That happens because you have to edit a "headless" sim (like the Grim Reaper) to not get the sim face. As far as I know, there is not a way to make a regular sim "headless".

He is soo cute But like the others I have a head showing over the skull. I do have the Reaper (headless) too. It seems if I stay in CAS on everyday wear I have the skull. But once I go into any other category the head overlay shows. I do have all clothes categories enabled with Master Controller. And when I am in game I cant see the skull just the black head. So how exactly does this supposed to work? I followed all the directions. I love the skeleton but I cant seem to get this to work

Yes, unfortunately the current method for getting headless sims only seems to work for everyday outfits. So far, there is no other way to fix this, unless you edit off of a lifestate that is headless and cannot switch outfits at all, like maybe a mummy or a simbot. Of course, then there's the issue of the walking animation, but it does prevent them from changing out of the skeleton outfit. Although I believe trying to modify their formal, sleepwear, etc. will still cause the head to appear, if they don't switch out of everyday wear then you wouldn't have to modify their other outfits.

On a side note, I have been thinking of attempting to make a slider that might be able to achieve the headless effect. But it's likely not something that will happen very soon, because it does involve making a mesh-based slider for close to 36 (I think) meshes, and that's only for the highest detail meshes. For the lower detail meshes it's probably around 36 more, so yea, kind of annoying. But it would be possible.

Hey! Thank you for this cool mod! :D
I was just wondering, do you think it would be possible to make outfits for each category for this guy? I know the issues with "headless sims" but are there really no one who can make a mod that can make sims headless no matter what outfit they wear???

this is real cool. I'm curious though, do you think it'd be possible to make a skeleton that's not wearing clothes from this? i'm not really a modder but i'm curious if it'd be possible.

Also, i noticed a lot of people having trouble with the head thing. what if you mad an accessory that removed the head sort of like the no feet thing? Or if a hat did that and the skull was an accessory? Just throwing ideas out here.

I probably could make a skeleton without clothes, but I'd have to make brand-new models for most of the body, such as the rib cage and pelvis. Parts like the skull, limbs, and hands could be reused. Definitely possible to make, though.

It wouldn't work to make an accessory or hat that removed the head, because the head model works differently from the feet/shoes. The feet can easily be made invisible by making an invisible "shoe" model, because the entire feet model actually gets swapped out when you change the shoes. But with the head, the model doesn't get swapped out for anything when you switch the hair/hat, so making an invisible hair/hat model would just result in a bald sim.

Something that might work for hiding the head, though, would be to make a slider that shrinks all of the head into one point, which could be then hidden inside the skull model. Not by shrinking the head bone, but by actually shrinking the model of the head, so it doesn't shrink the skull as well. Theoretically it would work, but the problem with that method would mostly be that it takes a long time to make a slider like that, which is the main reason I haven't tried it yet.

After all this time, finally got Supernatural. First thing I did was load up an existing household, killed a sim, got Grim, and made a skeleton sim with his template. This thing is fantastic. I noticed you rigged the jaw to move when they speak, so 1000 bonus points to you! I am in love.

I love the concept of this mod, but I wish there was a 50/50 chance of getting either through the Bonehilda coffin (so you could have the pair work in the same house).

First of all: I have loved this download ever since it came out. As Halloween approaches once again, I decided to revive my old Spooky Town save and wanted to inhabit it with a couple of other skeletons apart from Bonehilda & her souldmate butler. Bodywise, his head works great with Esmeralda's Mr. Skeleto's body. Which is why I tried to dabble with the head itself in S3PE and milkshape a bit, but didn't manage to get rid off the monocle (which I love as an addition for the actual skele-butler, please don't get me wrong! :lovestruc ). You know, just to have a simple skull without any kind of glasses. There're a lot of cool accessories we as players could put on him (like sunglasses for a hot day on the beach, for example) or a scarf accessory for when it gets cold -- Also, he looks simply fabulous with different hat-slider compatible hats; be it supernatural wizard hats or "normal" ones!

Would you deem it possible to release a version of his skull without the monocle in the near or distant future? I bet a lot other player's would enjoy this as well

PS: Needless to say that I'm madly in love with your other creations on here as well. I just had Eboni join a band of supernatural creatures, where the skele-butler actually plays the keyboard/piano

Oh my god, I love your ideas about putting accessories on the skeletons and using the Mr. Skeleto body and making a spooky themed town! There's actually already an accessory-less version of the skull head made by Lord Simlish on Tumblr. It's pretty cool; it's even got different verions for male and female!
Also, I'm so glad to hear that Eboni gets to be part of a supernatural band! I always intended to make a whole band for her to be part of, but I never ended up doing it.

Might the fancy skeleton-dress-up begin then! :D

Hi, how are you?
First, thank you very much for the mod, really cool, I loved it.

But unfortunately I have a glitch, I downloaded the accessory-less mod version of the skull head, to have the 3 skull options, but I do not know why, but the no accessory does not appear in my game, I tried to reinstall the mods, and now Skeleton Butler mod is appearing in my game even without any files in the mods folder, I'm finding it very strange and I don't know what to do, it's not even possible to delete it from within the game.

Can you help me please?
