After a long time I took my sim to university. I forgot how insane the performance bar is! If the sim is not currently studying the bar keeps going down!

So being a gardener is must have for uni student because wonderpetal herb will boost the studying

The bar also goes up while you are working on a skill for that specific degree. Like if you are working on charisma and are there for a business degree, your performance goes up. You may end up getting a bigger boosts from upping a skill related to the major rather than studying. Luckily the bar is frozen on the weekend so you can do other things like meet people- or ignore people and work on other skills.

I discovered that ghosts appear to enjoy fireworks. I let one off at the cemetery in Sunset Valley and earned 20 simoleons. The question is, where did the money come from? 'Dead money' I suppose. Seems like you actually can take it with you.

Trees randomize their height when placed. :o

Edit. I have a rebellious Sim who rolled a want to start a protest. As I scheduled it, I was impressed by the cross-pack compatibility. You can protest against things that comes in expansion! Sims 4 could never.

Edit2. Found something incredible. When you text a Sim, that Sim actually reacts as if he got a text: checking their phone, cheering and thinking of your Sim. It's such a nice detail.

Edit3. First time I ran into "trait incompatibility". My Sim's descendant is a Coward, while my Sim is Brave. They completely fell out when they met. Arguing over their traits and giving each other annoyed looks. I didn't know that was a thing. It's kinda fun.

Edit.4 Nectar with fire fruit has a fire effect above the lid.

I don't know if you already know this, but if you build or edit a house, put a brand new bookshelf, save the house to your bin, place it on empty lot and play the house, that bookshelf you've just put will look like it's full of books and there'll be some new books for free in that bookshelf. it's quite cheaty to be honest but most of the new books seem to have zero value.

It came with a digital download of Katy Perry game objects (can't remember what they were off hand), plus this poster:



(never used), and these guitar picks:



(also never used).

Not as good as the Sims 3 base game collectors edition which came with a plumb bob flash drive (lost by my daughter), or the Sims 4 collector's edition which came with a programmable plumbob light (still used every day by me, as opposed to the Sims 4 game itself which I never use ).

That's really cool. I have a collections edition of Uncharted 3 myself. Came with a statue, OST, Nate's ring necklace, buckle and a holographic... thing. (Mousepad maybe? Or poster? I don't know what it's supposed to be).

The Katy Perry stuffpack can't be bought these days. At least not on Origin/EAapp. It's a shame cos I saw a cool lot but it required the Katy Perry stuff.

I never acquired the Katy Perry stuff pack, I only got the Showtime Katy Perry edition because I always tried to get any bonus content for the games. I don't think either are available now, I think it's a licensing thing. They'd probably have to pay Katy Perry more money to sell those now!

Oh then I misunderstood. I thought Katy Perry stuff was included in the Showtime edition. Like the double expansions (the startpack that included Late Night or the one that included Seasons)

There was the Katy Perry Showtime Collector's Edition (still have my box also, love it so sparkly) and Katy Perry Sweet Treats stuff pack (which I did finally buy off ebay because I needed to complete the collection). Has some fun stuff in it but really only useful for maybe a candy shop or something very candy themed. The collector's edition had extra clothes and a few special venues if i remember correctly, maybe a few hairstyles.

You can control pets... and they have wants! That's so nice. Sims 4 could never. Oh and cats have a "scratch" need.
