I changed the front up a bit and moved the master suite wing over making it more symmetrical! Looks better I think.
Like I said i took cues from "Rosecliff" and this floor plan from Archival Designs: http://www.archivaldesigns.com/home...bury-house-plan |
Damn, I can't wait to get my pc running again and stop having a reallife

Hmmm... Real life...
![]() Well I've been working on a few Californian homes, the first is a recreation and restoration of a house I've fallen for in Auburn, CA, ![]() The second is a loose recreation of the Grace Sharp House of Santa Paula, CA, as seen in 'How to Make an American Quilt' and one of the Amityville Horror sequels. ![]() The third is of my own imagination. ![]() None of them have much in the way of an interior yet, but I hope they will one day soon, although that probably wont be till after I've finished my Uni dissertation. ![]() |
All three are fantastic! Love the detail and colors!
|
I much prefer the last one. The white rails lifts it's spirit a bit. It can be a bit gloomy with just the yellow, but I tend to find a lot of things gloomy.
The red on the windows are lovely. |
Whew. I only have to buy a new harddisk.

Who remembers the chateau I was building a while back??? I no longer desire to work on it and plus my laptop does not have the power to finish such a huge build! So if any of you wants to finish it be my guest!
I will be deleting this in a coupe days if someone decides they want it! |

Good idea TudorMan, maybe whoever downloads it will post pictures of what they've done to it?
I went back and altered the white victorian to make it look more like the house that inspired it. I finally managed to squeeze another level out of it for the tower. ![]() ![]() |
I hope so Fergus cause I don't want to see that house go to waste!
And there we go, That is much better looking now! The only thing I would do is replace the windows that look more like the ones on your inspiration house! |

And I started this little gem tonight! Based on this house plan with a few modifications:
http://www.houseplans.com/plan/3020...s-2-garage-5704 This is my favorite style of architecture as well and English Tudor Revival! Its not quite as big as my Victorian or Colonial revival but it will be just as grand! |
I rather like how you've altered the exterior from the original, it now looks friendlier somehow. Any ideas of how you want the interior to look?
|
I'm finished with interior. I'll upload pics later. In fact I'm almost done with it and ready to upload.

Lol, unlike me at the moment with my uni work, I'm pretty sure the moderators have flourishing social lives that mean they're not bound to a computer all day working and procrastinating online/playing the sims intermittently... ![]() Waiting for them can be annoying at times, but you must have patience. I've heard it can be quite a virtue in this day and age... ![]() ![]() One thing I have just noticed is that you forgot to cover fully one of the gable walls, so it might be an idea to get and fix it, just in case you get a "Changes Required" message from the moderator?: ![]() |
Yes, I know i am trying to be patient! And oops! I noticed that a couple days ago! haha

While I am waiting I started this beauty yesterday! A Second Empire Victorian row house with courtyard! What do you guys think? I'm not quite sure about the exterior tho

Before I'd even read the text, I saw the pictures and my first thought was Pennsylvania row house! Maybe you could shave two tiles off of the width by reducing the width of the bay window by one tile on each side? (So that the section with the bay window is only 6 tiles wide rather than the 8 tiles wide it is at the moment) Other than that it looks great. ![]() |
Yes, that is true! It is kinda wide huh?

But seeing as your creation isn't part of a row, the width isn't so much of an issue, although I think maybe shrinking that bay window so that the diagonals are only 1 tile wide on each side would really make your facade 'pop'. I really like the landscaping scheme you've started for it though. :lovestruc |
