which is why I have a mod that stops that dialog. And even more for: got fired, dog ran away, husband cheated, parent died, but "I've had a wonderful week".

"Please stop clicking outside the window!"

-Me after turning my game on windowed mode for a day. Got tired of hitting my Windows button to go to Google whenever I played and windowed mode was so much better for that. I switched back to full screen mode after I found out I can't edge scroll . Guess I gotta listen to my music on my phone now

Rosebine 15th Mar 2019 3:09 AM

Exactly why I cannot enjoy windowed mode. No edge scrolling.

I've played in windowed mode for years and I honestly forgot about edge scroll a long time ago. If I want to move around the map, I always right-click + drag and it works just fine for me.

I did that too while it was windowed, but it was too huge of an adjustment for my lazy fingers to do . But I'll still use windowed mode if I need to switch between things quickly instead of exiting out the game completely and then booting it up again, it's a time saver

Not really that much for Sim week...

Can be accomplished in a Sim day really: Graduate, move the Sim into a house, adopt a dog, invite a Sim over your current Sim already has a relationship with, get engaged, get married, have them "try for baby" and then they can have breakfast and wait for the "welcome wagon"

I would have got as far as getting engaged and then left them to be engaged for a while lol.

"Stop laughing at the kitchen cabinets!"

Sims! You decorate their house up nicely and then this is how they show gratitude. This is why my best houses never have a Sim darken their doors. They don't deserve it!

Mrmo 23rd Mar 2019 10:06 PM

Not so much a thing I said but more of a thing I did...

I did play a male sime and he was talking to a female sim who he knows a little (they live in the same apartment block). The female accepted a friendly hug but when I wanted them to go futher she refused (red minus signs). So I dived into his pie meny in a serch for a way for him to apologize. Me: I know it must be here somewhere but where? Where? Whe..wait a minute...Sims can regret things they say and do but that's in Sims 3. And this is Sims 2! (massive facepalm).

AndrewGloria 24th Mar 2019 1:54 AM

There is an Apologise interaction in The Sims 2, but it's not always available. I think it's only available when the Sim thinks that he/she has something to apologise for. If I recall correctly it comes under Appreciate.

Keysmash 24th Mar 2019 8:05 AM

They can apologize when another sim is furious at them, not necessarily when they've done something wrong.
An example:
Sim A catches Sim B cheating, slapping ensues. Sim A had studied Anger Management, so is not furious. Sim B is furious from being slapped. Sim A can then apologize, even though they were cheated on. (Based on true events )

You might be right, I just have not seen it so much in TS2 . In TS3 sims can apologize for a lot of different things (and the sims in that game seems to get upset over a lot of things that TS2 sims don't even care about ).

Orphalesion 24th Mar 2019 1:22 PM

"Rika Yasuda, why aren't you in school?! I swear, you Sims can't do a single thing right without my hel.....Oh it's Saturday...nevermind."

Sims: *stumps and yell about me deleting the TV, while it was on.*
Me: "Ah shut up and go to bed. If you guys didn't keep turning on while others were sleeping, I would've got rid it."

This fixes apologies, so that the sim that cheated is the one that gets the chance to apologise. http://modthesims.info/d/115412/apo...-5-31-2006.html

To the widow Christy Wilkie after I glanced at her fears: "Be old and never married?? Woman, you have four boys courtesy of your late husband, what the heck are you on about?" I have a feeling my using Fix Dead Romances on the Batbox might be the culprit for this sudden thought. Really, if she wants to remarry, she has someone lined up! All she had to do was roll some wants to date him or bring him around :P

Yeah...Sim A is definitely not furious. Slapping is something you do, when you are happy. lol

Anger Management.

Reduces the chance of becoming furious with another Sim. When Sims with this skill do get furious, they may get over it faster, and the relationship damage is less.

Rosebine 25th Mar 2019 6:43 AM

I got the point. But admit that is was a funny way to put it...

I've had this in the vanilla game. It seems to pop up if a Family Sim isn't married at a certain age, regardless of whether they've been married.

zystem 1st Apr 2019 3:36 AM

1. I've been saying this one a lot lately. "You are not having another [explicit] baby"
2. "We need to get him a boyfriend."
3. "(Shouting) Why, Why- Why are they naked"
4. I have the autonomous romance mod and any time my sims do anything naked, I just kinda screech. Don't know why, I know what I'm getting into.
5. "Shut UP"

"Move, cat...Woudja move!....No, for once I wasn't talking to you."
The Centowskis' cat Missy was in the way of the fridge. I realized I say the same thing to my RL cat all the time, so I felt like I had to clarify to her that it was the sim cat who was misbehaving--this time.

yavannatw 22nd Apr 2019 4:44 AM

"Ok, I need that mod" (only bathe toddlers with low hygiene) as the grandmother took away a toddler who was about to be put in the crib by another adult (toddler was in the red zone) to give her a bath she didn't need!
This sentence was, of course, preceded by expletives.

RoxEllen1965 22nd Apr 2019 10:58 AM

"Olivia, don't be so dramatic."
Two hours after getting engaged to Don Platz, Olivia rolled a fear of being left at the altar. Honey, he's as madly in love with you as you are with him. And that has literally never happened in my game. Don't worry.

Crap. Well, that could make an interesting story anyway. Especially if they have a baby while she's still in college.

1. Attacking another sim requires the zombie to do an Attack > Fight social interaction. The only social interaction that can be done to a sim in a swimming pool is to play Marco Polo with them (I forget whether this came with Seasons or BV). So, if a sim successfully manages to get into the pool, the zombie will be able to play Marco Polo with that sim, but not attack them. The living sim will be fine until/unless they leave the pool due to getting hungry, tired, etc.

2. Even the flimsiest garden gate can be locked against all sims. Remove the gate completely and only teleportation will get you into the house. Just surround your house with a cheap picket fence and remove the gate and you have an impenetrable fortress.

3. It's hard to keep other sims, attacking zombies, etc. out during a party because the party controller can be extremely aggressive about grabbing random walkbys and NPCs and dragging them into the lot to be party guests. I once had a morning wedding party (Meadow Creek) and the party controller dragged in the newsie, the mail carrier, all three members of the welcoming committee and at least one passing townie to add to the guest list. At Johnny Smith's graduation party, I didn't think to lock the gate until after I noticed the zombies in the welcoming committee. By then, the party controller had already seen them and grabbed them and locking the gate and front door did nothing to keep them out. What the party controller sees, the party controller seizes! Mwahahaha!

EDIT: My very first post here at MTS was about the party controller at the Summerdream house in Veronaville grabbing two spectral servants and forcing them to attend Oberon and Titania's wedding.

Some pictures from the Meadow Creek wedding showing the newsie enjoying some wedding cake, a very unhappy townie that was pulled in, and the welcoming committee being grabbed.

I laughed so much now - never had anybody pulled into any party, except Goopy - who is always welcome anywhere -

Orphalesion 1st May 2019 12:11 PM

I never had it happen with the mail or the paper deliverers. But the Welcome Wagon does frequently get roped into "Fresh out of College" wedding.
It's kinda weird really "So we say that you just moved in and that you are having a wedding. We might not be dressed for this private occasion, but we're gonna join you anyway, because we like eating form a buffet. :D"

Mischief Managed 1st May 2019 1:16 PM

While Playing The Weasleys: "Why are all eight of you trying to empty the garbage disposal, stop that!" There was a literal line of sims trying to take out the garbage

"OK obviously when playing 8+ I need a bathroom on each floor" Trying to get all the boys to school did not go so well

"Stop cleaning the ---- windows!" they all developed a window obsession

"Stop taking the baby out of the crib that's why she's so tired!" The baby's energy bar dropped but every time it started to go back up, someone would take her out of the crib.

I've probably said this one already but it happens so often and annoys me so much, gotta get it out of my system somehow!!

ACR kicks in.

After I've built and decorated yet another dreamy house that I would love to live in:

"Yep. I haven't lived my life right, at all." 😂

Orilon 16th May 2019 11:24 PM

"Ok then, that tells me that ACR is working."

I recently started playing Sims 2 again, and ACR seemed to not be working, until a single Plantsim I made booty called a townie she has a bolt with. Lily didn't have a great relationship with the townie so I didn't have her pursue it, but apparently she thinks its good enough to booty call the townie.

BlueAlien 18th May 2019 11:34 PM

"No, you can't have a bird cage. You've already got a womrat cage you've never used."

Poor Edwin, he's a high school teacher and I'm still treating him like a child.

Peni Griffin 19th May 2019 1:17 AM

They can't autonomously stock the pet cages, you know.

BlueAlien 19th May 2019 8:00 PM

I know, but usually they roll a want to "play with womrat" once they've got the cage, and I stock it for them then. Edwin has shown no interest in actually having a womrat whatsoever.

RoxEllen1965 25th May 2019 10:51 PM

Toddler ages up to child. I check his relationship panel. He has almost non-existent relationships with his twin sister and older sister. Me: "What are you, an evil brat or something?"

I check his personality. He has one Nice point and nine points each in Active and Playful. Me: "Yes, I guess you are an evil brat, aren't you!"

Orilon 26th May 2019 12:53 AM

"Fuck no. That isn't happening."
For the Study or Die challenge I had created boy/girl twins and two unrelated female Sims and put them into a dorm.

The male twin made it until the second semester of his Sophomore year without a fatal scare (the ghosts had scared him but not to the point of death), as soon as I saw his portrait disappear on the left I said "Fuck no. That isn't happening." I exited without saving because I refused to let him die. I like him and want him to graduate and play him in Strange town.

I placed a community lot cemetery in Academe Le Tour and moved the three graves to the cemetery so they are no longer in the dorm.

cottoncandy1 27th May 2019 6:25 AM

"Move away from the dressing room, my sim can't get out! Okay, okay. I understand my Sims just woohoo-ed in a public place but I need everyone who is crowded around this area to MOVE!!" Two of my sims were on a date and each rolled a want for public woohoo.
I also was shouting at some sims who were doing the smustle outside in the snow and some were blocking the entrance to the house.

grammapat 27th May 2019 3:08 PM

Colleen Collensworth went to college, and I tried to put her in a dorm with possible future mates. She didn't like anyone...except old men! O. MY. GOD..you totally love Aaron Atkins?!! He not only is OLD, he's married to YOUR FATHER!! She was limited to "family" interactions, but he didn't SHOW as "family"...but she kept trying. OK, I'm not helping you; I hope you flunk out, stupid.

How can this party be a roof raiser? Everybody has just been standing around waiting for a toast.. Why did I allow champagne at the wedding? Note to self, stop doing that.

"Wait, what!? This is the wrong kind of appreciation, you idiot!"

Step-son and daughter of the remarried dad were fighting (again). Father influenced step-son to appreciate his newly step-sister.

If you're playing with adult mods this has to go wrong. Good thing I did save before this... accident

Bigsimsfan12 28th May 2019 11:15 PM

"Welp... that is very worrying" - I say, as my game does not open at all. No error message, nothing. *sigh*

Peni Griffin 28th May 2019 11:21 PM

You deleted your caches, right?

Bigsimsfan12 28th May 2019 11:26 PM

Deleted caches and restarted computer. That's my usual first port of call. Now we play the waiting game...

And just as I type this, the game started to load thanks Peni

Peni Griffin 29th May 2019 12:34 AM

You shouldn't have to restart the computer. Deleting the caches almost always works.

Bigsimsfan12 29th May 2019 1:13 AM

I always reset the computer if a program doesn't work. I figure it can't hurt - I have a habit of leaving it on for too long anyway.

"No! Go to school!" to a teen about to play a console game instead of making his way to the bus.
"What? You hate your grandfather because he beat you at a game?" (I was shocked at the relationship status putting the teen's grandfather in the red at -2, from a positive of 100)

venusking 14th Jun 2019 6:28 PM

To sim couple: Are you serious? You both want to have a baby? Has it escaped your attention that you have twin toddlers and your wife's two younger brothers live here? Where were you planning on putting the crib? In the bathroom?

natboopsie 14th Jun 2019 10:55 PM

Said periodically to myself in Buy/Build mode: "Nonono! Mouse, mouse, MOUSE!"

(Because in the other game I've just spent months playing while my simming machine wasn't with me, "Q" was the keyboard shortcut to rotate objects...not the one used to QUIT THE GAME, argh.)

Essa 19th Jun 2019 10:08 PM

"Crap!" when I found out that my firewoman was pregnant for the second time.
They already have quadruplets who currently are in summer camp (fortunately for me since two of them don't get along).
Since the mother is a twin and I play with the triplets and quads mod, I usually have to roll "random".
To be honest, I scrapped this rule this time because dealing with large families, once the kids are adults, is a pain when it comes to lack of money and work.

Freefalldreams 20th Jun 2019 9:32 PM

"What? Oh, I see. I hate that too." (I completely understand why a Sim threw a tantrum about the unexpected darkness when the power went out -- AGAIN -- while she was on the toilet in a windowless bathroom. That kind of situation would have likely had me screaming in outrage and/or terror too.)

"WHY NOW?" (Corrupted lot that froze instead of loading.)

grammapat 20th Jun 2019 10:40 PM

"DAMN DOG!" In a lot with 2 very special couples (both wives expecting) the dog had 3 puppies, I named them, and the game crashed. I tried this a few times. Then had a man move out with the dog, who had puppies that crashed game. Went back to man with dog, had him give to animal control. Moved man back home, where he adopted dog...now dog is not pregnant! I know that a pregnant animal remains pregnant when it goes through adoption...So I guess the puppies were real monsters....???

Funny...but no...too stupid. Too big...way too big...too old-fashioned...too fancy...stupid layout...too much water...this is a desert!" Trying to choose a replacement Greek house after the old one became a corrupted lot. Which eventually led to...
"Fine, nuclear shelter it is. It's better than grilled cheese or haram fantasy."

I visited Capp Manor to check how far the season right now is as it is always the first lot of a rotation, and saw that trophy husband Romeo rolled the fear of having another baby... But he is always the one who initiates woohoo thanks to ACR. He will survive the birth of his fourth child. :D

"How did you get into the damn basement?"
I got two notifications on Harrison's lot that Scott (his nephew who lived next door) was unhappy with the lack of sleeping arrangements and leaving. After the second one I looked around to figure out why he hadn't left yet, and found him in the basement of all places. There's no access to that basement--it's just a storage hole--so I haven't the faintest idea how he got down there. He's lucky I found him before he starved to death.

"Amazeballs. Might need to rename you Miracle."

(Cindy McClellan, from HBG's Meadow Creek, was unlucky enough to roll to die during her mandatory period of SimNation military service. Or not so unlucky, because after *11* rounds of Run With Scissors, she was totally fine.

I've never seen that happen before, and I admit I went all the way to 11 because I just couldn't believe her luck---after 8 or 9, I already might have quit-without-saving to keep her alive, even had she died from the scissors at that point!

Anyway, I'm putting those scissors in her inventory, so I'll always remember what happened. And nope, she's not dying. I guess she gets some kind of great skin-of-her-teeth frontline story---or maybe just a tale of "I would have been there too, but I stopped at the latrines first...")

My sim looked straight up at me and I can only imagine he was thinking: "Really? You named me Sirius when my last name is Curious? What were you thinking??"

"Drop it already Stella, she doesn't care!"

When Stella Terrano tried for the third time to engage another Sim lady in a discussion on health and (I presume) Earth-Sim anatomy. The other Sim lady has zero interest in that topic.

"She found him so gross, it put the idea of dating right out of her head."
Rebecca had wants to ask someone on a date and slow dance. I had her check out Brandon Lillard. She did the "he's so gross I'm gonna vomit" animation and immediately those wants rolled away.

(Checking a Teen Sim's LTW) Let's see when you grow up you want to be....(it's Having Woohoo with 20 different Sims) .....the town bicycle.

Disclaimer: I do not think there's anything wrong with having many one-night stands or changing partner frequently. It was just that I expected a career based LTW and found that instead

Gcgb53191 13th Jul 2019 1:52 AM

I hate the woohoo and dating related lifetime wants too.

Some sims at family reunions. "HEY! You are too closely related to do THAT!!"

StrangeTownChick 13th Jul 2019 3:58 AM

Oooooh, I had that happen recently, Gcgb. Two teens who were second cousins suddenly fell in love while at one's first cousin's wedding. I heard the hearts fly while they were out of view and said something like, "Who the HECK is falling in love HERE?!" When I got to their home lots they'd both rolled wants to go steady with each other. Now to me, second cousins is still too close since all of their parents' generation are super close like siblings so they'd be more like first cousins. One of them has gone off to college and the other has a few more days of teenhood so...we'll see where that goes.

"Why are YOU the one getting jealous? That's Daniel's wife. He's cheating on HER, not you."

I'm playing a Megahood and forgot to hire Kaylynn until about 2 PM on the 2nd day of the rotation. Daniel and Mary Sue woohooed while she was there and she storms in and slaps Daniel. Sigh. Mary Sue broke up with him too.

I've cursed at the game when certain things happen. I got so annoyed with the "have a party" want coming up I renamed (in my head, not in the game itself) "leave a fart." Whenever it comes up I click on it to get rid of it (which also gives the points - I have boolprop cheat in startup cheats" and say "OK, get rid of leave a fart."

Orphalesion 14th Jul 2019 1:51 PM

Well, he became a vampire, that's the sort of thing that's bound to affect their friendship...

When the "Sim X is no longer a family friend" notification appeared in relation to a Sim who had recently become a vampire.

Yesterday: WHAT, I ACCIDENTLY MAKED THE WOMAN PREGNANT WITH THE MAN SHE DON'T LOVE? OH DAMMIT I HAVE TO USE THE INSENIMATOR THING TO ABORT IT! (i used it with the boolprop code to accidetly maked the woman pregnant with the wrong man)

Today: WAIT WHAT? THE FEMALE SIM REFUSE TO MARRY HER SOON TO BE HUSBAND? OH DAMMIT I HAVE TO USE THE SIMS MODDER AFTER I TYPE boolprop testingcheatsenabled true OR ELSE THEY END UP BEING BE ENEMIES INSTEAD OF BEST FRIENDS (or well more then friends but you get what i mean)

i remember from years ago when i had less experiences with sims 2, i made 2 sims get married but i remember it didn't go that well because the female sim refuses to marry her soon to be husband (or atleast supposed to be)
and they ended up fighting and got enemies, i didn't even knew there was a cheat for something to make everything a bit easy

i guess the first cheat i used was Forcetwins, and the second one: boolprop testingcheatsenabled True/False, i can now laugh on that stuff but in the past it was really bothering me to make the 2 couples working again

This is such a nice roomy house for this family. Not even the slightest bit of crowding. Lisa wants another baby? Okay. The crib can stay in their room and when the child ages up, he or she can move into Tessa's room, or I can move the computer and let the baby have that room. It's so nice to have options instead of looking for any old spot on the floor to place a baby blanket. At least this baby won't end up living in the bathroom.

Of course! Triplets. Let's see. Where can I just throw some baby blankets? how big is the bathroom?

Better to do it the old fashioned way. It's harder to try for baby with the wrong person lol.

yes it seems like i need to do it the old way i used to do before i discovered the cheatcodes exist that can be usefull to the sims
i had that mistakes before while used the cheatcode and accidently maked a woman pregnant with a different man that was so NOT her husband, thank god i didn't saved it up back by then,
it was so awkward there from years ago

MattGo74 19th Jul 2019 10:38 PM

Sometimes you get a infertile hood where sometimes after 2-3 tries of try for baby still no go, so you have to do it the cheat way.

I wonder sometimes if that's programmed in, so you can play some sims who are infertile.

Orphalesion 20th Jul 2019 4:13 PM

Eh I'm pretty sure that's just the RNG. Like yesterday I needed a specific baby girl for story reasons. I saved when the mother got her contractions and I kid you not I had to reload 15 times before I got that baby girl, the first 14 babies all were boys.

If you have them whoohoo enough, every Sim couple can get pregnant.

Unless you have some sort of mod that fiddles with the parameters there, but then the mod is to blame, not the game.

MattGo74 20th Jul 2019 4:31 PM

I've had that happen a lot. If I didn't reload, I swear I'd get like 4 boys for every girl for the whole nearly 15 years I've been playing.
