On-topic: It's really hard for me to choose. Dog vs cat? I had a cat and about 2 dogs over the years. Now I have my 3rd dog (I'll even look for good pics as proof!), so I'll go with dogs on this one.

I vote cats. I have one cat called Pippa and she is lovely. My only niggle is that she has figured out that if she scratches at the babies door she wakes the baby up which results in me getting up. The babies door is being guarded by chatting giraffes.

I can't stand dogs which is difficult because I live with one.
