Does this work with Pets? I'm having issues with some instruments and I want to narrow this hack down as definatly NOT the cause...

the hack works in my Pets game. In any case, this hack doesn't modify the instruments behaviour or functions; it's only a graphical modification.

I think there might be a problem with these hacks in Seasons. I hope it is not the case! But I've done so much testing today that I think I've narrowed it down to these particular hacks. On a new lot I put down today, I gave them the original Maxis guitar and the bass guitar. They seem to work fine, but then it would randomly crash after they'd stop/start playing the guitar. At first I thought it was your stereo op hack because one Sim was still playing the guitar when I directed her to turn off the stereo and my game crashed. So, I took it out. I restarted the game, went back to that lot and I observed them for a little while longer. I directed one to turn on and then turn off the stereo. A moment or two later, the other sim went to play the guitar, and then my game crashed. I put your stereo op mod back in, and removed the visual effects hacks, and no more crash! I watched them longer than before, and while one sim was playing the guitar, I directed the other sim to turn on and turn off the stereo. No crash.

I never found this mod to cause problems because I've had it in my game since you released it, but then again, I've only given my Sims the piano before today. HCDU never showed a conflict with this mod and any other mod (and I have a lot of mods!). I also don't have any custom guitars or Atavera's band controller hack. For now, I've taken out the visual effects mods for the guitar and the bass. When you get the chance, can you look into it for me? THANKS!

Strangely, I am getting the same problem as daysies. Ever since I installed Seasons with these, the same thing daysies describes happens in my game! How odd, since it is only a visual modification...

Let me run some tests in a clean Seasons environments... Thanks for the heads up.

I had this same problem as you where the game crashed when they started playing the guitar.

I noticed it after installing the Season's patch.

I removed all of Numenor's visual effects hacks and it fixed the problem.

Sorry for the 'me too' post but the game crashes when I have these mods in, along with the custom guitar hack. My friend has the same problem in her game. I really like this mod alot, I hope this can be fixed.

EDIT: There is a conflict with this and one of JM Pescado's hacks. I am not sure which one, but it is either:

abortbedmaking
autosoc
antibusinessdecay
autoyak

Chiming in as well to state that in my game (I have every EP up to Bon Voyage), this mod just made my game crash when a sim started to play a Maxis guitar. I hope it is fixed one day! :-)

19 MAR 2008 - Updated for Seasons/Freetime + Added Modular Synth (FT)

It seems that starting with Season, the game handles differently the effects embedded in animations; this caused the Seasons games (and newer) to crash. Now the hacks for Guitar, Bass and Drums have been updated so to hopefully fix the problem, and a new hack for the Modular Synth (Freetime required) has been added.
Please take note that:
- the special guitar offered as career prize with Seasons uses the same hack as the standard guitar;
- the violin that came with Freetime has no visual effects to remove.

Is this compatible with AL? Thanks!!!

I have AL EP and they've worked fine so far
Is there a posibility for the maxis mic to have this hack, please?
