As usual, I was searching for something when I stumbled across something completely different and unrelated, yet amazing. So I love the SEP for Maxis counters but was always dismayed that no ever incorporated it into custom counters (Kitchen Basic, Shakerlicious, and Tranquility Kitchens--I'm looking at you). I love the sets made by Sunni and Fractured Moonlight; the work they've done is beautiful and adds a lot of gameplay.

Agreed, SciBirg. I do have witches in my game, but it seems like a solution good for those who play more of a heavy supernatural 'hood. I suggested this on the Hacks & CC thead: I would love to see a new NPC like the one Crisps&Kerosene did, but along the lines of the "Rod Humble" leaving a random skill item, a "welcome to the 'hood" cooked meal, or random deco item perhaps?

well actually that might not be so hard, if you think about the code exists from Nightlife to leave a random gift depending on how an outing went? why not do something similar as part of the welcome party?

My last SP was Glamor Life. I just got it a couple months ago. I probably could have done without that one.
The only EP I *might* be able to live without is BonVoyage. I love the pets too much to give them up.
Speaking of giving up, I'd probably quit playing Sims altogether if I didn't have Seasons and Business. Those two give the game so much depth and interest.

Also new this summer at the same site is a set of "functional fireplaces" that are fueled with branches and firewood from the site's Giving Trees. Hurricane Harvey - downgraded to a tropical storm - still rough, though, it seems, according to news here.

Whether the site owners are based in Texas or not, a lot of server farms are. I was having trouble posting to Facebook because of the storm this morning.

I was always surprised that the Welcome Wagon didn't give any type of 'welcome to the hood' type of gifts. That's what a Welcome Wagon was originally (in RL). I found them more obnoxious in their barging into sim homes just from being greeted. Quite often new residents are low on money and having others eating their food, breaking things and sometimes making a mess with puddles and clogged toilets. I usually try to remember and lock doors to all but the residents. (:
And a big hurray for cows! Now my sims can have fresh milk to wash down all the homegrown fruits and vegies, not to mention the fish! Now I'm hungry. (:
