem to be anything I could think of to do to help him. And then I woke up, and realised, with much relief that it was just a dream. Often when I dream about Sims, they're 3 dimensional people and I'm in the game with them. But this time he was very much a Sim on a screen, so I couldn't reach in and touch him.

Anyway I'm very much relieved that it was only a dream, and I woke up. I don't think I could cope with Andrew drowning; that boy means too much to me.
