when i was a few years younger 2 kids (twins) a boy and a girl where aging, they turned into teens but their body was still a child.
i didn't save it up most of the times because of hungry's energy and all were too low (red) and even though if they turned green i just searched their own house by clicking on the computer (on the sims 2 of course) and then makes them come back most of the times and it turned out they had a lot of money after i did that most of the times xD

but then i kept with a question: WHY ARE BOTH (a boy and a girl) OF THE TEENAGE SIM STILL A CHILD? (if you get what i meant) they do everything as a teenager like usual but their body is still a child. now that i look back at it, it makes me wanna laugh because it's so funny to think back at it xD

(the twins kept fighting because they didn't grow up in a good way and i kept asking myself when they are about to stop attacking at each other xD)

and when the sims start up and they won't load or load slowly because of the download i say something like this: UGH CAN YOU HURRY THE F*CK UP?? I DON'T HAVE ALL THE TIME,
I NEED A LOT TO DOWNLOAD OTHER STUFF ALRIGHT, I NEEDS TO TEST IF THE CC'S STUFF IS WORKING PROPERLY OR NOT SO I CAN CONTINUE DOWNLOAD OTHER STUFF.

and if my sims freeze and quit this game i say something like this: UGH WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME??? WHY DOES THIS STUFF KEEPS HAPPENING TO ME OF ALL PEOPLE??
I SHOULD CHECK A BIT MORE BEFORE DOWNLOAD OTHER STUFF I HATE MYSELF FOR THIS (with a anger voice) xD

@Sailorleontine6 - you're new here, so you should know that multi-posting is against the rules. Instead edit your posts.

I always install stuff in batches for this reason. And I always start the game some time before I actually want to play it. (Once my loading time came to an hour. You can get a surprising amount of reading done in an hour.)

StrangeTownChick 11th Oct 2017 7:50 PM

To be fair, I still can't figure out how to edit a reply or multiple replies into one post.

Peni Griffin 11th Oct 2017 7:50 PM

Copy/paste works for me.

Voeille 11th Oct 2017 8:00 PM

You need [quote]someone’s post here[/quote] tags. You can just click reply and copy all the posts into notepad, or write tags manually in the quick reply window and copy posts directly from the thread page, and then paste them into the tags. It would be less convenient as you’d have to manually add all the formatting and emoticons that were in the original posts, and for editing you’d have to have the thread open in a separate tab to be able to copy posts.

Bulbizarre 11th Oct 2017 8:07 PM

I just middle-click all the reply buttons to open them in new tabs and then copy/paste them into one post.

@sailorleontine6 I realize you are someone who doesn't post much, and I have done the same thing back when I didn't post here much several years ago but could you please edit one of your posts and put all the information into one, and delete the others please as double posting isn't allowed. If you don't know how, I would be happy to do it for you, just let me know just put @ in front of my user name like I did yours.

The freakin' cockatiel ate 40 simoleons worth of food before it was satisfied.

"No, don't start writing in your diary. Go to work!"

The guy had just a few minutes before needing to head off to work, but he didn't want to stand and wait.

As someone who owns two cockatiels, I have to say that it's not very far from reality But aren't you confusing them with cockatoos? Cockatiels are a lot smaller than the birds you can put in the cage.
By the way, there's a mod for the diary thing. I think it was by Cyjon or Twojeffs.

TwoJeffs has a "No Autonomous Diary" mod here: http://www.simbology.com/smf/index.php?topic=11.0

Whew, I think I found the culprit. Apparently anyLTWforallaspirations also means that you can get adult lifetime wants for children. XD

I've had that too, and I've posted about it recently in the Stupid/Random Questions thread. It's still the child's own LTW, not somebody else's, so apparently it's nothing to worry about.

"Naomi, why are you not- oh route failure... okay, I'll move that."
"Naomi, why are you- ...another route failure. Okay..."
"Naomi, why- Goddammit, another one?! Really?! Did I decorate this at 3am or something?"
"Naomi, wh- *sigh* You're really making me look like a bad here."

A few moments after all the route failures are fixed:
"Naomi, for goodness sake. Why will you not clean that up?!"
My mum in the background: "Will you stop nagging that poor sim?"

"Where the heck did Jared go? Naomi I know you're tired, but please shut up. I've lost your brother."

This round is just me nagging Naomi because she's annoying as hell, but also cute.

"Owww, quit touching me there!"

For the lady Sims with Gerri Lawlor's voice, they'll sometimes say "Ow!" when poked. That is my sarcastic response to the unpleasant situation, especially when I mimic how they say "Ow".

sailorplanet97 14th Oct 2017 12:17 AM

back to when i was younger i didn't knew how to put everything on green (idk how it's called) i Always let most of the sims leave at the house, and i EXACTLY meant move out (ignore my poor english xD) expect 1 sim and so i made all of the sims come back and most of the things are green again (hungry, energy fun and so forth) and so i let the other sim move out who was alone at the house
and that sim was moving out and i made a sim move in again. nothing went wrong but one day i couldn't save something up after the moving out and the moving in thing i did all the time
but i never got any attentions to the money till i find out later but it turned out the sims became richer with all the moves in and out stuff (there was Always an adult sim who was in the house)
so it has anything to do with a lot of money why i couldn't save things up and i Always kept with a question why i couldn't save things up one day anymore i'm laughing so hard at that part when i'm thinking about it again xD (sometimes i didn't save things up because of the social worker who took the kids most of the times because of social and hungry so sometimes i did it on purpose)
now i know you can makes everything green by the cheat called maxmotives but back to when i just started the sims i didn't knew how the cheat was called.
the 2 adults (a male and a female) has 6 kids so it was hard to take care of them all.
and like i said earlier because of i didn't save some things up a couple of times the 2 kids (twins) were aging, they turned into a teenagers, they do everything as a teenager but their body's where still a child, don't ask how come though xD. (i know it looks like hack kids if you ask me lol)

THROW UP FOR ME!!!!!!

(Story here for those who are wondering: http://modthesims.info/showthread.p...855#post5284855)

(TLDR: Testing why toddlers' fears of vomiting were never satisfied in my game; forced parents to continuously toss their kids in the air. None of this was saved so the toddlers are fine.)

grammapat 14th Oct 2017 11:13 PM

eduseo: your comment about route fails reminds me of some very frustrating ones I've had, where I start imagine what the sims are thinking:
YOU are the one who wanted to slow dance, so why did you go outside, all around the house, just to stand exactly right outside the wall where you were standing in a perfectly large room? "You kept watching us"
Why are you carrying dirty dishes across the house and upstairs to wash them in a washbasin when you have a dish washer AND a sink right in the kitchen where you picked the dishes up?! "Mary was standing in front of the dishwasher trying to get kissed, and I didn't want to bother her. Besides the basin upstairs has flowers and is in a pretty bathroom". Well, I guess that's better than walking past trash cans to throw them away at the street trash, like plates are never put away but just appear magically.

ieta_cassiopeia 15th Oct 2017 11:59 PM

"What do you mean, you don't like the routing on my brand-new community lot, Miss Forella Boninsegna? How..."

*notices that, having swum through one rather snaky bit of swimming pool and climbed out, she was having trouble getting to the diving board for the second snake part of swimming pool, that was needed to reach the main part of the lot. It's supposed to tire the Sims out, but it's not supposed to be impossible for them to navigate*

"...actually you have a good point. Thank you for being a sensible Sim, I will get this fixed for you. Thankfully I changed my mind about making the entrance a splash slide at the last minute" (I'd eventually opted for steps, just before saving the lot for the last time before testing, so Forella could swim back and get a taxi home in the regular fashion, rather than an undignified exit-without-saving. (She's the sort of Sim would would care about things being done in an undignified way).

Orilon 16th Oct 2017 12:31 AM

"Not such an arranged marriage, huh?"
The alien thread gave me an idea to make a pair of alien Sims with alien skin, alien eyes, and alien make up and put them into a dorm. The idea had been that they were forced into an arrange marriage because their kind was dying off, but since the race valued education, they were supposed to finish college first before marrying. I moved them into a dorm, but they ended up having three bolts. The Family Sim kept autonomously flirting, hugging and kissing the Knowledge Sim through ACR actions, and fell in love with him after class. She rolled the want to get married to him after they finished with their final of of their first freshman semester.

and so there's a lot of other stuff what i was saying to the sims 2.
like that one time when a sims girl go out with her boyfriend behind her parents back.
the kid came back expect there was a police knocking at her parents door, and her parents got really mad when the police leaves the house.
i was like: OH NO WHY DID THE KID GET CAUGHT BY THE POLICE, WHY NOT CAME BACK WITHOUT GETTING CAUGHT BY THE POLICE, I HATE THIS
i got really mad even though it's just a game

"Calm down, lady! I know you want your son to do well and all, but this is a bit ridiculous."

Sketching 19th Oct 2017 7:57 AM

"I have trained you well. A little too well."

Popularity sim Lysander constantly rolled wants for and autonomously interacted with his girlfriend, Helena, and after he proposed to her (a want he refused to let go even though I never locked it for 6 rotations!), his wants panel exploded with wants for her, including marriage. When they got married, the marriage rolled into "Have a baby" and he's still head over heels for her (I initially typed heals, what the heck, too much RPGs). He barely rolls wants for friends now even though I fulfill them whenever they pop up.

And then there's Helena, a Family sim who's more enamored with skill-building. She did want to get engaged to him but after I fulfilled the want, she only wanted woohoo and more skill wants. It took several community visits and dates for her to want to get married to him. I held off on the woohoo until marriage for storyline purposes (like the original Helena from A Midsummer Night's Dream) but she made it difficult to get to that point! She doesn't even want kids now so oh, well.

agusb 19th Oct 2017 8:13 AM

Made a couple who looked like my sister and her boyfriend, they had twins, they were terrible kids. My sister played them and told me "if this is a vision of the future I will never have kids!". one day the social assistant took one of them for being terrible with the school issue while we just sadly and astonished stared and cried "noooooo! b**ch!!! would somebody do something??? She's kidnapping our kid!!".
we never knew we were gonna miss that much that little piece of hell. Some days passed and a gay couple of aliens wanted to adopt a child, and guess... my niece went back to the neighborhood as their son.

"Why are you swooning over somebody who's currently not here?"

Just now one of my Sim's lovers wooed over both her and another woman's charm, the latter of which is nowhere within the lot. Did I just experience a little corruption or was it only a glitch?

Sketching 20th Oct 2017 8:06 AM

I get sims heart-farting in their sleep. It's usually reliving a "memory" or gossip about someone's hotness.

For goodness' sake, they even heart-fart people they never met or ghosts who are actively trying to kill them.

There are times in which a Sim will be continuously smiling like they're passing gas, and it often looks stupid at times they do certain interactions like kissing or singing. Unless they are skilled at singing through their nostrils, I wouldn't recommend such humiliation.

Sometimes I find it amusing the second that smirk is wiped from their faces and their expression ends up looking more absurd as part of a normal reaction. Imagine a Sim suddenly changing their countenance in the middle of a whistling animation, either from swooning or the 'wolf whistle' flirt.
There's a mod for that. It works, I believe I got it here, but for the life of me, I don't remember who wrote it.

There are two ways to deal with "stuck dance face".

1. Use Pescado's lot debugger (batbox). Select the sim with the stuck face and click Fix > Stupid Expressions.

2. That can get real old real fast, so I recommend you get Neder's No More "Dance Face". This changes the "dance face" to a smile and automatically clears the sims' expressions when they're finished dancing.

Ooo, thanks for reminding me of that mod. I know I had something like that but couldn't put my finger on when the "dance face" happens, since I've had the mod so long I've forgotten about it.

That's what I like about these mod fixes. You download them, install them, then forget your woes.

Sometimes the Sims will have the stuck smile when they're doing things like watching the Sports channel, playing poker, or after goosing somebody. The result of that last interaction occurs longer, almost indefinitely until I use the batbox.

Guess I'll just adapt to the fact my Sims will occasionally have a toothy smile like they are always so happy-go-lucky.

I moved a couple of Sims into a house and had stopped playing for awhile. I fired up the game tonight, and realized that I had forgotten to put in a fire alarm. I immediately bought one and put it over the stove. I'm glad I noticed that now, instead of wondering why the fire alarm wasn't sounding if there was a fire (Tricia and Danie don't have high cooking skill, so there probably is a high possibility of a fire.)

Charity 29th Oct 2017 3:18 PM

The only things you can install while playing are lots and if they have CC in them then you'll need to restart the game for it to show up.

Peni Griffin 29th Oct 2017 3:25 PM

Merely downloading something in another browser did not cause your game to crash, SailorLeontine. That was a coincidence.

I don't think it's a good idea to divide your attention that way, from a gameplay standpoint, but that part's not really my business. And it's a waste of time and will probably slow your game down to install CC while your game is running, since as Charity says you won't be able to use it till you've quit and loaded the game again.

Sketching 29th Oct 2017 3:26 PM

You can download CC while playing though, if you do it in Windowed mode; I've never tried it in full screen mode. Like Charity said, it won't appear unless you restart the game, and I don't know how it works if you try to download it directly into the Sims 2 folders since I download the CC into a separate drive.

Bulbizarre 29th Oct 2017 3:28 PM

I've actually put hacks into my Downloads folder while the game is running. It doesn't actually load until the next launch, but I prefer to do it before I forget.

A blank error box occasionally comes up if I launch the game without removing the cache files first. It's an easy enough fix.

kamoodle5 29th Oct 2017 8:12 PM

I would personally go ahead and quit the game before sticking any new CC into my downloads folder. Sometimes the enthusiasm of downloading the CC will encourage me to stop playing and get it set up.

Bulbizarre 29th Oct 2017 9:42 PM

In my case, it's mostly just smaller hacks that I removed at some point and then decided to put back - one of them was No CAS Smiling, after forgetting to install it for the fifth time after exiting, I went screw it and just threw it in while the game was running.

i do know what i'm doing i just had that 1 time when i was younger and i'll make sure i quit te game before i download anything on the sims 2, i learned from that mistake,
but other than that i can't seems to remember that the CC's showed up while the game was just on and all but thanks for the reminding and before you ask i downloaded the stuff on the sims 2 folder not in some other folder

i Always quit the sims 2 game before i download the hacks or i get this feeling the sims 2 will crash or something and when i have an unsafe hack(s) who will crash your game, i Always makes sure i get everything on disable or whatever you called that just so you can delete an unsafe hack safely without even crashing (ignore my poor english though )

BTW i also delete 4 caches before i start up the game

"Knock it off with the bed, will you?"

One annoying thing about having two Sims with ACR active staying in an hotel is that they sometimes try to ACR Woohoo in other hotel rooms than the one they are checked into, and I repeatedly get messages on the top right of the screen about not being able to use hotel features until the Sims are checked into the room. They have a perfectly good bed in the room they are checked into, I don't see why they need to ACR woohoo in a bed in another room.

BTW, 4 caches for Sims 2? I know Sims 3 has 4 caches, but I've never seen 4 for Sims 2.

"Oh great, the game decided to freeze at the very moment that high-pitched sound blared. Shut up!"

This is related to the Paladin's robot that cleans up everything after Sims. It made that abduction sound at the very moment one of my Sims was making a phone call, and for a couple seconds the game lagged during the transition.

I'm awake now.

"Oh, so it can be done in game."
I was trying to figure out how to set a Sim's gender preference in game because I didn't want to exit the game to set it in SimPE. Thankfully I was able to set it through ACR.

I recently kept a toddler up skiling until her energy bar was red just to finish off a point...only to find it was charisma when she wanted creativity!

I use the sim blender for that. Except for ace sims; those I have to do in SimPE.

"Oh, you idiot."

Sim came to drop off a date gift, and blocked his only route off the porch. Now he's just sneaking back and forth repeatedly.

I had that happen once, when my Sim's date dropped off a 2x1 gift at the front porch that completely blocked his escape. I laughed it off and happily placed the item elsewhere.

I could be wrong but I think you can only pick up a date gift once the giver left the lot (at least I'm pretty sure it's this way for date flowers). Which in that case would be, well, never.
I headdesk every time Rod Humble manages to lock himself in with his free computer. But at least he's an NPC and can teleport off if it takes too long...

That's where moveobjects comes in handy.

kamoodle5 2nd Nov 2017 12:56 AM

Lately I accidentally moved someone's plumbbob or their skill meter with the moveobjects cheat. I remembered reading about it but I still scoffed at the predicament of finding either icon over an object.

Moveobjects is a god-send, no doubt. Maybe it works a little too well sometimes.

idk if the picture is up or not since i never done that here before but if not then that's the thing what i was saying while playing sims 2:

UGH WHY DO YOU WANNA HAVE EVEN MORE KIDS, YOU ALREADY HAVE 2 KIDS ON YOUR OWN SO WHY MORE KIDS?!?!
IT'S HARD TO TAKE CARE OF WOMAN
WHAT IF YOU CAN'T TAKE CARE OF 3 KIDS OR MORE WHEN IT'S ALREADY HARD TO TAKE CARE OF 2 KIDS
(twin boys)

(oh and ignore my bad quality since i made that picture from my mobile and ignore some dutch words on the sims 2 )

Bulbizarre 2nd Nov 2017 1:14 AM

Brandi Broke rolled a want to have 10 children, when she can barely manage the three she has. Sims aren't always the smartest.

Your Sim's Family aspiration. They like lots of kids.

If you don't want her to have more kids, why did you lock the want?

This is true. It's also true that sims don't always have to get everything they want.

I've done that too! Harrison Agnarsson is now a teen but there's still a skill bar from when he was a toddler hovering over his old dollhouse.

And something I've been saying a lot to his sister lately..."Ingrid for f**k's sake!"

Bulbizarre 2nd Nov 2017 3:01 AM

"I'm so sorry." - To my Sims when my hand tremours act up and their heads begin jerking around erratically in the pie menu.

kamoodle5 2nd Nov 2017 3:27 AM

"Mwa ha ha! The neighbor is gonna have to step on the cat's pee next time he has to come down or go upstairs."

I had my Sims' new cat pee next to a bush outside, and that puddle happens to be at the foot of a stairway that leads to someone's flat.

omg that's true that's why i was screaming to the sim
all of it are true actually

the reason why i lock that want is because you won't get confussed what i was talking about

kamoodle5 2nd Nov 2017 8:30 PM

Speaking of family Sims, I had a similar situation where my Livingoodt family immediately wanted more kids after getting the twins. It was a hassle enough to raise those two simultaneously, and it will be hell if they pooped out another set of twins or more.

Bulbizarre 2nd Nov 2017 8:36 PM

Immediately following the birth of the Ottomas quads, Dora Ottomas rolled a want for more grandchildren. Even Samantha (family sim) rolled a fear of having another kid. What the hell, grandma?

Peni Griffin 2nd Nov 2017 8:47 PM

I read that want as an irrational impulse created by the endorphin high of the birth event. Not all the things we want are rational, or good for us, or things we'd actually enjoy if we got them.

Charity 3rd Nov 2017 2:49 AM

Haha, she's fine. Just more babies for her to spoil and then give back to their parents.

Bulbizarre 3rd Nov 2017 4:07 AM

"What are you doing here?"

The penguin randomly decided to show up at a park in the middle of the summer.

kamoodle5 3rd Nov 2017 5:29 AM

"Oh, the cat just clogged the toilet again!"

This was not too recent, but I remembered saying this once on a teamspeak channel which I visit occasionally. One of my friends there chimed in and wondered how the heck could a cat clog a toilet. Apparently in Sims 2 it's indeed possible.

Bulbizarre 3rd Nov 2017 5:38 AM

"GEOFF, MELODY, WHAT THE HELL?"

Geoff Rutherford (30 days old) and Melody Tinker (17 days old) decided to autonomously woohoo in a hot tub. I was so disturbed by this that I immediately quit without saving and set them to friend-zone the moment I reloaded. Furthermore, Melody Tinker had a locked want to go steady with Geoff's nephew!

Free tasting of an older model before settling on the actual product?

Rosawyn 3rd Nov 2017 6:40 AM

It's things like that that remind me why I'm so glad woohoo is never autonomous in my game.

I find that ACR is a whole lot tamer than other mods though.

danklet 3rd Nov 2017 4:46 PM

idk if im allowed to say this and i might get banned but ive said "i want to eat his ass" at least 50 times in the 5 months that ive been playing ts2. ik thats a short amount of time but whatever lmfao

HonokaAizawa 4th Nov 2017 10:46 AM

Well, it was not while playing Sims 2 but when I started Origin: "What? Why is there an update for Sims 2!?"

Then I searched for the reason for updating: "Finally SuckyRom disappears..."

And finally: "NOOOOOOOOOOOO, now I have to download so much again!!!" T_T

kamoodle5 6th Nov 2017 1:41 AM

"Can you guys go woohoo or something? You're driving me nuts with your water balloon game."

A moment later...

"Why the hell are you two woohooing in here?! Leave us alone!"

That's what I get for trying to tell Sims to make out.

Emerald1234 6th Nov 2017 11:55 AM

"stop woohooing and go to work!"

"well this child will have some serious issues in the future"

sailorplanet97 6th Nov 2017 8:59 PM

WOMAN ARE YOU DRUNK OR SOMETHING, YOU DANCE LIKE AN DRUNKARD GO DO SOMETHING ELSE INSTEAD OF DANCING LIKE A FREAK

Hmm, wonder what you have to do to get your all caps lock post automatically edited. The plot thickens.

Bulbizarre 7th Nov 2017 2:44 AM

I think it's on account of the : Pint : being not all caps.

It's interpretive dance, portraying the concept of alcoholism and the effect it has on families. Very moving, very intellectual.

The word is "alcoholic". You can also try the word "drunkard".

"You're not a Romance sim! Stop rolling all these stupid wants to woohoo in bed! You don't even care who it's with? Seriously??"
