thanks to everyone who took the time to write a quick note in here! this was originally the little girl's room for a beatnik family i designed - but i didn't get very far as i had to reformat my hard drive so i've been picking up the pieces...

there's also a rug (well...the old style 4 sections of carpet job i'll try and find it and put it on here too

i haven't done much else that's as finished as this - mainly trying to make my sims environment a bit more 'arty' - with some painted brickwork, floorboards etc. but i feel like doing a bit more now!

lilmizzkysez: i started with RGiles's mini tutorial on object recolours, which you can find here (oops, can't get the link to work...its in the 'forums' section of this site under 'modding the sims 2' then 'tutorials'). you'll have to download and install a couple of programs, but if you already have photoshop (or another drawing package) its pretty simple to apply your own drawings to the texture files. if you have any probs you can send me a message and i'll try to explain a bit better!

cheers all

Default found the rug!!
ive found the rug that goes with this set - its just an old style rug made from 4 tiles of carpeting that fit together to make an image

ive tried to give it a slightly different texture to the carpet to make it a bit more fluffy lookin

hope you like it!

I cant find the paintings. When installed where do they show up when in buy mode? Great work btw.

[Edited to add] NVM found them in the build mode.
