Romanians, unite!
 

If you're a Romanian and a member of MTS, post here! I'd like to know how many of us are around here.

I have no idea if I'm Roman or not, but I LOVE Rome in general. Can I stay, or should I go?

Okay.
1) Everybody knows what Romans are: citizens of Rome, later of the Roman Republic/Empire.
2) Romanians are a nation located in SE Europe, between Bulgaria, Hungary, Ukraine, Moldavia, Serbia and the Black Sea. The origins of Romanians begin around the year 106 AD, when the Romans conquered Dacia (pretty much modern-day Romania). As such, Romanians can be described as: Romans + Dacians + IX century barbarians (mostly Slavs).

See? That's the difference.

I'm from Iaşi :] hopefully,when I finish high school I may go abroad for studies - 2 more years to go,though.

What I actually meant was that it is not necessarily useless information, just information I will never use. To another person it may be extremely useful.

@ LinaM: Bucharest, born and raised. Though I'm not the kind of "bad boy" people outside Bucharest usually think of.
As for going abroad... hmm... where would you like to go? I've already been to France this year, going trough Hungary, Austria and Germany.

Anyway, you didn't say what" useless" information you want to fill your brain with.
So far, you know about "lei" (national currency; also means "lions") and "bec" (lightbulb).

I'm an open-minded person so I don't judge persons by their place of birth or race or religion etc. so I don't think persons from Bucharest are the bad-boy type.I'd like to visit several countries like France,Egypt,U.K. and others but for studies I'd choose U.S.A. or U.K.(although I'd have bigger chances in France).

It seems people don't care about Romania like they used to. Oh, well...

I was viewing Vlad`s page here on MTS and I saw this group. I`m not much of an additon, I guess, but I still thought it would be nice to join. Since this is the only thread here, I guess it`s the right place to introduce myself. So, hi. I`m Andreea, from Bucharest.
