Wait, where do I get this improved genetics mod? It sounds like exactly what I've been looking/wishing for.
|
It’s one of the files in the SFS folder with unpublished mods.
|
is there anywhere I can find a description of what it does, specifically?

Look at the sim cave link, it has a giff showing the new eye brow movement.

@Rosawyn more info here.

Oh no! That improved genetics mod conflicts with creaturefixes...

You aren't talking about the new sliders, are you?
|
No, there's a mod in that list that changes which eye and hair colors are dominant and which are recessive. I'm going to pass on that too. I don't want to give up my creaturefixes either.

I use both of these and have creature fixes and don't have any issues. I have mine set so that all hair and eyes are equal as I like that it's more of a 50/50. |
But guys... Did you actually read what is written on that page?

So you can have both improved genetics and creaturefixes, just make the genetics mod load after it. |
Wow, I really like most of the logic in that genetics mod, but why would green eyes be more dominant than blue and grey?? That's not how it works irl at all!
![]() Edit: Well, it says "you don’t need to delete it in most cases," and I'd like to know what "in most cases" actually means! But honestly, that dominant green eyes thing is enough all on its own for me to not bother with this. |

Yay! updated skydomes for skyfix 2.1 (for testing it says) :lovestruc :lovestruc

Um...okay then. I'm sure I'd read somewhere that green eyes were far less common irl than blue eyes, so I'm not sure how that makes any sense, if that stuff about them being more genetically dominant is true. And neither of those explanations includes any reference whatsoever to grey eyes, which of course also exist. |
Yes it’s true that green eyes are the least common, but it’s not because of them being the most recessive, it just happens to be like that. Maybe green eyed people happened to have children with brown eyed people most of the time and the green eyes gene didn’t get a chance to become common?

Again, I guess it really depends on how you define "lighter" and "darker." |
