Thanks for the constructive critisism...real people are not my forte (obviously!). I think I'll stick to 'other' Sims!

Anyway, austin - all custom content is included (if the hair does not show up, just go to the link above and DL the mesh - it's free).

Thanks again for your comments - making her was harder than I thought, so again I think I'll leave the 'real' sims to the experts!

Smooches!

She is really pretty. You did some really sexy work with the eyes! The nose is a little bit big, at least in the photos. Sometimes in-game it will look fine--that's why it's kind of frustrating that a lot of voting on this forum is done by people who are just going strictly off the photo, while the people who actually download often don't comment. I will download her and check her out, because I do think she's really special. Right now, my impression of her just from the photos is that she looks a heck of a lot like Nadia Bjorlin, an actress who played Chloe on Days of Our Lives awhile back.

I know that's not what somebody wants to hear--that their Sim looks like someone else and not the celebrity they were trying for. But sometimes that's how I got some of my celebrity Sims that had rated well here in the past. I was trying for someone else and ended up with someone entirely different. I just posted my "accidents" and hoped for a good reception.

Don't give up on the celebrities! But yeah, under the new guidelines you have to know celebrity sims will be graded harsher than "Others". It goes with the territory. Kudos for a great effort! She is not that far off at all.

Edit: I just checked her out in BodyShop--nose actually looks fine and a lot smaller in there. I'll get back to you once I've had a chance to play her in-game. She's quite lovely in Bodyshop. Really nice facial sculpting--but then again you're not exactly a novice Sim maker!

summersong - Thank you for the comments - I very much appreciate the tips. And you're right - she does look a little like the link you provided (and I do want to hear that, so I can improve!)! I couldn't find an over abundance of photos on Britt for the different angles of her face - I checked out the link you provided and there are TONS of photos for Nadia. Maybe I should try a 'bigger' celebrity that has more photos available!

Thank you for reporting back - I did think her nose was a little too big at first, but the real photo of her (with the Bright white background - Britt03) showed her nostrils and the bridge of her nose a little wider than I had initially thought. Actually I had a hard time making the space between her eyebrows wide enough.

Please let me know what you think of her in the game - and I again appreciate any other feedback you can provide!!!

I created her in CAS but wasn't feeling well enough to play her, yet--will as soon as this flu bug lets up on me otherwise I get dizzy trying to play. The nose looked fine in CAS. I played around with resizing the eyes. They looked a bit large in CAS. Again, I won't really know for sure about the proportions until I check her in full game lighting. With a real person whose features are this unusual--I would reserve all suggestions until a thorough checkup in-game. Before my head started spinning I was testing my Christina Applegate in-game and found all sorts of things I wanted to fix--things that looked great in BodyShop and CAS and even preliminary run-throughs on my test lot. It sure is tricky reproducing the celebs! And folks here have really high expectations because some stunning likenesses have been produced. For beginners like you and me it's a tough haul but I'm really stubborn. I keep saying I'll quit making celebs and then prototypes keep popping up when I goof around in Bodyshop and I keep working on them.

Britt is really hard to find photos of. I didn't see any good ones and I did Google her. Tell me what it is about her that drew you to making a Sim of her and I'll pay special attention to those features when I look at her in game.

p.s....in this case I might change out the eyes--I was using ones by Barcelonista that looked good on her. I don't have all the eyes I'm used to using because I still haven't rebuilt fully since my computer problems. But I think a different set of eyes might bring the resemblance up a few notches. Echo's irises are a bit big for this particular facial sculpturing.

I played her in-game on my test lot. She's really pretty! The nose is just fine. You shaped it very well. I know how hard it is to do those unusual noses--I have a migraine from finishing up Michael Easton's nose....lordy that man has a difficult nose! The eyes are a bit big, but that is just a matter of taste. I used to actually enlarge most Sims eyes because that was my preference. Now I tend to have the eyes too small. Go figure. If people don't like it they can always squeeze it down a notch in CAS.

Rose has a new donation hair that looks a lot like Britt's hair in her real photo, the second one in the top row. Even the color is almost the same. I tried it out on the Sim and it looks cute. Off hand I forget which style number it was, but you'll know the style I mean when you see it--I've seen some Sims here already wearing that style.

Well anyway, she's tested and she looks very pretty in-game. I'm rating her 4 stars. Does she look like the celebrity came to life? No, but to be honest I think that's not even something people ought to expect or demand. If it happens, great--I guess that is what 5 stars are for. But even so-called lack of photo-realism is a stylistic choice and not necessarily a reflection of the simmer's ability. I mean, I have seen more than one person post that they actually find Sims that are too realistic a bit creepy and prefer their sims to look like, well...Sims. I like either style and mix and match them in my towns.

This Sim looks exactly like what I would expect a celebrity Sim to look like--she looks like a Sim version of the celebrity. Duh! If you want to start producing ones that look almost exactly like real people, that is kind of hard to do with pre-made skins. You will either have to alter existing skins, which most skin-makers won't permit. Or learn how to take features from photos and make your own skins. That is what Regina is doing so successfully these days, and what I am trying to do, with less success, but I'm slowly getting there.

I hope that input helps. I love her--I wouldn't have put time and effort into testing her if I didn't. I may even try to sneak her into a screenshot of one of the Sims I will be uploading next.

Thank you for making this Sim. You evidently have made some fans of this as yet not widely known lady very happy!

Thank you Summersong! I appreciate the time you took with her - and if you've improved her, please upload and share! I'm getting some PM's from people wanting more charaters from 8th and Ocean and I'm SURE they'd love to have an improved version of Britt too.

Since I'm not a skin creator, it is difficult to re-create 'real' people, as you said.

I can't wait to see your newest uploads!!!!

zinky - I'm REALLY bad a creating male sims, so if I even attempted to create Teddy, it would probably be a disaster! :sorry:
