that happens even if the Beauty wish is successful. But if it fails your sim won't get attracted,but other sims will still ring the doorbell.

also i find it easy to get the lamp. just maximize all the skills and with that you maximize your sim hobbies which increase the chance of getting it. i got it yesterday by maximizing logic skill for my alien sim(tough i also increased Science on purpose by making him look for planets with the telescope, and today with sims i just made because i made them craft stuff and made them paint to increase creativity skill(art&craft hobby)

but i tough it was pretty random,because i didn't have this mod, but i have the buyable genie lamp(10000) one

I only ever got the lamp once, and only after I had made a couple in CAS. I have no idea what I did, if anything, but this is the only time it occurred for me.

I think I'll get something below 50% anyway.

I was just about to upload a mod that lowered the chance of getting the genie lamp, since in my game it turns up in every household and I'm getting bored of everyone being able to wish for more cash! I worked out what to change myself myself, since I didn't know this mod existed, I wish I did as it would have saved me a lot time!

Anyway I still have a mod to lower rather than increase the chance, if anyone's interested?

That would be great! I've been getting the lamp too often in my game as well.
