How do you use it

like the downshift. Place it, put the object on top and use the invisible recolor.

This's simply great and save a lot of new objects for a raised height.

I wonder if it's good to have a pie menu for users to choose 4 different height values:
1. 1-click-high/1-step-high/+0.1875
2. 2-click-high/1-step-high/+0.375
3. 3-click-high/1-step-high/+0.5625
4. 4-click-high/1-step-high/+0.75

I've made a lot with height values other than a multiple of 1-click-high/1-step-high/0.1875 for the ground and it seems the game runs well so far in that instance. But I've not done some more nefarious experiments on that yet. I kinda assume the upper story/level should be a multiple of 1-click-high/1-step-high/0.1875 for connecting/modular stairs to work. And as you know, the TS1-styled old staircase only works for 1-click-high/1-step-high/0.1875 probably unless one has a mod like the one Inge made for uneven roads.

I have actually thought of making additional objects for different heights. But on sloped tiles, this could even get to a quarter of a step.

That sounds as if you were more excited about that game than about this...

I wonder, can you put a Sim on it? It would be great for posing, for those of us who don't have OFB.

One of my favorite changes in AL is the ability to shift paintings up and down walls. (I counted 28 available slots! Sadly, wall-mounted TVs can't be moved.) Do you know if the new painting-shift functionality interferes with your upshift and downshift mods? I'm thinking they could work nicely together, but only if they don't latch onto the same resources.

there should not be interference, as they operate in entirely different ways. I move the floor, EA moves the object, so to speak. I will test it, though.

Shifted object can not be wallmoved while on the Xshift, but no problems otherwise

You have truly joined the ranks of those creators who are absolutely indispensable to the Sims community. It is wonderful to have new ways of designing, and I can't thank you enough. Well worth the wait!

Thank you so much for all your hard work, on this as well as the DownShift. Nicely done.
