I made a lots of custom content to the sims1 + some ideas from the sims4 (like collecting stones by digging in the ground and more)- I will upload some here!!!
The first one I will share with you is the REALISTIC FRIDGE!!!
It has been my dream that sims could put their groceries into the fridge and depending of what they bought - they could make the meals.
It's similar to the pantry concept but a lot more realistic!
For Example:
To cook maxis regular meal -> sims will need 3 vegetables + 1 meat.
To serve maxis meal (6 portions) -> sims need will 10 vegetables + 6 meat.
It's have been a good success so far:
The snack + quick meals are still like the original game.
I want to make an option for sims to buy snacks and only then the option for eat snack will appear.
Sims can always check the amount of the the ingredients that are in the fridge.
If there are no carrots (for example) the "carrot" button won't be seen
A NEW INGIDIENT!!! ->>>>>>>>>> Meat!
Once a sim bought some meat - they can put it in the fridge You can put:
1 of each ingredient
5 of each ingredient
All the amount of the ingredient
Now my sim added 1 meat to the fridge - and he can cook his meal:
After he cooked the meal - there will be less 4 ingredients couscous he used 1 meat + 3 vegetables!

Now the only 2 meals you can put as leftovers are:
Maxis serving meal
1 meal of Salad
I am still working on the others :)
If you put in the fridge half eated meal -> this is also what you will receive when you will choose "get leftovers"

1) You can call Lurch only if you have a magic wand in your inventory!
2) You will need a lots of money so he will actually come!
3) You can ask him to palm read - and if you are a child you can talk with him about the death!
3) Once Lurch came to your house he will almost never go back - so he can actually live in your house.

It's been a while sines I created something new to sims1.
I wanted long time to create Christmas postcards and thanks to Corylea from Reddit I finally could do that!
So here is my new creation:
12 new Christmas postcards!:
* Not all 12 postcards will be available every day on every lot, so you will need to travel around the lots and search for all the 12 postcards.
* There are common, rare, ultra-rare and Most-rare postcards.
* Each postcard cost 50 $
* Most of the postcards will give you 5 relationship points when you send them on the mailbox.
* The Most-Rare postcards (there are 3 like this) will give you 7 points relationship points when you send them on the mailbox.
The mailbox:
I made 2 objects - you can install one of them or them both.
1) file called: MailboxVacation
will replace the original mailbox and will let you to send all 12 new postcards to your friends.
You can choose to send a regular postcard (and then dependence on the lot type - beach/forest/snow) your sim will send the right postcard.
And you can choose to send Christmas postcard. Your sims will send them by random. Just remmebr to click on TAB on the keyboard to see all options:

Maxis Replacemant:
I strongly suggest to install my replacement for maxis postcards because if you wont do that
you will see on "brows" all the new 12 postcards....
And I made it so kids finally can buy postcards too!
It will also let you to buy only one postcard on each lot (it make more sense.)
*A beach postcard on beach lots,
*A forest postcard on forest lots
*A snow postcard on snow lots
Extra Interactions:
1) Find and buy 1 of the 3 postcards with the Mascot face on them.
2) Click on the mascot that his face on your postcard
3) hug him/her
4) Adult can hug too!
I'm attempting to recreate a TS1 style scene in Maya, and I'm looking for the 3D models of the sim characters specifically. I understand the 2D sprites thing with the objects, not concerned with those as I will attempt to make replica models based off the images available. It would be cool to get the actual model (obj. file?) of a character, doesn't have to be too specific although both male and female would be ideal. I'm not looking to repurpose the models, but use them as reference for poly count/distribution. I intend to build one from scratch, and I want it to look like it came right out of the game. Images of the 3D wireframes would work just as well if they're out there, as I just need to see how the polygons are organized. If someone has gone over this somewhere already I apologize, but I've been searching through google as well as the threads of this website, and have yet to find what I'm looking for. If I have to download TS1 in order to get into those files then so be it, but I'd rather not as I've read about issues/crashes with newer systems.

This is a homework mode for the sims1 lazy kids
I'm kidding - they are not lazy, they are just bored to death! :heyhey:
I found out that I have nothing necessary to give my kids to do after school.
They eat, they play a bit, and watch TV.
But there is no really a challenge for me to care my kids, especially after I made this mode: LessDecay Plant
Please be careful:
(you will only have to do that 1 time for each family, only if you feel this mode caused some bugs)
It may cause some problems in your game
The best thing to do after installing this mode is to delete all your sims with "move_objects on" cheat
and then click n them again (they will just be restart as default)
And then this mode will work better after that.!
So - It took me a long time to create this mode,

You will see the process of doing homework above your sim
(Like when they learn a new interest point)
The percent always will show
When a kid finish doing homework they will get 1 of 2 messages
a kid only can do his/her homework!
(it took me a long time figure it out how to do that, thanks to 4key doors I found the way)
After 3 school days - homework wont be effective,
kids still can do them but it won't give them benefits
Kids that didn't made their homework will get 1 of this 3 messages on 10:00 AM: And they won't get a 1+ school point!
each kid can have up to have 3 relevant homework:
They will have 72 hours to complete their homework
but weekands & holidays won't count so it will work with calendars (when school bus won't come)
Kids who didn't made their homework 3 time in a row -> will stay up to 18:00 to complete their school tasks:

Hi there, trying to get back into making Sims 1 stuff again (after changing jobs and moving house) I thought I'd keep everything under one thread this time. I plan to make conversions from other Sims games along with some mods involved, but no longer making objects recolourable... and doing random pieces I feel like at the time.
List of thing I hate about the original sims1 newspaper: 1) You can't unsubscribe 2) You need to click on every newspaper to clean each and one of them 3) Sims just read the newspaper and no more cool actions
on the sims2 - simers can do crosswords and gain points.
I would like to made the newspaper to do that on sims1!
1) I found a cool painting on SomeSimThings - if you put this painting on your walls, the newspaper will stop coming.
But I have made it possible to "buy" this painting threw the nespaper:
Once you will do that, a painting will be hanged on a random outside wall of your house
And this massage will appear:
If you want the newspaper to come again - just delete the painting
I am still working on section 2 + 3

I'm trying to use animations from different expansions for different reactions, but notice that in House Party onwards, animations seem to link and play to there desired sound file automatically without any code telling them to play...
for example if I replaced A2O-tantrum with a2o-fan-scream my sims will perform said animation... but sound like the obsessed fan. (this is without me touching or adding any sound files) Is there a way to stop this from happening? expansions had so many great animations, it's a shame there strapped to there sound files.
Hi there, I'm currently making a shower with woohoo (nothing 18+...) actions which has been successful. But I'm struggling at the moment for both sims to get a relationship points after use...
If there's any advanced Sim 1 modders left out there can you offer any help? I can even send over my object if you want to look into it or fix my attempt at relationship gain, thanks.
I've made a bunch of mods for The Sims 1, but I never bothered to upload them anywhere, because I thought I was the only one playing this twenty-year-old game. Then I found this section of ModTheSims. :-) Now that I know I'm not the only one, I'm going to upload a few things and see if anyone wants them.
Food Lasts a Week
I don't know about you, but when I'm finished with a meal, I put the leftovers in the refrigerator, and they last for a week or so. And yet our sims can't do this, so they have to cook All. The. Time. Well, no more. I've hacked the food so that it stays fresh for a week. The sims still don't put it in the refrigerator, but you can't have everything. :P This mod alters the regular meals, the BBQ meals, the pizza, and even the snacks.
Since this mod replaces an in-game object, the file does NOT go in your Downloads folder, the way objects usually do; it has to go into the Objects subfolder of your GameData folder. Your GameData folder is a subfolder of your Maxis folder; look in C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\The Sims\Gamedata\Objects, if you installed the game to your C drive.
I make mods for my own use, but I go to all the trouble of uploading them in an attempt to make my fellow simmers happy. If you like the mod, please say so! I don't get mail at corylea.com, but you can leave a comment in this thread; I'll be checking it frequently.
When you make friends in The Sims, you have to keep up with them, because your relationship declines gradually over time. Okay, sure, in the real world if you don't talk to somebody for a decade, they might stop being your friend, but a few days -- or even a few weeks -- shouldn't matter that much.
So I've made a mod that eliminates relationship decay. You can still lose a friend if you're mean to them or even if you talk about things they find boring, but you won't lose a friend to decay. Make a friend and have them for life!
Make sure you put the two files in the right places; these files do NOT go in the downloads folder! There are complete directions both on my site and in a readme in the folder with the mod.
I've used this mod in my game for several months with no trouble -- and @AwooWolfWoof and @PanCakezzz were both kind enough to test it for me -- but if it gives you problems, just delete it.
My mods are always free, and my site doesn't ask for anything -- no registration or any of that crap. Your browser might tell you that my site is "not secure," but since you aren't giving me anything -- my site doesn't ask for information or money or anything at all -- it doesn't NEED to be secure; it's just a plain old download.
If you decide you want your relationships to decay again, simply remove those two files, and the game's internal files will take over again.

As you know, for some default Downtown Lots, how they look and what is on them depend on wich expansion packs are installed, and may depend upon the order in which they are installed. Pet-related items from Unleashed may not appear unless Unleashed or later expansion pack was installed before Hot Date. Tiki, disco, and "country" items from House party may not appear if any expansion packs were installed between House Party and Hot Date, or if Unleashed or later expansion pack is installed.

The Sims Complete Collection contains Unleashed versions of lots, meaning that the items from House Party will not appear by Default but the items from Unleashed will.
This pack of lots is custom made mash-up of two versions of lots that has both Unleashed and House Party items. That means your sims now can have Unleashed pet stores togehter with Houseparty items for hang out.

All Houseparty items were placed on Unleashed version lots in strong accordance to original. Except some miserable things that tool place on Barrett's Boardwalk. Its first floor has been made one tile shorter and all of the windows were removed in House Party Version. I did not delete 2nd floor windows and did not change the size of entire building.

Hello everyone, my name is Alan, and I'm still a big fan of the original Sims. So much so, that during the times of lockdown and furlough, I just dived into the world of creating and editing objects for the original game.
05/02/2021 So I went ahead and made the other bookshelfs in the Sims 2, all based on my modded Craftmeister Booknook, with recolours enabled in build mode. All put in one far file.
(The accessory files are separate, does anyone know how to add accessory files into far files? also does anyone know the flag for the hand tool in build mode? come to mind this method of recolours would be odd once I move onto build items)
You should delete the the old Craftmeister Booknook as it's inculded in this far file.
Preview of all the possible recolours in build mode, simple pick up the object in build mode, then place it back down to use different recolours.
-All bookshelfs have the same price, name and description found in the Sims2.
-New command added 'Read About' With this you can gain any interest point. You roughly gain the same amount points as if you was reading the magazines found downtown, but these don't decrease other points or tank fun. (Press the tab button to cycle the menus to get to Hollywood, Technology and Romance)
-Gain interest, skills or improve grades at home or any location lot.
-Sims gain cooking and mechanical points slightly faster then the base game bookshelf's.
-Sim's with a maxed out interest in food gain cooking skills faster and Sim's with maxed in technology gain mechanical skills faster.
-Sim's with Playful points between 0-4 gain skills faster. (Interests remain the same)
-Child Sim's get faster grades with a max interest in School or have 0-4 playful points
-Sim's can fill the fun bar fully
-Sim's with Playful points between 0-4 gain more fun.
-New book added when reading, not a replacement! (Make sure to extract the accessory mesh and texture into skins)
-New pop when your Sim gain a skill point! (Live PIP must be turned on or you'll just hear a sound effect)
-No more game pausing or clicking to remove dialog boxes. This new pop only only lasts for five seconds and your game will keep running whatever speed your on.
-No pop for interest or grades improving.
-Less dramatic rejection to studying, replaced with a simple disapproving animation and messaging saying "I'm not in the mood to study" with the new pop up.
-Change designs when you are in build mode, simply pick up and place the object back down in build mode to change designs, a small sound effect will let you know something has changed. This will only happen in build mode and not buy mode. This works with all location lots is well.
-Each design has four rotations.
Other changes
-Removed A+ money bonus. Just not a fan of this happening. (Only for this bookcase, doesn't effect other or the chances of this happening when returning home from school)
I made and tested this with the complete collection, users with Hotdate or higher should be okay. Please let me know of any issues.
1 Easel 5 colour options:

-Sell paintings for more money! Max creativity skill can earn roughly 375 simoleons per painting. Sims with a max interest in money and creativity skill can earn roughly 500 simoleons per painting. (low quality paintings will always sell low regardless of skill or interest level)
-Keep painting. Create up to 12 paintings. Your Sim will be able to take the painting of the easel and place the painting with a rack in the world. Pick this up in buy mode to convert this into a painting, pick this up in build mode if you want to keep the painting in the rack. (This option is not available for location lots)
-Add to Inventory lets your Sim gift paintings to other sims.
-Give Gift, adults can only give paintings to adults, children can give to both adult and other children.
-Scrap painting, to either cycle to the painting you want or remove low quality paintings.
Gift guide:
-Low quality paintings have a higher chance of being rejected, each painting is varied by interests, personality, relationship and motive. Sims with a high interest in style will always reject these.
-Higher quality paintings are more accepted, Sims can still reject these but less likely. Sims with high interest in style will always love these.
-Sims get 4 points in relationship and 1 in lifetime relationship. Either Sim with 5 or more points in nice get 6 relationship and 2 in lifetime relationship.
-Sims get -4 points in relationship and -1 in lifetime relationship. Either Sim with 4 or less points in nice get -6 relationship and -2 in lifetime relationship
Skill changes:
-New pop when your Sim gain a skill point! (Live PIP must be turned on or you'll just hear a sound effect)
-No more game pausing or clicking to remove dialog boxes. This new pop only only lasts for five seconds and your game will keep running whatever speed your on.

-New accessories. New paint brush and palette will be used just for this easel.
-Sims with 5 or more point in playful or maxed interest in style gain more fun painting.
-Fun motive fully fills.
-Children can only paint the lower quality painting.
-Children cannot paint if a higher quality painting has been started. (they can still sell, keep or scrap)
-Children cannot add higher quality paintings to inventories.
-This easel only has 3 states. empty > painting in progress > painting finished. Download link
Recently i've been playing a lot of Sims 1 and enjoying it a lot! Now i came across the Simslice website and saw the Marilyn Monroe skin you could download there for a bit of money: http://www.simslice.com/Skins.htm The website hasn't been active from my understanding, but i really want the Marilyn skin for my Sims game so much!
-All endtables have the same price, name and description found in the Sims2.
-Change colour in build mode, simple pick up the object in build mode, then place it back down to use different recolours. Works on all location lots.
-Crazy 8 Table, Contempto Adirondack End Table, Merokkan End Table and Here and There Thing sprites reduced to one.
-Glass/transparency added to the Gliteri & Co Trieste End Table with a separate sprite.
Changes to original mesh/textures
-Removed the curtain from the Country Comfort Corner Table.
-Added a red texture to match the red marble texture for the Tri Tip Table.
-Changed some surface textures to match The Goldend Ratio Table better.
OPTIONAL INTRODUCTION (my story of getting reunited with TS1)
So yeah... I'm still interested in playing, modding, creation for TS1. I went back to this game a few months ago, after more than ten years of absence, just to remember what it was and... and I was hooked immediately. True, you can't have proper legacies, which is my only type of playing Sims BUT you can still have babies, age them up, and with Makin' Magic, they can even grow to adulthood. And when it's time for older generations to pass away, I kill them with hunger or the legendary Ladderless Pool of Death. True, there's no genetics, so no way of spreading the desired features, but I find it so exciting when a baby or kid grows up and takes this totally random appearance (the uglier the funnier!). So it's like, TS2 is my "serious" and carefully planned main legacy and TS1 is a spontaneous, whimsical journey into the incredible wackiness of this game.
GET-TO-THE-POINT-AT-LAST PART
So I downloaded tons of cc for TS1 but it annoys me that some objects don't show in the subcategories (you know, Desks, Dining Tables, End Tables...), but only in the All Surfaces category. Is there a way to put those in their proper sub-categories? The object-creation tutorials I found seem to have been written before Hot Date, when sub-categories didn't exist.

Literally all I want is to extract the models and textures to import into another program for examination. But I can't find any information for modding gamecube games. Has it become lost knowledge at this point? Have people given up? :cry: :cry: :cry:
