finally, the "gables" don't have to look so bare, i just wish that they were something that could be added to any and all wall types.

Thank you, how about an order for wooden vents, similar to those found on older houses?

A dog lover after my own heart. I have too many dogs, or so says my wife, sorry a little inside joke, she loves them as much if not more than I. We have 6 part wolf/shepard mixes and one Pit Bull. We live in the country on 3 1/2 acres, anyway, one day this Pit hobbled on to our property, and after 3 vet visits and a few weeks of checking the paper for lost dogs, and finding none, he became member of the family. There is only one small problem, when he first arrived we just called him Dog, the name stuck, it is all he responds to now. He looks very much like Dogue De Bordeau, and is the sweetest thing. We were forced to have him fixed :argh: we have enough dogs already.

Upon reflection I feel I must agree with SexyShelly in that having the ability to place your gable vents on any wall backgroud would be a real treat. I know nothing of your work so this is just a shot in the dark, but do walls use alpha channels, and if so could they be used to allow any back ground to show up behind your vents. BTW. no matter what else, I love the way these vents add character to my projects, wondered if you had ever thought of making any in a hexagon shape for use on Victorian houses, maybe with alittle gingerbread on them, hey it's just a thought. Thanks for all the hard work.

i made the vents thru homecrafter... no clue if there's an alpha channel involved

i can definatly make a hexagonal vent... but the way i'm set up now, i have to know what kind of background you want it on etc etc etc...

i also wish there was a way to just 'place' the vent, like a window or a light or something... this was the best i could come up with till someone figures it out :/

I have no complaints, I truly understand the limitation of the game, I have built over 37 houses in the Victorian style for one township alone. I can build it seems I just can't creat new content, I have no talent in that regards. I am almost finished with a new house, here is a picture so you can see the gable siding I am using.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you. I am always looking for exterior siding enhancements. I am hoping to find more gable/peak decorations, such as faux trim and scroll work that you see on Victorian Homes. The best I can manage for this effect is to use an interior wallpaper that has a swag or top border. The problem with that is they don't match the siding texture or color on the rest of the house very well.
