Matching Maxis Textures for the Ornate Chess Set

3/15/08: Lord Darcy has brought it to my attention that this fix is now included in the CEP. If you have that installed, you no longer need these files.

If you've ever tried to create a dark & dismal home for a brooding goth and gave them a black chess set, only to be forced to give it a light wood surface, this is for you.


These textures were included with the original game. They were made by Maxis, I had nothing to do with them. I just extracted them a year or so ago for my own use, and finally decided other people might want these, too. Now you can have the originally intended match for the white, mahogany, and black chess sets!


Update (Dec. 2): After following Lord Darcy's instructions in post #9, I've re-uploaded the packages. There's absolutely no need to download the new ones if you don't want to; their only advantage over the previous version is that they're a smaller file size. If you do re-download these, they'll write over the previous versions.
