Machines by Biffy Clyro. The lead singer (Simon)'s mum passed away prior to the band writing the album, Puzzle, that this song is from, so consequently a lot of songs on the album are influenced by that. This song totally breaks my heart every single time I hear it, but does end hopeful. I love this band soo much. Seeing them live in May and cannot wait!

Concrete Angel makes me cry all the time. It appauls (sp?) me how someone could be cruel enough to hurt and innocent child or animal. I went to a shelter and saw a beautiful dog. The volunteers told us that they got the dog with his skull smashed open and his ribs and other bones broken. I was crying on the inside and wanted to tell him that it was not his fault and he was safe there (the shelter has a no-kill policy) and that I would have stopped that cruel, evil person if I could have.
