What a godsend. Are these all standalone recolours or default replacements?

Thank you so much, I was going crazy last night looking for a window to put on my beach house that was CLEAR, like a window should be!!

Edit:
Something is wrong with them in game, they are dark like everything is in the shade, any idea why?

Hi,
They are stand alone recolors.

Have a great weekend.

Hi,

I'm not sure what you mean. The only thing I can think of is that since the original windows come with a white mist over the glass, these window panes would look darker next to them, as they do in the pictures. In other words, if they were not slightly darker they would not appear transparent. If your problem is something different, please clarify.

Hi Snowhaze, I took this screen shot last night. In this picture to the left I have the window I used first because you can see that the glass is totally clear and bright, I just don't care for the white pane look of it. Next to that is your window and to the far right the original window. This picture was taken in the afternoon, I can see the white film on the original window but your window is very dark. I assumed it would be clear and bright like the one to the far left, not sure who made it, it's also cc. I was not sure if the darkness was intended.

Hi,
Thanks for the screenshot. Seeing it is very helpful. I'm not sure why the windows in your picture look darker than the ones in my screenshots unless it has to do with what town your build is in,AS towns have subtly different lighting ( For example the lighting in the desert town is less bright and much yellower than in the other towns). As for your other question, yes, the window is supposed to be a shade darker than the original as that helps to create the effect. I'm guessing the reason the door in your picture is brighter is because it does not have the glass layer in place. You can ascertain this by slowly turning the building with the door or window placed on it, when in sunlight, and watching for a faint white sheen passing over the window that represents a reflection of the sun. If the glass was in place and the tint was completely removed it would also likely affect the reflection.

I co-sign with this!! I'd LOVE for these to override the defaults. The glass on the maxis windows are so trash, that's why I don't even bother with them.
