Dadditude:: Basically, I work it out from the placement of the windows. If it is a larger window that looks like two squares, I leave two squares for it and then estimate the amount of wall that's supposed to be on either side. It's a little trickier when there is an attached garage, because the Sims garage is usually larger than what would normally be left for a 'real' house. If you place the garage first, then work around that, you'll end up with much larger rooms than if you continue to use the 'window-estimation' method. When I do it, I try to work around the garage as much as possible, but then I also estimate using my 'windows' method. Usually, you'll end up with a slightly different floorplan to the original, but one that works just as well for TS2. Hope that helps you!
