Download somewhere were you can easily find it. Then using something like WinRAR unrar it and put the resulting package into your normal downloads folder for the Sims 2 game.

I prefer rar (I had used zip in the past) since it uses less steps to do the same process as a zip would. (And while this is not a big issue the file size is smaller at the end.) For me not having to click through 3 or 4 screens but just 1 or 2 is worth it when I am doing a batch of items. You can find a good rar program by googling for Winrar. Most versions are free.
