I think you just have to decide how you feel about this sort of thing and run with it. If it suits you better to have Sofia and Etsu pine for each other for a few days, then play that. If it suits you better to have them date now, then play that. My take on it is going to be different than anyone else's, and likely yours will be, too. I wouldn't blink at that kind of age gap in my game, but other folks find it bothersome. But it might be a lot of fun to play two teens who cannot get together for some reason--and if those two are your place to play with that idea, then figure out what makes sense for you. (In mine it would be social class prejudices, hands down, which wouldn't apply for those two.) Fortunately, there's no Sims 2 morality police (which of us wouldn't be in trouble if there were?!) and so you can figure out what you want to run in your neighborhood. |
Running into a bit of a problem with one of my uberhoods...it's a small welsh town and usually I human-ify everyone, including aliens, plantsims, etc etc but I'm thinking I may actually play with supernaturals for once. Problem is, when human, I usually have the Greenmans run a vegan grocery shop...does that feel wrong to do if Rose stays a plantsim? Like, that's her bretheren she's selling...
Choices, choices. |

I don't particularly are to play any of the supernaturals myself. However, where I to play as you're gonna do, I think my answer is no. For me, I think I'd see it in the same vein as sims/ people and animals/ eating meet. I hope that made sense as I know what I mean, but not sure it's comin out right. |

I get you. Though, perhaps I just make them run a farm instead...I already have two farms but that's Wales for you :p |

THen maybe turn the 3 farms so that they all farm different things. Do you use the farm animals from the Keep? You could have one do all trees, one do all plantables, and then one with animals. |

That was the plan! Leod McGreggor has some animals and garden plots, the Vonderstein family own a horse farm with some allotments to bring in money, and the Greenmans can have an orchard! |
More of a 'hood design' dilemma than a story dilemma - I want to make a british uberhood still keeping the original neighborhoods (instead of merging them into one town), but that does mean that Strangetown cannot stay a desert. Struggling with how to make it still feel like 'Strangetown'. My thoughts are it could be a little former mining village where a military base has set up.

I don't know if you have ever seen the old sitcom The League of Gentlemen, but their fictional town Royston Vasey https://www.bbc.co.uk/derby/content...gallery.shtml?8 would be the perfect UK Strangetown. If you haven't seen the show, it is worth a watch for the surrealness of it. |
