I'll certainly be using the whole lot in my game. Thank you very much for a valiant effort; I like it lots.

It didn't occur to me that Ivy might be parasitic, so I did a quick google search and turned up this little bit of information:

Quote:
"An organism that grows and feeds on or within another organism, while contributing nothing to the survival of its host, is parasitic. Ivy is not a parasite but an epiphyte, a plant that grows on, but does not feed on, its host. Unlike true parasitic plants, (such as mistletoe, whose roots tap directly into the resources of the host plant) ivy has its feeding roots anchored in the ground and simply uses the tree as a support to climb to the light. The masses of tiny, hair-like roots sprouting from the under-surface of the stems simply provide support and allow the plant to climb."

Maybe you were thinking of Mistletoe? Anyway, I'm glad to know people are still downloading these guys.

We-e-e-l-l... I was only speaking from memory, and I *did* say, I *believe*... and, yeah, mistletoe did cross my mind. I didn't know ivy was strictly an epiphyte, though - long time since I was researching botany - so thanks for (ahem) uprooting that little tidbit.

I have to say, also that I'm rather enamoured of the notion of your water sprite. Potamids, naiads, crenae and limnads always appealed to me. Do you think it would be possible to add spume, ripple or swirl-effects, where the whorls just barely show through, with textures or bump maps? This could also be used to embody wind/air spirits - Boreas, Zephyrus, Eurus, Notus and Bara, the wandjina, or Rye Wolf/Corn Maiden - with translucid skins. Heck, even a djinn in the form of a dust vortex would be cool... Iris (rainbow spirit) would be incredible if someone could pull off a subvitreous spectrum effect - perhaps to double as a soap-bubble character? But I'm blathering again.

Sorry for making you wade though all that. What I really wanted to impart was: Thank you. You filled my mind with fanciful ideas I'd thlought long-lost, making dull evenings not merely tolerable, but pleasurable, and for that I am very grateful.

Wow I just saw this sim for the first time and I can't help but think EA seriously ripped you off. Obviously by looking at the Ikea set here and the new Ikea stuff you can clearly see that they constantly take other people's work. I don't care if they own the game they should at least give credit where it's due.

Absolutely brilliant! Can't help but notice that having the Ivykini as a two-piece item is kinda frustrating when you want your dryad to have the same outfit for everyday, formal undies, pjs, swimwear, athletic and outerwear. I've tried to retexture some of the swimsuits and undies with yorur textures but, for the most bizarre reason, it won't work and I just end up with a sliver of green on the left of my sim's back! It would be so awesome if you uploaded the Ivykini as a onepiece!

Still fantastic, though! Nice to see a Scottish creator with such fab ideas

If I buy 3 oranges and 2 apples, how far south of Scotland am I?
