I used my own real-world experience in making it, but if I ever get prepped to make an update, I'll keep your ideas and experiences in mind. Thanks, MellieC

And no, I will not be making a hip hop or R&B version as that is not my specialty and I don't know anything about those genres. Thanks for thinking of me, though, Elle.

the career reward should be a Grammy or something like it.

Is anyone else experiencing a problem with losing the political major in University? I don't have the option for my sims to major in Politics. I have only one other custom career, which is the Hollywood one, but it doesn't say what that career is based on. I noticed that this one is based on politics so I thought I'd check and see if anyone else had this same problem.

Well I did a little test and it looks like both the Music career and the Hollywood career are based on the Politics career. When I disabled the Music career while still having the Hollywood career enabled, I got my Politics major back and vice versa. So, it looks like I can only have one of the careers in my game. Well, I have entirely too many rockers in my game to go without the music career. Thanks again for a great career.

I could be wrong, so if anyone else has the Hollywood career with the Music career they might want to check and see if their Politics major is gone in University.

It is based on a base-game career, so yes, it works with Pets.

Nvenya: That is WEIRD. Unfortunately I have stopped using University and am unable to test it out, but I'm racking my brain trying to think of what could cause that to happen.

Quick question ... What happens when you delete a career that is now covered by an expansion? I never had this happen before!

I just got Seasons, and yes, I guess there isn't a need for TWO music careers. Too bad. This one has a slightly different focus than the Maxis one, and I admit to liking this one a bit more than Maxis'. A LOT of my Sims have this career.

I've never removed a career that many of my Sims now have, though. If I do so, all that will happen is that they will be listed as unemployed, right? It shouldn't cause any grief. I've briefly disabled it while testing with no problems, but I didn't play the game for long when I did this.

It doesn't SEEM to cause any grief if I leave it in, although I've only gone up to Wedding Singer. But yes, it ought to be removed, since I don't know what it might do later on. I just wanted to find out, though, from anyone here what happens when you do remove it. There have been times I removed what I thought was an innocuous item or mod, only to find out that it got messier than I thought when I did!

Guess I'll just have to disable it in the Sims 2 Clean Installer and find out!

But thanks for a career that was really a lot of fun for many months! I really liked this one, and had no problems with it.

P.S. So far, so good. Some minor glitching, but nothing upsetting, and it resolves quickly. (Sometimes, the computers get a bit flaky when the Sim tries to find a new job. One Sim had only one choice on the computer! Everything was fine the next day, though.)
