Hi mrdione, though I have already implemented the trait and zodiac system, I like what you did there ! I hope you'll like it anyway (if I am ever able to fix the robe colour problem -_-')

If the robes are causing too much trouble, maybe consider skipping them and letting folks find their own Hogwarts gear from available custom content. Also, I noticed the trait and zodiac system is cool, but it currently only accommodates one trait per house. Just a thought: adding more traits could enhance the mod. If it's too tricky, no worries, it'll still be a fun mod. Ever considered reaching out to Pudding Face or other modders for help? They might have insights on the robe issue. 😊

Hi mrdione, I am on the Sims 3 creator discord server with them yes . Someone mentioned something to try for the robe colours.

If I remember well, the issue with adding more traits to take in consideration was that in the end your sim could be sorted in all four houses ^^'. While now if you sort them many times in a row, it will just be tow options (either trait based or zodiac based).

Thank you for your interest, it's motivating me !

Oh btw, for the next update, here are some suggestions for more traits to be added into the Sorting Hat's consideration process
(I'm going to include some of the traits and zodiac signs you already mentioned earlier, with the new traits in bold) :

GRYFFINDOR: leo, virgo, cancer, brave + adventurous, athletic, charismatic, daredevil, good, good sense of humor, loves the outdoors, lucky, party animal, social butterfly, star quality,

RAVENCLAW: capricorn, gemini, sagittarius, genius + bookworm, hopeless romantic, cat person, hates the outdoors, neat, neurotic, perceptive, perfectionist, shy, socially awkward, virtuoso

HUFFLEPUFF: taurus, pisces, libra, workaholic + animal lover, easily impressed, eco-friendly, excitable, friendly, gatherer, green thumb, natural cook, dog person, nurturing, disciplined

SLYTHERIN: scorpio, aries, aquarius, ambitious + brooding, diva, dramatic, evil, snob, proper, kleptomaniac, family-oriented, night owl, equestrian, rebellious, schmoozer,

Personally, I really like how you chose the traits for houses. Makes lots of sense to me, and is in line with how I would handle it.

Default The traditional Chinese translation
Love your mods! This is the traditional Chinese translation.
By the way, the link in your introduction about the Hogwarts robes for teens from Sil Fantasy is not for teenagers, it's for adults. You put a wrong link.
I have another question. Is it OK to just download the robes in Sil Fantasy's link? Or do I need to download the tops, too?

my sims' bodies disappear after they get sorted, just leaving floating heads and shoes visible. fixable if you change them back to their everyday wear but very annoying. probably bad cc. i don't recommend downloading the suggested robes...or if you do clean them first. probably my fault for trusting the recommended cc wouldn't be corrupt

If the bodies disappear, it means you don't have the correct CC robe installed. You could try decrapifying the robes sims3packs and of course make sure you download the right version (for teens)

i downloaded the correct robes for teens. i'll try decrapifying

update: it didn't work and caused other items in my game to stop working properly.
i had to start over all my saves and reinstall everything which after years of playing TS3
didn't take long because I always keep my (pre-cleaned) cc organized and saved in a back-up folder on my desktop.

Maybe I am just unlucky - but the good news is the mod itself works fine, i just wish I had a version that didn't cause my teens to automatically switch outfits once sorted.

I'd be happy to just have the pop up message and buffs. but like I said i could be unlucky. it seems to work for everyone else

Then the version from april 2022 is what your are looking for (you'll only get the messages and don't need the robes)

May I ask what issues are causing the robes on other items ?

Awesome thanks and it was the other clothing i'd downloaded from the creator who made the robes, turns out i had several items from them and they all started making my sims invisible until I reinstalled without the robes
