I have messed up my characters before, so I'm a little nervous about using this mod ^_^;; not that I don't trust your skill! but that I no longer underestimate The Sims' ability to get screwed up! lol

I may install it, though, because I really am overwhelmed by all the extra strays. (wtf Maxis?!)

I'd like to hear about how it fixed your game, Imagine___?

(Btw menother, how do you kill them off? And don't they repopulate?)

Support a hungry coyfox (me!). Buy some wonderful flavored tea: Coy o'Teas

Well, something in my game files made an error in generating pets for the game - this hack stops generating the pets at the start of the new neighbourhood. :P

Thank you!! I was getting sick of the creating pets every time I started a new neighbourhood just to test something, build sets etc. This will come in handy, cheers :D

Please don't PM/IM me with requests

You could use Pescado's No Stray Respawn hack. I already have that installed, and was planning on killing off a bunch of strays in my neighborhoods so I could make my own.

Thanks for the hack, Jordi. It'll really save me a lot of time in going to play some neighborhoods I haven't played since I installed Pets. (That dagnabbed "creating pets" screen. I don't even want the premade strays, with their premade names. I want to make cats that have fallen in radioactive waste as my strays, dagNABBIT.)

You may do the same with all hoods. I made a new template for the N001, D001, and all the Uni lots. N001 affect all new created hoods (all townies and NPCs are generated from there), so if you delete all Townies and NPCs from root hood N001, new townies and NPCs will be generated and you will not have the same Goopies, Tellermans, etc or Lucies, Kaylyns, etc. (very important for people like me that replaced all the start models).
In Uni you may simply delete ALL characters, better, choose only the ones you want.
Sequence doesn't matter, the game create new Instance Nrs for every addition anyway. Professors are new generated if they are not there.
When you choose your preferred characters, care for that they do not have relatives in their memories (this would create a no character data thumbnail). For example, if you delete the characters from Downtown or OFB, like the stablished families, you have to delete ALL the members of the same family. Townies and NPCs don't have relatives, but some teens downtown are connected to the dead elder lying in the local cemetry.

N001 can just be renamed to stop townies from being imported. The other hoods can be avoided by not using them. P001 is the only one that can't be avoided, so for that you NEED an empty template.

Did you get an empty family added to a new hood. I mean an empty dog family?
I got one in my game but up now I didn't see any harm.
Well, maybe I'll try your template instead.

Not with the template replacement (and deleted characters folder) in place. I stripped out Roseland and the Critturs.

Jordi, you are my HERO. Between this and your "hide outfits" mods, you've made my game soooo much better. Thank you thank you thank you.

60+ strays was absurd....

Jordi, Thanks for this wonderful mod. I have a question though - Seasons seemed to add new Townies into every neighbourhood. Is there anyway you can update your work here to stop the new townies spawning from Seasons as well?

Thanks for your more than 8 sims hack. It adds so much more joy and flexibility to my game!!
