does this mod still replaces the city living game night event? it would be great if you made this mod not replace the video night event.

What do you mean that it's replacing event?
I've just checked and my event and game night event have completely diffrent IDs so my mod should not replace the one from game... I checked also text, but also my text strings seem to be unique (at least I didn't find any duplicates in the game). Can you please send me some more details, anything that could help me to check this?

first thank you for the wonderful mod idea. It looks exactly what I also could enjoy in my game, so I of course downloaded it.
I have the Movie Hangout pack, so I installed the IlkaVMovieEvening_MHcompatible.package.

Unfortunately, once I plan a movie night event at my friends house, this is what I'm getting :

(I can enter the house, but my Sim becomes invisible after).

(I can see the movie evening proceeding just fine if I remain outside the house)

(nothing seems unusual, in the top left corner I see the event progressing. The door is not locked either)

I'd like to mention that I had never before visited the lot.
I am also on the latest patch with my game, which is modded, but with few to no exceptions so far (crossing fingers).

Would you know why this is happening ? Any ideas would be very welcome, and thank you again for sharing the mod with us.

Hi, I'm really sorry you have that issue. I tried to replicate it and so was starting the event on different lots, in various worlds. But it was showing fine each time in my game (I tested with vanilla game and also having all mods I usully use). I had however similar issue with one mod just after recent patch, but I don't remember now which mod was causing that problem. Please try to see if maybe you have another mod that is causing this. If not, maybe this is just a glitch connected with this specific lot you tried?

Thank you very much for your reply. I admit that I had recently added some new mods (yours included), but I always check with the "semi-official" thread on the EA forums if the mod is up-to-date patch-wise or not. If I don't see it, I make sure to read the mod description and author's recommendations for the current patch, and failing that need a confirmation of it working in the comments before installing.

I try to be very cautious, so it's a bit disheartening that this is happening, but you're most probably right that it could be a faulty mod. The lot belongs to Lilsimsie's save file, so I don't think it could be the cause, since so many other people use it without (known to me) issues.

I just remembered that in TS3 lots needed to be "opened" before one could see interiors, so I wanted to ask, but I'm not even sure that it works the same in TS4. I guess not.

I'll keep trying to fix the issue if I can, and I would like to thank you for your support.

I hope you'll find the cause! In the end, we all interfere with the game, so it's possibly that used alone, mods are ok, but for some reasons are causing issues when added together? Hard to say, but I also have those problems with some mods that I loved to use in my game and now they are not working for me, but my friend say for him the same mods are working fine :P

I really love this mod, and i´ve had a bunch of movie nights. Cant get it to work anymore though. I can choose a host and guests, but the "place and time" screen is blank
