Run as administrator, maybe that will help
Works fine for me and I'm running Windows 10. I didn't need to run it as administrator but your setup may be different.

Incredibly cool. Thank you @Raxdiam

Works right out of the box in Windows 10. Essential piece of software for any mod shopper. :up: :D :Pint:

With the number of mods and CC I have I probably couldn't function without this (last count 363 active out of 479), especially with different versions of mods and add-ons that mod creators include with their mods, it's nice to be able to click and choose and makes tracking outdated mods that are causing errors easier.
Unfortunately I've noticed the Mod Manager is not supporting ts4script files. When I've tried to add a script mod, only the package files are loaded, I still have to manually add all my script mods and then still only the .package files show in Mod Manager. It's not a huge issue since I don't have nearly as many script mods as package mods, but the description indicated it also supported .ts4script files and I wanted to make sure it wasn't an error or if there's some setting I need to change in order to see and load .ts4script files with the manager.

This is unusable for non-english speakers. The save and mods folder is called "Les Sims" in french for instance whereas the mod manager is looking for a folder called "The Sims" and won't let us change it in the settings. What a shame!

I have a shopping problem. After I acquire items, I'd like to look at each one and be able to remove or keep it in an organized fashion. I can't figure out how to get this tool to let me see the objects/sims/build mode/etc. Am I using this incorrectly? Is that beyond the ability of the tool?

Please advise.

thanks,

Lori

It sounds like it's beyond the ability of the tool itself. Unfortunately it seems the mod-creator is retired, so the tool hasn't been updated in a while and no longer supports script mods, but if you're referring to the ability to "see" CC items and add/remove them after making sure what they are (like if the package has an unclear title and you can't remember what it is) while there's no easy way to do this, you could try installing S4PE so that you can open the package file and check the IMG resources. Some CC is nice and includes a thumbnail in the .package file, but otherwise, while the IMG file just shows the textures in an unfolded setup, checking them can help you figure out what the item is and you can just delete it from your Mods folder.

Go to "Documents\TS4 Mod Manager\config" and change "The Sims" to "Les Sims"
and change "autoupdate = true" to "autoupdate = false"
launch the mods manager, problem solved.

you're welcome...

Thank You so much for this Mod Manager. I have always used this one since it first came out and love it. I have even tried other Mod Managers and this one provides the functionality I enjoy. I like that I can add or remove my mods simply by scrolling down the list and ticking or unticking the box next to the mod. Also love that I can create a sub-folder for each item type, such as one for Build Mode items and CAS Items.

Same problem as darkfae3. Definately needs an update.
Would also be cool (but admittedly difficult, I am a fellow programmer) to grab and download mods should one provide the URL from modthesim as well as checking against the version availible upon start.

Raxdiam, thanks for giving it a shot. I guess I'm spoiled by Mod Manager for Fallout, Skyrim and other Bethesda games. This mod manager is basically a mod listing program, not a manager. For example, unless I'm missing something, this MM does not recursively search sub-folders even though the game allows users to install mods several folders deep. I could go on, like not warning of conflicts. And so on. But, I'm a programmer myself and can appreciate the effort to create a mod listing program.

The best is dying first!
I understand that this MM is no longer working properly? I noticed that the ts4scripts are not loading as needed.
Let's say it all together: Goodbye!

Hello, can't figure how to launch the Mod Manager. My mod directory is in documents\Electronic Arts but there's no way I can point TS4MM to there.
My installation is in French so I tried to change the config file as you advised earlier but it's not better.

It looks like this before i touch anything :
[window]
location = 728; 298
size = 500; 450

[general]
ts4 =
autoupdate = true
removeapprove = true

[window]
location = 728; 298
size = 500; 450

Should I do this ?
[general]
ts4 = Les Sims 4
autoupdate = false
removeapprove = true

Is this still working as of November 22, 2020 and will there ever be a way for game modifications to be tagged for updating?

i'm confused, i can't get it to work without deleting that config file every time, is that safe or nessacary? also i'm really confused on making the folders and sorting stuff but folders aren't coming up except the first one i made and all my mods are just a hot mess now..

Same as me, the program can't find the Mods folder during installation and it's impossible to point to the Mods folder manually in the program because it doesn't detect any documents,

I'm having the same problem.
The program was working until Origin changed the directory several months ago.
I'm just going to remove the program.
