Thank you very much for this wonderful mod! The sheep are adorable and I can't imagine how much work this must have taken! I'm looking forward to being able to make a medieval game where wool is a big commodity!

You said to send you any ErrorTrap messages, so just now I got these after unpausing my game. It's a new save, and I'm still on the first day. Even though it's several hours in (and I have staggered the time when I bought them) I haven't been able to shear any of them. I also don't have any grazing patches.

Two of them threw up the error messages and were lazy male sheep. They are both now kind male sheep and and I no longer have the option to rename them. Other sheep who didn't glitch were also affected, with their genders, personalities, or both changing.

I quit to the desktop without saving and tried again, but I still got errors.

Hopefully that's all the information you need. Thank you for your time!

Hey- if you said something to me in a post and I didn't write back, I'm sorry. Sometimes I don't feel good enough to post and by the time I'm able to the thread's old enough that I feel kind of weird about bumping it just to post one or two sentences. So please don't take it personally! :)

- Not necessarily recommended if you're not sure what a RLST is and what to do, but removing the slots may do the trick here.

I love the sheep. They're so cute, my farmer sim just adopted two: Woolliam and Ewegenia. I have the same issue with there being no shearing option. After deleting the grazing patch from the lot, there's still no option to shear. I replaced both sheep, and 48 sim hours later, there's still no option to shear. Could there be lingering RSLTs or similar? I tried using NRAAS Master Controller to look for any random jigs on the lot, and there weren't any. What else could I be missing?

Edit: Also, is there any way to tune how frequently the sheep pee? Because they pee, like, a LOT.

Well, I was finally able to test the sheep with no CC (except for NRaas mods) in my game. I started a new game in Sunset Valley, and they're still not working as they should:

- I bought one, waited a couple of sim hours, and then bought another one. The oldest had her Social Needs motive stuck at 0.4, even after I had my sims talk to her several times and they stayed stuck until I saved and quit to the desktop...

- … And when I loaded the game back up, both the sheep had their personalities and genders changed. I saved and exited later, and their genders and personalities had changed again!

- It's been over 24 sim hours now and I still don't have the option to shear them. Like tamalinn, I checked the lot with Master Controller and there don't seem to be any jigs.

- The instructions that pop up when you load a game aren't really accurate: it says to "Buy a shelter, a hitching post, and a grazing field from the Kids room > Pets section". The only sheep-related object in that folder is one of the three Pets hitching posts. The other objects are in Pet Essentials > All, but the grazing patches are in Decor > Misc., which is a pretty large folder if you've downloaded a lot of CC! It might be a good idea to move them to one of the Pet Essentials folder.

- Your comment (#76) says that the grazing patches are optional, but the instructions imply that a social worker will come if you don't have one on your lot! IMO, it'd be helpful to clarify that.

- I agree with tamalinn that the sheep seem to pee a lot! I only had two and there were about four pee puddles around them.

I'm attaching these ScriptError logs. Three of them just look like the normal correction logs that are supposed to run, but I did get an ErrorTrap message logged as I quit to the desktop the second time. Landgraab Estate is the lot I was testing the sheep on.

Hopefully you can get them to work - like I said, it's a great mod and it's clear you've put a lot of work into it!

Thanks for the amazing mod! The sheep are real cuties! <3

I've been using it for a while now, so I just wanted to know if I could somehow disable the pop up message at the start of the game. After a time it just got slightly annoying to me, sorry for being petty about these kinds of things .-.

@meeri123 I really should look into that I also have my sheep in some of my saves, and such saves I then reused for testing stuff (like the randomizer mod. So my routine of: "start game > wait 5 min for loading > Game has loaded, press enter on all the pop-ups > test > quit game > repeat", it then really gets on my nerves :p. so I seriously know how annoying it is lol!

I've been slowly getting back to coding again, so I'll try and do this as soon as possible

HI there! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this mod, but for me it seems to be quite buggy. I always get a scripterror from Nraas related to the sheep (and errortrap notifications while I'm in game), and it slowed my game down quite a bit. Is this normal? Is there something I have to set in one of my nraas mods to avoid this problem? I really want to use this, especially with the new knitting mod!

Hey hello. Thanks for the mod(s). As you asked here are the script errors the sheep are throwing at startup. I have a total of 9 Sheep in world across 2 lots. 1 a community lot farm and 1 residential lot. Though Im only getting errors for the farm sheep.

The only reason I can think of it slowing down may be with the number of sheep are in the world (because, unlike sims, they do show animations and all that stuff even if you're not looking at them). I should probably write a idling script for that.

I love to be able to have sheep in my game, they look perfect, but I have some questions.

How do you get the option to name the sheep? I’m only able to talk to them and check their needs.

Also, how long until the gather wool option comes up (I have the knitting mod)? It’s been several sim days. I wonder if the sheep are possibly reset everytime I launch the game because there is a scripterror everytime?

Is there a way to remove the pop up message on startup? I find it a bit annoying and as someone commented the information there is wrong anyway, I found the sheep and hitching posts (I suppose it’s the ones used for horses since I found no new ones) under Pets but everything else was in Decor.

Hey @Lyta !

1. To name your sheep, you do needto make sure it's not on any community lot! So if it's on your resident lot, it should show the option

2.(On the wool) That's entirely possible, that indeed by nraas resetting the sheep (rightfully so) that the cooldown gets reset. So there's never any wool... I did get it working for residential sheep, it just doesn't if they're on a community lot. (although that's by design assuming that your sheep are on a community lot or any other lot that isn't your sim's)

3. That's the first thing I did when going through all the requests and bugs I'm currently sorting out So in the next update it won't be there! I do need to indeed fix up the catalogue info a bit, because that's indeed incorrect.

Hopefully I get the bugs sorted soon! But I do promise it will be super soon!

I just got around to shearing sheep and knitting! I have 4 sheep on a residential lot outside of my house, which I have called a pasture. These two sheep, for the moment, are producing many balls of yarn and are not giving any error messages.

It looks really fun when you play with farmer sims so I downloaded this mod originally when I did, however I quit playing that family and because I found the pop up each time my game loads about the mod annoying, I deleted all the sheep files (and rechecked that all sheep related files from the zip file I can download here) is indeed gone. However, every time I start my game now I get a pop up saying there's stuff missing for this mod. I obviously always delete my cashes, I use regul's savecleaner & I have several NRAAS mods (including the basics like errortrap, overwatch, MC, SP)

I keep having a problem with the sheep being starved and I have 2 of the horse troughs but I still keep getting the message. It wont stop. Is there something I can set or do I need to delete them and start over?
