I wonder if it was one of the Curious brothers? Because I feel like a lot of simmers play them that way, and it seems to fit into the "alternative" vibe of Strangetown, too.

I thought it was the Dreamers and that they weren't meant to be father and son. Their family's story isn't as interesting as the other housed Pleasantview Sims, and I could see that being because it was thought up at the last minute.

Yes indeed, it could have been that they made Dirk an adult male partner of Darren originally, rather than having a double love triangle surrounding Don and Cassandra. But then perhaps someone said wouldn't it be fun not only to have drama with Dina but also have another option for Cass, and they decided to make Dirk a teenage son instead. I find this weird, though, because Cassandra is surely very young given the ages of Alexander and Bella, and Darren is old enough to have a son about to go to college!

Well we don't know how long ago Bella disappeared. Mortimer is already an elder and when Cassandra was a child Alexander wasn't even born yet, so there must be quite a large age gap between them. Also, Dirk is only at the beginning of the teen stage and we don't know how young Darren was when he had him.

Hey!! I was on a hood deco downloading spree and came across this Pregnancy bump community lot fix, which prevents sims from popping into their third trimester bump when you take them to community lots (skipping the second trimester bump in many cases). I was literally just wondering whether this was fixed and somebody has fixed it! Woohoo!

Essentially: Any NPC that has an actual character file is safe to move into a family. Some of them just behave weirdly and cause bugs. You can fix this by changing the original GUID in SimPE.

@G-Mon you can also open the link in an incognito window. That way, the algorithm won't know that you actually bust some Sims 2 myths in your free time!

I don't know if people already know of this but I just discovered it now: a magic calendar that allows you to change days of the week, season and days left in the season for each household. This will be great to keep everyone in sync in rotational plays.

I don't know what the season jar is, but I'd never needed something like this until very recently. When I searched, I only saw Sim Manipulator as an option and that was a bigger mod than I wanted to bring into my game for something that was only a mild annoyance. I didn't know that another option existed.

The Season jar is by Simwardrobe, used it for years to set the season and you can also set how many days long it is. Maybe they used the code.

I use the Time & Weather Manager personally.

I'm glad there's other options. I didn't have a need for it until a few weeks ago and based on what I searched for, I was getting SimManipulator or Lazy Duchess's season sync (which does to all hood but not the way I wanted). I just happened to be thinking about whether I cared enough to keep trying the other day and I was glad I had this sign before I deleted the work I started.

I use the season jar and Pescado's Lot Sync Timer to change the day.

Before I downloaded the season jar though I just used the weather controller aspiration reward - that allows you to change the season, though it does need a sim to be in at least gold aspiration.

My sims always have 8347893457893478347 aspiration points so I was glad to have something to spend them on :D

I think I downloaded the season jar and then never used it and just played out of sync lol.

This is something that I've always been frustrated by-when a pixel chickens out of diving from the board, they don't go into the water autonomously by way of the ladder.

I kept reading 'pixel chickens' and could only think of sun&moon livestock chickens and picturing them going for a dive. Knowing how much chickens hate water this was a very funny picture first thing in the morning. After reading it three times I finally got that it was a sim, chickening out of diving.

I found this on GOS by Zena Dew Drop and it is so awesome-it's a functional digital menu ordering board that can be used in a 'self-serve' capacity. It generates a meal within 15 spaces on a counter. It eliminates the folderol of having servers, hosts and cooks in a restaurant.

I've put this in a 'McDonald's' shell and it is autonomous by both playables and non-playables.

Thank you to simsample for posting about CityOf2morrow - I'm not playing a futuristic game, but I found useful things on that tumblr.

I use the BB Niche set a lot and so I'm always interested in finding new bits and pieces that use its textures. Simmons at CityOf2morrow shared a few updates and fixes to the original sets and recategorised them as architecture plus made a collection file for the whole set. Then there's a set of other creators' add-on attic and buttress pieces that I hadn't had before, and a whole new Industrial Steel & Glass set repositoried to BB Niche and the CityOf2morrow glass and roofing repository files which looks really good for making conservatories and shopping malls! That last set contains a piece I've been searching for - I was convinced someone must have made a repositoried simple column, it'll be useful in so many places.

It looks amazing and I probably download it, the versions that were made before were also great. I love that the Magic neighborhood is next to the rest of the city, I always loved the houses in the Magic hood and spent a lot of time saving coins to buy them!

I would love a version with all the sims and their stories and so on. Since I always start setting it up but end up playing a little bit and quitting because I don't even remember the sims 1 lore so it would be great to have it ready to play with the stories ready!

I'm madly in love with this old town too - what I love even more about the "new" one is that it's got all the hoods in one! maybe you could always add it as subhood and then remove it to get the sims and then move them in? Possibly cloning some lots beforehand, if you like them better from it?

I'd also look at TS1toTS2 database just in case I'm thrilled lol just need to make sure I don't get any conflict with my current default hood terrain.
