It's amazing how many things we believed were impossible are being made for this game.

I know -

Well, hell, now I don't know which sliders to go with. I already have some which I've had for two or three years, so I wondered what the fuss was about as if it was a new thing, but I do like some of the new features.

velvetina 14th Apr 2017 6:23 AM

If by "some" you mean the "body shop sliders in CAS" mod, those ones were already in the game, the mod only made them show up in CAS, because they were hidden in there. These ones are completely custom, hence the fuss, because it IS a new thing, and something everyone thought it wasn't possible.

HonokaAizawa 14th Apr 2017 5:37 PM

Well, even though we just got some awesome sliders recently by Nopke, here are new ones by Digital Angels and Memento-Sims!

I don't know if any new sliders beside the ones listed here have been made (at least until I share my next batch :P), but here are two blogs which catalogue them:

So can you have "Bodyshop...in CAS" as well as the custom ones or is it best to remove them? The hard part will be deciding which ones to go with.

From the download page:

The sliders themselves won't conflict with anything, but their icons use a Maxis group, so slider creators have to be careful while setting instances for icons.
So, you can have any amount of sliders in your game. If you want, put every one of them and remove the ones you don't like, nothing happens if you create a sim with the custom sliders and then you remove them, because a sim's file doesn't keep track of the sliders used.

Thanks velvetina. (Now goes on another download spree)

I wonder how the stair wall fix works. I already have windows buy ij, that does the same.

Yeah I like those stair 'windows' too - very flexible. I have a feeling the Veranka ones work in a similar way.

HugeLunatic 16th Apr 2017 10:16 PM

They give the credit to jrw, so probably works the saem

gummilutt 16th Apr 2017 11:16 PM

Perhaps one of you could explain a little more what it is exactly and how it works? Looks interesting but I don't think I get it. Stair windows? Is it like windows with no seams that make the upper part of the wall invisible or something?

LFact 16th Apr 2017 11:20 PM

Put a block under your stair: http://sims2meshes.blogspot.kr/2014...esh-slaved.html

It's kind of a very genius idea in fact. These are invisible windows, with only the bottom trim showing. They are made like triangle?..and sits at the proper height for each wall section, according to the modular stair's height..(am I even making sense?)
So you go ahead and build your modular stairs. then you add a wall alongside it. You then place the windows, one by one..and that makes the part above the stairs disappear..
Ok..I am so bad at this, take a look here.

Thank you Rosebine. I have these somehow and never knew how to use them. Yay!

gummilutt 17th Apr 2017 12:02 AM

You are making perfect sense. Thanks Rosebine, I get it now. That does indeed sound excellent. Will have to download when I get back home

Doesn't have to be a modular stair either - works just as well with regular stairs.
